Complaint

In a recent conversation with Dish, I was told that I had a two year contract. I knew such was not the case because I would never sign one for two (2 )years.  I asked them to send me a copy of the contract. A week or so a copy of the contract was sent to me and on it was my signature forged four (4) times. I immediately called Dish and the representative  acted shocked and dismayed and immediately connected me to the Executive Resolution  people. Daniel Vega explained to me that they needed a copy of my signature on a government document like my driver's license and once received they would look into it because this was serious stuff. He would be getting back to me.

I should mention that I googled Dish and forged signatures and it appeared to me that I was far from the first person that this had happened to. I did not see a problem with Direct when I googled them.

So I used my iphone to snap some pictures of my license, immediately sent them and also emailed Mr. Vega asking that he confirm receipt of the pictures and that they were ok.   No word back, so  emailed him several days later. No response.  So a week later he calls me, tells me the picture out of  signature is out of focus and ask that  I send him another. I immediately do and also write him to again tell me he had received the copy and also stating that if focus not acceptable, I would swing by a Dish office and they could take a picture. Again no response. My sense is they are stonewalling and thinking I will just go away.

A week goes by, so I call Vega this morning. He puts me on hold to see where things are in my case and comes back in couple of minutes to tell me that yes it is not my signature and they are willing to cancel my cancellation fee for early cancellation. I tell him that I need more than that in that forging my signature is an illegal act and they are not treating it as seriously as I am taking it.

The contract on which my signature was forged was totally typed written other than for my signature. It  also included the typed in serial #s of the equipment installed in my home. Now anyone who has ever had Comcast, Direct or Dish install equipment in their homes knows that the company does not know those #s until after installation is completed because so much usually changes from what is initially agreed on over the phone and what is actually installed, hence much is hand written on the contract the customer signs at the time of installation. This document with me forged signature was obviously done after installer left my home and Dish knew it.

I think there are probably more than a few Dish customers out there that think they signed a year contract while they actually have a 2 year contract with Dish that bears forged signatures . If you are a
Dish customer, you should call Dish and ask them to send you a copy of your contract.

Dish thinks I am going away. They are wrong. I take this a bit more seriously than they do. I will be suing them and they will spend some time and money dealing with me.  Everyone needs to start holding companies and others to a standard of conduct. Too many let this stuff goes and therefore it never stops.

Same thing happened to my mom. She had requested a copy of the contract from a subcontractor. (That  was representing Dish) three different times and they kept saying they were sending it but never did. We finally got Dsh to send her a copy of the contract and my mom's signature had been forged in four different places. She never signed anything ever regarding installation or billing for Dish TV. making an appointment with the district attorney to see what our options might be. I just can't believe they can get away with forging anyones name.

Dish Network wants you all to give up, to surrender, and just pay them and drop it. They think that is the easy way to be rid of them and nearly everyone will comply because the amount is small. After seeing my name forged, I considered taking them to court but I haven't got the time or stamina for it. So instead, I filed complaints with both my home state AG office (Missouri) and with Dish Network's home state AG office (Colorado). I'm not asking for money, but I am demanding that Dish Network confess that it committed fraud against me by forging my name (and that it clear my credit report and cease the collections). I want to humiliate them.

My initials have been forged on the papers at the time of installation; i did not sign anything and was not informed that it was a two year contract. Is anyone sueing this company?

Just found out Dish forged my signature on new 2 year contract. I will never use them or recommend them.

Dish forged my signature on a 2 year contract also. They claimed the contract they said I signed gave them permission to take money out of my debit card for cancellation fees. I never remembered signing a contract. Looking thru my emails I saw the contract Dish sent me with a signature but it wasn't my signature. Dish withdrew money from my account for cancellation fees illegally. We need to file a class action lawsuit against Dish.

I too am also a victim of the "forged signature."  The name looks to state with a "S" and last name "B". I'm furious as they want me to pay the early termination fee. I think the attorney general should pay better attention to this company!!

I am in the same situation lets get together and file a class action lawsuit immediately. It is crazy when you request a copy of your signed contract and then you notice that That is not even your signature!  I am showing this to my attorney. Anyone that wants to join please email me at jackierodelas@live.com. We need to get all our money back and put a stop to these crooks. Maybe go social media with it so that a lot of people can team up.

Has anyone proceeded with class action or gotten any resolve on the forged contract issue?   Fighting with them right now over a forged contract they sent my mom a copy of.  She has had her name for 60 years - pretty sure she is capable of spelling it right one out of 4 times, if not all 4 times.   Despicable and unethical.   I will never recommend them to anyone - EVER - and would recommend anyone currently using them run as quick and fast as you can.  These people are crooked and will stop at nothing to screw their customers.

I reported them online to the FCC.  They are now handling it.  Contact the FCC to file a report.

They forged my initials also!!! I am still dealing with this. They finally agreed to void that contract but will not tell me anything as far as the person who forged my name. They claim they cannot do to privacy. What about my privacy, credit and such!! I am so angry! I will join with any lawsuits! This is not right!

My signature was just digitally added to a document that was never shown to me or discussed with me.  Putting me in a 2 year agreement that I never agreed to.   If someone does organize a lawsuit,  I want in!

I had been a customer of dish network for 3 years. In march 2016 I had an additional outlet installed in a second bedroom. When I ordered this over the phone I was first informed there would be a 95 dollar fee for the visit to install this. I told them to forget it, that I would be contacting other providers for my tv connections. Hold the phone.... Sir the fee is waived... ok  so i had the install and did sign a document stating  the install which I read very carefully, all the while the installer hovering over me saying all it says is I did the install.  Now in october I called to cancel and was informed I was under contract. What contract? I got a copy emailed to me along with the install form that I did sign.  It awas indeed a 2 year contract. The signature was an asymmetrical version of my signature that was cut and pasted into 3 seperate places. Any reasonable person could see that it would be immpossible so recreate these exact replicas by hand.

I, too, did not sign any contract. At first it was that I signed a contract with the 3rd party salesman. Now DISH is trying to tell me that when the installer gave me an I-pad to sign that was the contract. I didn't sign any contract. BBB says if I "unknowingly" signed the contract that it is the consumers responsibility to know everything they are signing. Please include me in a lawsuit.
