These folks have been calling my home and cell for well over 2 years claiming they need a statement or one will be provided for me !  Well then DO IT !  Never heard of Alpine Direct who claims to have deposited money into an account of mine that was closed for a year before their alleged deposit.  If these folks were legit you'd think they would have taken "action" by now.  Can't even get a legitimate address for them.  New Hampshire State filed and won a Cease and Desist case against them. Plus the alleged lender is not even licensed in my state.  DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY

Wow I was contacted as well today by these ppl saying I took out a loan with Alpine Direct online & I owe over $2000. They scared me bc they have my ss# bit couldn't verify any dates & then hung up on me.  I know I've never taken out a loan with them but like I said they have my info. ALSO most debt collectors have to state this is an attempt to collect a debt..... they did not and answer the phone saying legal dept.  So idk & I am gonna file a police report.

I did the same, called and told them I would harass them as they did me.... After asking many questions. What bothers me is they have the last four digits of my social... But they are a scam for sure!

I too just received a call from this place.  Call from 901-296-9229.  They tried to say I took out a payday loan on Jan. 13 and they had a few bits of information on me but only partial bits.  They tried to say I had two lawsuits against me for defraud and bad check on a payday loan.  I've never done a payday loan so that was warning #1, then they wanted to sell over the phone which nobody should ever do.  You gotta get that stuff in writing.  I told them file a lawsuit and I'll see them in court.  It's a scam people.

Just got a call from them. They said they were with Stark legal department and I owe from a loan in December 2013. The loan was through Alpine Direct Service and the number they called from is 866-690-6793. I have never taken out a online loan and it was for  $450. They knew my SS# and my bank account #. I told her I would gladly see them in court and she said I would have to pay them  $2700. I am filling a complaint with the BBB, police and my credit union.

They're showing lots of complaints of: replies to Chuck Hough
      1)  Threatening a "lawsuit" over a fake "payday loan"
      2)  Having bank account and SSN information
      3)  Victims aren't even alleging a recent id theft.
That says they're systematically obtaining this information to fake their allegations, probably from pulling credit reports or from skip-tracing databanks like Accurint.  They've managed to set themselves up as enough of a "collection agency" to get accounts with them, even though they're using the information for shakedowns.
File a complaint with FTC, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

They called my husband's phone 6 times in 2 days leaving a message looking for me under my maiden name. I called them back this evening to find out who they were and the lady told me that I was being charged with fraud and abusive of loan services for taking out a loan in August 2010. She told me I would have to pay this loan of $540.00 today or when I went to court I would be charged with criminal offenses and have to pay $2540.00. I asked her what state and day they loan was taken out and she told me that her client did not authorize her to divulge that information but when I was brought to court I would get all of the required paperwork to prove that I accepted the loan and that I was solely responsible to pay it all back. The best part is I was in Afghanistan in August of 2010 so I KNOW for a FACT that I never applied for a loan.

I've also been getting calls from these people. Said they are JCC/Alpine Direct Services and that I had taken out an online pay day loan. They gave an old address where I was in 2008!!  Said I was under 2 allegations...breach of contract and short term loan. I've never taken out any type of loan. Scary yes...because she had the last 4 numbers of my social. And also they have been calling my 2 sisters and harassing them!  How can people be privy to such private info?? I told the lady to stop all the phone calls to me and my family and to sue me all they wanted. She then said in a very snotty manner " good luck". Pathetic scammers!!

These people are apparently using some kind of software program that shows their calls originate from somewhere in your state, if not the exact city you live in.   it is a SCAM,   They are relentless, however, and somehow can find your relatives phone numbers and will tell them they are looking for you regarding a legal issue.  Some of them even threaten to call your employer, show up at your home, and intimate "they know where you live" in a very threatening manor.

I received a call from.Claudia. today it brought me to tears because I don't want to be "subpoenad"  she saod i'd have to pay by end of day or face court fees of 1500.00 I'm a single mom I can't afford this so I started the process of giving her my card info to pay what she claims i owed but I have never taken a loan from them and they state it was around 2013 and that is not true I save all of my bank statements and i just went over them and sure enough nothing. Just like everyone here they couldn't tell me anything till it went to court. I have to say they are very convincing and know how to put you in fear. I contacted a lawyer and they said its a scam I cancelled my card immediately after speaking to my lawyer. Now i plan on contacting my local police as I'm sure this is not the last i will hear from them. I still dont know how they got my ss(last 4) my previous address is all they had and my previous job. And they said thet got my phone from a Federal gov website. I didn't know they had that info either..  please heed warning its a scam and there good at there threats.

The same company is now called Recovery Service told me I owed $420, they want to make sure they have the right information so then can send me the papers for court they tried to scare with the court and court cost. I want to go to court because I researched this company and got all the information to know that they are a scam. I ask for the name, number, and a person to talk at this company and they told just to wait for the papers in the mail. Scammers!!!

I just got a call from PACF, they said I owed a Pay Day Loan from Alpine Direct Services, in 2011. The phone number was 888-423-5149. I never had a pay day loan or heard of these people. They wanted $1200. or I could settle today for $600. They wanted a credit card number. When I said no and I never heard of them, They got nasty and threatend me with court. They wouldn't give me any information at all. This really scared me. I'm not sure what to do. I told them never to call me again and I would file a complaint with FPB. This is a scam.

I just received a call from TACS - they are trying to collect a debt of $650 but they will take a payoff of $400. they tell me I did this is March of 2012 - they had the last 4 of my social and an address similar to an address is had in Post Falls. the problem is I didn't live in Post Falls in 2012 and I didn't work at where they said I did. this is so very crazy. I started receiving calls from a collection agency several months ago with the same info and I stated then I did not take any loans out in '12. I'm not sure what I will do when/if they call back but I do know it won't be pretty.  lol

They have just called me stating I had to pay off a payday loan of $500 or be summoned into court. I asked for the specifics of the loan and they were unable to provide. I asked for the contact info of someone who could, but they were unable to provide. I then said I did not have enough information to dispute or respond to the debt. Craziness!!!!
