Turned Over To a Collection Agency for 46.00

I am DirecTV customer. My account became past due for the amount of 46.51. That's only one month's service. They suspended my service. Then a few days later I receive a letter from a Collection Agency 'Collectech Systems' trying to collect for the amount of 46.51. Then yesterday, I receive a call from what is identified on my caller ID as DirecTV. Well it's not DTV, it's this pinhead from Collectech Systems. I called DTV and spoke to them and asked them why they placed this with a 3rd party collection agency for 46.51. Man, I could have been in the hospital or something. Anyway, they said that DTVs company policy is when an account has a pastdue balance of $15.00 or more then they turn it over to an outside collection agency and it gets reported to the credit bureaus as placed for collections. I told them to come and get their equipment of my property! Pretty expensive price to pay: Losing a customer for 46 bucks. No wonder why so many of my neighbors have "DISH Network" (who I already have a install date with)and not "DirecTV". So beware people before you decide to get hooked into a 3 year commitment with these snakes.

    My last two payments did not post to my direct TV account. My service was cancelled and I have been fighting with them for over 30-days now. I have submitted the records of the electronic funds transfers from my bank 8 times now. I have spoke to countless people all of which promise to help but none that actually can or do. I have never been treated to poorly by a service provider after having been a loyal customer for years with zero late payments. I get the run around every time I call. I have begged for them to speak with my bank on a three -way call  but I can never make it to someone authorized to do this. I will never ever do business with these people again! They do not care about there customers and there customer service is an absolute joke! They are literally robbing people!!

    Got a call from a collection agency yesterday for Direct TV. I owe $205 from October 2019. I don't care if they do put it on my credit report. I fought with DTV 7 months over the free upgrade which raised my bill $40 a month and they charged me for an extra tv that hadn't been hooked up since October 2013. So, I only sent them the original amount of $98 for every month until I switched to Dish October 4th, 2019. I called to cancel DTV on the 4th and the dude on the line told me he couldn't shut me off until the 25th. [***], just hit a button! We had been with DirecTV since November of 1998 and we still mailed payments. My 2 year contract with Dish runs out this October but they have AWD's from my bank. I'll just close the bank account. There won't be any money in that account by then. I still have Directv"s equipment boxed up in the living room from October 2019, no one came to pick it up. I don't owe them anything. I also blocked the 909 number to the collection agency.
