fraudulent signature
Complaint

Country: United States
In a recent conversation with Dish, I was told that I had a two year contract. I knew such was not the case because I would never sign one for two (2 )years. I asked them to send me a copy of the contract. A week or so a copy of the contract was sent to me and on it was my signature forged four (4) times. I immediately called Dish and the representative acted shocked and dismayed and immediately connected me to the Executive Resolution people. Daniel Vega explained to me that they needed a copy of my signature on a government document like my driver's license and once received they would look into it because this was serious stuff. He would be getting back to me.
I should mention that I googled Dish and forged signatures and it appeared to me that I was far from the first person that this had happened to. I did not see a problem with Direct when I googled them.
So I used my iphone to snap some pictures of my license, immediately sent them and also emailed Mr. Vega asking that he confirm receipt of the pictures and that they were ok. No word back, so emailed him several days later. No response. So a week later he calls me, tells me the picture out of signature is out of focus and ask that I send him another. I immediately do and also write him to again tell me he had received the copy and also stating that if focus not acceptable, I would swing by a Dish office and they could take a picture. Again no response. My sense is they are stonewalling and thinking I will just go away.
A week goes by, so I call Vega this morning. He puts me on hold to see where things are in my case and comes back in couple of minutes to tell me that yes it is not my signature and they are willing to cancel my cancellation fee for early cancellation. I tell him that I need more than that in that forging my signature is an illegal act and they are not treating it as seriously as I am taking it.
The contract on which my signature was forged was totally typed written other than for my signature. It also included the typed in serial #s of the equipment installed in my home. Now anyone who has ever had Comcast, Direct or Dish install equipment in their homes knows that the company does not know those #s until after installation is completed because so much usually changes from what is initially agreed on over the phone and what is actually installed, hence much is hand written on the contract the customer signs at the time of installation. This document with me forged signature was obviously done after installer left my home and Dish knew it.
I think there are probably more than a few Dish customers out there that think they signed a year contract while they actually have a 2 year contract with Dish that bears forged signatures . If you are a
Dish customer, you should call Dish and ask them to send you a copy of your contract.
Dish thinks I am going away. They are wrong. I take this a bit more seriously than they do. I will be suing them and they will spend some time and money dealing with me. Everyone needs to start holding companies and others to a standard of conduct. Too many let this stuff goes and therefore it never stops.

I'm still interested in a class action lawsuit.
Merry Christmas All.
Don't back down!
I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so that something was on the record via an independent third party. Now they are doubling down with new and clearly bogus contracts with signatures that look like a child made them) after I asked them to prove it and the customer service rep said she couldn't. I have never in my life dealt with a company that was so casual about what I consider a major fraud worthy of class action lawsuit status.
If any lawyer wants to take this case, I will help. I have begun documenting their lies now as it has become laughably absurd at this stage. I can't believe they haven't been sued out of business over this type of fraud.
