I'm not sure now how this came about or how I let myself get caught in it, but somehow I was connected (through the internet) to a person speaking barely understandable English, with lots of noise in the background. He kept telling me I needed some kind of software and I kept telling him I was not interested. I think I tried leaving the site, but couldn't. Then someone else came on. He was speaking good English and had a calming voice, and I was so glad to have someone I could communicate with I let myself be led into trouble. He said he needed access to my computer to "fix it." Soon after, when I discovered my folly, I blocked access to the site and kept checking to make sure they were not getting back in. If these people are so smart, why can't they make a living working honestly?

I was scammed yesterday.  Had to cancel the credit card due to fraud. I bought a new laptop after I felt the laptop I was using during my PT Support phone conversation was compromised.  What's it going to take to put them out off business?

I've read all the complaints and have experienced all of it this last Sat. 2.21.18. They emptyed our checking account and after closing our credit cards, had the @#%% to call us up in the afternoon to herass my wife about their money. I filed a report on them Frederal Trade Commition and am going to see about reporting them to the FBI.

James B.  Did you authorize payment via your checking account or did they access it some other way?  I was sucked into this scam via an Advanced Mac Cleaner dropdown.  Have cancelled cc I used, and shut down internet access to most of my accounts.  Wondering what other precautions I need to take.  Oh yeah,  after taking control of my computer, it crashed and they could not get it to reload.  After this I got in contact with Apple, ended up taking it into them.  They had to wipe all my data to get it to reboot.
Many hassles due to one stupid impulse click!   And I' m very concerned that my identity, financial info has been compromised.

Hmmm.... they do upsell for sure however they did fix my computer and they are always avalible 24/7.

They have done exactly as they stated they would. I feel everyone is saying they are scam but they are preforming a service for there fees. If you don’t want there help them don’t pay them and obtain there services.

They fixed the volume on my computer (it wouldn't work) and cleaned it up a few times but it was $700 dollars, with the last clean up, they tried to sell me more stuff which i refused and hung up, still pay $5 a month so they can continue to clean computer, they also installed two well known virus protectors on my computer which are legit. 1-877-958-7560 is their number. If I got scammed I feel awful. Probably cheaper to take it to best buy for getting volume fixed, etc.

Hi Luke, are you sure your computer needed fixing in the first place?  If so, good to hear that you got satisfaction for your investment.  In the case of those of us complaining, it is a question of the legitimacy of what they are doing to get us to pay those fees.  And in my case they crashed my computer and could not bring it back up.  I took it into Apple and they could not bring it back up either, had to leave it overnight for a senior tech to work on.  Apple told me it might be necessary to scrub all my personal data.  This is what happened.  All I did initially was click on Advanced Mac Cleaner....and $600+ later that was my end result. PLUS given the access they had to my personal info and their questionable practices who knows what the further ramifications may be?
Not saying they are incapable of providing a legitimate service.

Had similar experience as others.  Was having printer/computer hookup issues and I called them for help.  Two hours and minus $499.00 later, it still didn't work.  FELT LIKE A JERK AS I HAD BEEN SCAMMED.  No one spoke clear English and I kept asking for a supervisor.  Since they have my credit card number, I called my cc company and had them put a STOP on any/all statements from Nexway/Premium Techie Support.  That was in March.  Yesterday (4-11-2018) I received an email that they were sending another "installment" at the cost of $4.99 and this would be on a monthly basis.  I sent a return email that I had not asked for nor did I want to be harassed any longer.  The reply I got back thanked me for upgrading my subscription!!!  I want to be rid of this issue IMMEDIATELY.

Scammers definitely. Same deal - pop up on screen, called number & got done for about $1000. Feel like a complete idiot because I fell for it. That was 3 months ago. Haven’t had any more transactions taken from my credit card, however have been called twice this week on my private home number (which I provided to them) & asked for me by name & also stated the month they “helped” me. First call got it right but second call got the month wrong. After giving them a few answers that obviously weren’t the ones they were after, they hung up on me. I called the 1800 number & got the complete run around. All they wanted from me was my name or email address so they could look it up. They could not provide me with a non generic email address. They’re good liars - don’t get drawn in. Phone calls started after I got a VPN - don’t know if that means they can’t get in anymore or if just a coincidence. Either way I will be taking it further & cleaning off my computer. Also if you use a Mac & have High Sierra running, make sure you’ve put a password on your “root” username (it’s like an Administrator Account).  There is a major security loop hole with that update whereby if they do gain access to your computer they can then have access to your system preferences.

Make sure you take care of others that aren't computer savvy by spreading the word. I did this for my father who has been sick and not thinking clearly. Most decent credit cards will refund your money and report them for fraud.

Premium Techie Support is an outright fraud.  They someone got me because I clicked a piece below a NYT article on something frivolous about some nutrition thing.  After one hour on hte phone---boy they train their people in fraud and deception to keep you on the line until you give them access to your screen.   Luckily I'm not that stupid .   They are in Singapore.   Total fraud.   I had to go to my Apple dealer to get rid of it      It popped up each time and no matter I could not delete it.
Don't be fooled.... And never click ANYTHING unless its a legit source you know.
