In a recent conversation with Dish, I was told that I had a two year contract. I knew such was not the case because I would never sign one for two (2 )years.  I asked them to send me a copy of the contract. A week or so a copy of the contract was sent to me and on it was my signature forged four (4) times. I immediately called Dish and the representative  acted shocked and dismayed and immediately connected me to the Executive Resolution  people. Daniel Vega explained to me that they needed a copy of my signature on a government document like my driver's license and once received they would look into it because this was serious stuff. He would be getting back to me.

I should mention that I googled Dish and forged signatures and it appeared to me that I was far from the first person that this had happened to. I did not see a problem with Direct when I googled them.

So I used my iphone to snap some pictures of my license, immediately sent them and also emailed Mr. Vega asking that he confirm receipt of the pictures and that they were ok.   No word back, so  emailed him several days later. No response.  So a week later he calls me, tells me the picture out of  signature is out of focus and ask that  I send him another. I immediately do and also write him to again tell me he had received the copy and also stating that if focus not acceptable, I would swing by a Dish office and they could take a picture. Again no response. My sense is they are stonewalling and thinking I will just go away.

A week goes by, so I call Vega this morning. He puts me on hold to see where things are in my case and comes back in couple of minutes to tell me that yes it is not my signature and they are willing to cancel my cancellation fee for early cancellation. I tell him that I need more than that in that forging my signature is an illegal act and they are not treating it as seriously as I am taking it.

The contract on which my signature was forged was totally typed written other than for my signature. It  also included the typed in serial #s of the equipment installed in my home. Now anyone who has ever had Comcast, Direct or Dish install equipment in their homes knows that the company does not know those #s until after installation is completed because so much usually changes from what is initially agreed on over the phone and what is actually installed, hence much is hand written on the contract the customer signs at the time of installation. This document with me forged signature was obviously done after installer left my home and Dish knew it.

I think there are probably more than a few Dish customers out there that think they signed a year contract while they actually have a 2 year contract with Dish that bears forged signatures . If you are a
Dish customer, you should call Dish and ask them to send you a copy of your contract.

Dish thinks I am going away. They are wrong. I take this a bit more seriously than they do. I will be suing them and they will spend some time and money dealing with me.  Everyone needs to start holding companies and others to a standard of conduct. Too many let this stuff goes and therefore it never stops.

The same thing happened to my sister, she took dish on Saturday and the signature was forged...also this transaction is within the 72 hour frame to cancel if not satisfied.Dish now tells her there is no such 72 hour period..The contract is through an e-mail with a fraudulent hand written initial that is not even her correct initials..Dish is adamant that she will pay 400. plus some extra. They are seniors living on social security..They are unable to use the remote as it is too complicated. The tech left the satellite on the ground. What a terrible experience and Dish will not remove the fees eventhough it is onlyless than 3 days. I would appreciate any advise. We are not quitting!!!!!!!!!

Dish has forged my signature on a 2 year contract that I did not sign. I never signed anything. They will not back down and are trying to get $1083.10 from me. I will be fighting them. I hope things work out for your sister.

    Contact your state Attorney General..
They might "remember" their cancellation policy if they get a letter from the AG.

This exact same thing happened to me and many others that I have found on the BBB, Ripoff Report and Consumer Affairs, and many other sites.  I would like to join with you to get as many people that this has happened to together and bring a joint lawsuit against Dish to prevent them from continuing with this practice.  I just can not understand how they are getting away with it but I think if we group together we can get results.  I am going to set up a website page for all of the people whose names have been forged and then screwed financially by Dish so we can all get together to get an attorney to put them out of  business for forgery and false advertising.  Every time I see one of their commercials that states they don't increase the price like their competitors in the second year I feel sick.  MY SIGNATURE WAS ALSO FORGED AND I CAN NOT GET DISH TO ADMIT IT AND RESOLVE IT. I CAN PROVE IT IS NOT MY SIGNATURE.  i am also going to the police and my congressman to try and get Dish stopped for continuing to get away with forgery.   Please everyone who this has happened to go to the police, your congressman, state attorney so we can get them stopped and prosecuted.  I have started looking for others this has happen to and I have found over 1000 people who have had their names forged on a contract that they never signed.  We can win this if we all group together to go after them.

I will join in also, they pasted my signature to a digital contract that says to read before signing, however they never allowed me to review anything. I refused flat out to sign anything. I was promised if I was unsatisfied in any way, that I could call and cancel and they would even get me the same discounted package price with Cox Cable, or a cheaper price. After nearly two hours of debating with the door salesman I finally agreed to try it since he assured me there were no hidden fees, and I could rest assured that if I changed my mind, they would handle everything with Cox, whom he stated they were contracted with. Within two weeks of the service, I cancelled. I even spoke with a lady who confirmed I was not held to any contracts because I did not pay the initial $38 fee on a card (because if I had, the contract  would have been read via phone and I would have to say I understand and accept). The following few months they would send random and bogus bill statements to my email. I called them to have my card take my card off file (the card I was told was only going to be charged $1 to to verify the initial setup and  be later refunded), two months later they are not only sending bills again, but creating fraudulant charges in the statement!

This exact thing happened to me. You can see where they took my credit authorization signature and copied it onto the contract. This is fraud!

We too have had our signature digitally pasted and copied on a contract that we were informed by the installation tech was the installation agreement. He said that it was to just confirm that he had installed all equipment and instructed her in the proper way of operating said equipment. We were never informed that this would be a two contract agreement else we would never have signed anything. I am sure of this, that we're they honest about it being two contracts, no one would ever sign on with them. Could you please send me an e-mail because I would love to file suit against these scammers. Emails is: dacewiley@gmail.com

I am also a victim.  I canceled my service in December. I was told I would have an early termination fee of about $250 because I was in a two year contract. However, I was never informed of this contract. I was then told I had signed a contract prior, so I asked if I could receive a copy. I had to call three times before I was finally emailed a copy and was shocked to see that my signature had been forged. Not only did they forge my signature but they also spelled my name wrong on the document and in the signature. When I called customer service about this issue I was told the contract did not matter because they had informed me of the contract over the phone. They did not even seem surprised by the fact that my signature was forged. I asked if they had a recorded copy of the conversation and they said they had one but not anymore. I got an email on March 5th notifying me that my service had been disconnected. After I called to make sure I did not owe anything and was informed all charges had been removed from my account. So, I logged into my account and had a 0 balance. I assumed everything was taken care of until I received another bill last week saying I owed the termination fee again.

I would happily join anyone who wanted to take action against Dish Network.

Please let me know when all of you want to fight. We should sue them together. I had my DISH disconnected in April. I was so disgusted with their service. I was suppose to have a certain price for one year. They changed it at 10 months and could not explain why. I had them for 13 months. They claimed I broke a 2 year contract. I never signed any contract. After fighting with them for awhile about the termination fee, they said they would send a copy of the contract. I received it 2 weeks later and I was horrified that they forged my signature and copied that forged signature in 4 places. The initials were forged too. After reading the contract , that I never saw, I WOULD NEVER HAVE SIGNED THAT! I would have told them where to shove their satellite. When I confronted them the first person I talked to seemed concerned but when they transferred me to accounting, they said they could not do anything and the signature looked different because it was electronically signed. I never signed that way either.
We can fight them as a group. Include me in the fight please.
