I'm not sure now how this came about or how I let myself get caught in it, but somehow I was connected (through the internet) to a person speaking barely understandable English, with lots of noise in the background. He kept telling me I needed some kind of software and I kept telling him I was not interested. I think I tried leaving the site, but couldn't. Then someone else came on. He was speaking good English and had a calming voice, and I was so glad to have someone I could communicate with I let myself be led into trouble. He said he needed access to my computer to "fix it." Soon after, when I discovered my folly, I blocked access to the site and kept checking to make sure they were not getting back in. If these people are so smart, why can't they make a living working honestly?

On 18 /2/17 I was misold a service I thought I was buying a security package from them like McAfee -online instead they sold me a service .  The solution was a number of "operator interventions" while still on the phone I decided to terminate the service after several techie tried to persuade me not to terminate the service that I already paid 357.45 gb pounds for and a manager assured   me I would be contacted 24 hrs later where the process  to get a refund would start and that 10 days later at the least I would get the refund. a week later 25/2/17 I have not receive any comms to say they are processing the refund infact they send pointless emails asking the same question what I was not satisfied and then they give me phone numbers that do not work .see extract of my emails sent Request ID :##518366##] : Re: Upclick Purchase Confirmation GLEN Fernandez
Your number 18007886855 does not work I tried the UK office they gave the same number

Please not I need a refund on order number UEE6QQ3T for 347.45 made on 18th Feb 2017.

I requested the same time I was making the order on phone as I released I had been missold a solution I wanted a security product like McAfee  what there gave  was "operator intervention" See my response in RED to your questions from support team

What is the principal reason for your cancellation request?I was given a different solution than I wanted- the initial support  told me I could purchase a product like McAfee ,called Microsoft Security from a Microsoft Store ,when I asked can I get it online I was yes .. and handed to 2 other support /Managers after I found out that the solution was a number of operator interventions and that there was no package.

Was there an error with your billing?N0

Were you able to install and activate the program? No as there was no security program involved as I was let to believe.#

I originally called Techie Support as I was having trouble getting my computer to connect with my printer.  I ended up on the phone for two hours and $500 less due to the constant talking they did.  I too was told I was  going to be talking to a Supervisor.  Then he wanted  to charged me more money and I finally told him I was hanging up and   I was not going to spend one more dime.  I am handicapped the phone call took 2 hours of me listening to their scare tactics and taking control of my computer.  Normally I would have never allowed this but it was 2:00 am and I was very tired.  I'm very frustrated.  I called a little more than  48 hours later and told them I wanted my money back.  The  techie support guy ( obviously from India) told me they wanted to go through everything to see that what they did was working, bla bla bla.  I told him I had no intention of spending ten minutes with them.  Just want my money back.  It was like pulling teeth to get the $100.00 refund.
I feel so frustrated.  I was taken advantage and robbed.  These guys are fast talkers and will say anything to scare you into thinking your computer is really screwed up but they are going to save you!  Total scam.

This scam happened to me - I clicked on a pop up claiming my computer was at risk and phoned these people - I spent over 2 hours on the phone and paid over £800 with my card believing my computer was at risk - they took over my computer leaving Malware and Mcafee & other supposed virus protection icons on my desktop. I spoke to several people in all during the two hours.  Only once I had finished the call did I begin to realise what had happened. I immediately stopped the card I used to pay and alerted my bank who blocked my online bank account. Apple then helped me back up all my info on iCloud and helped me wipe my computer entirely clean. I am on chemotherapy and obviously more vulnerable that I would otherwise be. It left me feeling horribly invaded & distressed.  My bank though did offer to refund the money. In addition they also managed to prevent some of the payments from going through my account at all once Id spoken to the fraud team.

Yes they CAN and already have!  Go immediately to your banks, change all bank account numbers, passwords, Download important information on your computer to a thumbdrive and then wipe clean all your data.  Change your phone number connected to the computer... but EVEN after you change your passwords on computer... they are STILL CONNECTED to your computer.  They are watching everything your are doinging right now!  No kidding!  If possible get another computer to use.  All that is on your computer they will WIPE OUT, Steal, and use it for months!

So, Not only that they will charge you those fees, like I stated they will get ALL your computer information, banking, etc.  They will buy GIFT CARDS and later on, after you think its is over and done with, they will cash those cards for thousands of dollars.
I fought with this bunch of crooks for over a year.

As of today 9-9-2020 They are STILL trying to get into my computer, by calling me telling me that I owe $599.99 for a renewal plan for protection on my computer.  They are LIERS, THEIVES, AND have NO MORALS what so ever.   THEY scare me because they are so good at what they do and are smooth talkers.

BE aware!  They are dangerous.  The banks and the FBI are having many problems with their scamming operations.  I have contacted the FBI 2 times now about these people IN INDIA... and GERMANY... Not in USA.

I believe they popped up ransomware on my computer, then pretended to be Apple Support at first before the logo changed.  For $300, they did remove the ransomeware, gave me ad blocker, and ran Malwarebites.  Constant upselling, with insistence that you speak to yet another person with a phony title. I hung up after the technician got done, but a "quality control" guy has been phoning me for two days. Clearly Indian. I'm considering challenging the charges.

I had a terrible experience with these people today.  I was bullied and co-erced into paying £380.94.  I will be taking this further.  Disputing the cost and hopefully my card company can get my money back.  I am fearful my laptop has been compromised.  Do not work with these people.

This happened to me 4 days ago. I don’t know how I fell on this scam. I paid $295.95 for what the technician said is a lifetime protection for my computer. I felt so dumb, and it’s my worst nightmare. I had to close my bank account used to pay them. I’m scared they’re gonna charge me more.

I too got sucked in to the same situation as these other writers. I started out by requesting help from Microsoft, but got transferred to others who I later realized were from different companies--primarily this Premium Technie Support. Similar vague and conflicting promises. While they had access to my computer, I feared declining their offers. The e-mailed invoice charged me much more than I had been quoted. I am going to try to cancel the charge and related service. But I fear that my computer is compromised.
