This person called me yesterday about a bill i do owe.  He asked me about paying $200 a month and i told him i did not have the finances to do that.  When i explained to him that i was not sure what i could pay he began being a complete jerk.  I told him, OK I will explain a little more so maybe you can understand.  I lost my husband to cancer on July 1 and therefore his SS income as well, so you will just have to forgive for now.  By this time i was in tears and i just hung up the phone.   He called right back, i didnt pick up and he left a voice mail that said, Now let me explain something so you understand, you cant use your husband...........   He continues to call back, three times.  i answer the phone then hang it up so he cant leave me anymore messages like that.  He called again this morning and left another message, though it wasnt has bad as the ones before.  I wish i could do something about this unkind person.

I work for this company. We are legit, have licenses and can provide any information you need. Do we get wrong numbers? Sure. It's as simple as saying WRONG NUMBER. the rest of these complaints crack me up, you have a debt and you owe it and most of you are trying to avoid it. We collect for check n go, Western sky, Ace cash express, cash central, spot-on, cashland, money key, loan me, and a wide range of credit cards and some medical bills. It's not hard to just admit you don't want to pay your bills. The number to our office is 1-855-909-0440 and if you want to call some lawyer, the attorney general or whoever you think is going to help you, be our guest. We have the proper licenses to collect in all states. Now stop avoiding what you rightfully owe.

Then maybe you should start by looking for the actual person and people who have nothing to do with these debt, including family members that don't won the debt.

Since you POS like to target and hunt us, perhaps we should start doing the same to you slime bags.

ACTUAL Debt Collector replies to "Christian"
Hi! I'm an ACTUAL credit card debt collector for a major national bank. We follow FDCPA, UDAP, TCPA, FACT, and other Federal/State regulations DOWN TO THE LETTER.
Christian, if the company you worked for was a LEGITIMATE and LICENSED debt collector the company WOULD NOT:
        1) Place outbound calls with a spoofed caller ID matching the area code and prefix. For instance, the company's phone number is 855-909-0440, yet the calls received will mirror the number being called, e.g. caller ID shows 541-890-3911 when calling someone whose number is 541-890-7653
        2) You would inform callers that you are collecting a debt when asked. If you ask the agents on the phone they will say they are a law firm, process server, or arbitration firm, NOT debt collectors. This is a deceptive practice.
        3) Would not threaten callers or customers with any legal action the company did not intend to take and follow through with. Not legitimate debt collector will call you to tell you that they will be serving court papers today(tomorrow), that you're being sued, or that you will be arrested. These are pressure tactics. They are deceptive and wrong.

I love when you guys come on here and act all legitimate. It's cute.

Christian , then why is your company continuing to call me for a bill that I paid in full in May of 2012. I insisted on a paid in full letter which I received. I've told your agents of my paid in full letter, I offered to fax it to your company. I even contacted my bank and now have copies of all payments made to the company you are trying to collect money for it clearly shows all payments made. Everyone says they will pass the information on and document my account. I continue to receive threats of criminal prosecution and harassing calls from your company for a bill that has been paid. Your agent's continue to lie to get money that has been paid.

If the company has all of this information then surely you have an address to send out valid documentation for your claim. If you have a license then you have letterhead. Now stop trying to scam people and play folks as stupid. You have to be something short of stupid to think that you can DEMAND anything from anyone without PROOF. So if you collect for all these people you claim to be clients provide the documentation your client should have. Or simply use the information you have to report it to any of the three major credit reporting companies at your disposal.

If it was legitimate you would send something in the mail in writing upon request.

    Scammed.
This group called probably 2 years ago.  I spoke to the NYAg. They said the address given is fake. They have tried to serve the company, and seize assets, but cannot find them, physically.  She told me to call and report ANY phone calls from this company, as they are building a bigger and bigger case against them for many violations.

I  got a message from someone named Precious Ingleton.   She wanted to verify my SS# .  The message told me I needed to tell them if I have an attorney.  The # was 913. 225.7332.  Which is the Area Code for my area.  But the call back # was an 1-800 #.  At the end she said "Good Luck"  not sure if that was supposed to be a threat or what? They said they were from N A M

They have to prove, in writing (not through a phone call, email or text), that you owe them.

They called me about my X-husband. I told them we were divorced and to remove my phone number from their records related to him. She said she would. I hope she does.

When I lived in Austin. I sued a collector for harrassment. I took down his name and each and Everytime he called. What they are doing to you is illegal and you can do something about it. The collection agency had to pay me $1000 for the harrassment. Hope this helps. If you don't have court cost you can request an inability to pay form and that will help cover your small claims.

Suspicious of anyone who shows up as a local number (Iowa) but wants me to call an 800 number for a company in New York.
Plus when I tried to call back just to see what their game was, it went to a "Supervisor Voicemail"
Maybe I'm out of the loop, but I've never heard such a thing.
