"Derrick" claimed the company "Florida Resort Promotions." Found nothing about this company. Another ripoff company most likely working out of a  call center.  I can not wait until these felons are put in jail.

A legitimate company would be using the Do Not Call List.

Hope managers of his company find some jail time.

I received a pre-recorded message, but no business name identifiers were given, just a "free cruise", so I elected to talk to a rep so I could file a complaint with information identifying the offenders. The person was offering a free cruise on Regal Express if I became a client. He then began asking for credit card information. I asked for name of company and was told: "Florida Resort Promotions" but he would not give me a call back number (caller ID blocked) nor would he provide an address. The rep gave his name as Christopher Martin, but when I asked to speak to his supervisor, he hung up on me. I filed a complaint at DoNotCall.gov. The date of the call was 11/12/2008 at 10 am in Ann Arbor Michigan.

Rec'd call from this company.  We are on a do not call list.  Caller refused to give me address or phone number.  Just told me to go ahead and file a complaint and hung up on me.

The call I received showed a bogus caller id number +50622774192 (several earlier calls had the same +506 prefix). The caller claimed to represent Florida Resort Promotions and offered free travel and cruises but only if I had a credit card number to give. The call back number she provided (813-983-7411)is for Dream Vacations out of Tampa Florida, a known SPAMmer.

Just got a call from these scam artists.  Like the person above could not find anything about them on line.  Certainly not using the Do-Not-Call register when I asked for a name I got it but when I asked for a phone number she cut me off....Going to call the Florida Attorney General's office

"Chaz" from Florida Resort Promotions called this afternnon @5pm offering a free vacation to Orlando and a 3 day cruise. He first wanted to be sure I had a credit card & willing to make a purchase. When I explained my hesitancy regarding bogus phone offers, he quickly assured me several things. 1)His company was approved by the BBB. 2)I could verify the resort and cruise company and website. 3)My credit card would file charges and "come after" a non-legit company and the money wouldn't be charged to me. Maybe I'm too leary, but red flags appeared, and I told him I had more leaves to rake. I could call him back in an hour, but "Chaz" said they were only allowed to give out the phone number to paid customers. I said that was an aweful business tactic, expecially if someone is calling to potentially pay. He said he'd try to call back on Monday. REALLY!?!

Just got a call from "Clarice" saying the exact same thing as Cheryl.  She asked if I could make a decision regarding my trip tonight and I said "Nope!" and she immediately hung up on me.

same scam here - "florida resort promotions". When I asked why they were dialing numbers on the do not call list they said she would remove me from their list... I'll file a complaint with the do not call registry.

Same thing here - the live rep said it was  "Florida Resort Promotions". I filed a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General's office, but they said they couldn't tie it to a specific business. I don't know how hard they really try...

After I told the telemarketer that I was on the national no-call list and that I would report them to Attorney General Roy Cooper (North Carolina), she said, "They can't do anything."  Why not?  I'll file a complaint anyway.

They're now going by the name "Dream Vacations" but it's the same phone number in Tampa, 813.983.7411.  Owner is Greg Eriksen, 813.983.7382.  AKA Global Marketing Solutions.  My call came from 062.236.9447--a spoof number telemarketers use to block the real number.  They do not return phone calls and have bad news all over the 'net.

I received a call last night from "Andrea", offering a 3 night cruise, etc, etc.  I asked her name again, and who she was with.  I then informed her that I was on the Do Not Call list, and they were being reported to my State Attorney General's office, and the State Consumer council.  She said that she would remove my name from their list.

I received a call today offering an 8 day vacation for $300.  It included gas vouchers and airline vouchers.  I have always heard that if it is too good to be true, it probably isn't true.  Sounded waaayy too good to be true. She led me to this website. I thanked the lady for the call but passed.

I received a pre-recorded message from "Florida Resort Promotions" today, offering a free cruise.  I talked to rep, and informed her I was on the do not call list.  She said "as you know, those things are not perfect".  When I asked for the company's phone number, she said "Are you crazy?  I'm not going to give you the number so you can report us?" and hung up.  Obviously, they are not legit.  The number on my caller id was 506-224-1298, but it wasn't a valid number.

They have been calling with the recording, I wanted to talk to a rep so that I could get info to file a complaint. The person on the other end would not give me any information, just kept asking me for my information. I repeatedly asked for their address and phone number, the girl said she was new!  I kept asking and she hung up. Total scam. A real company would have been able to give this info to me. Of course when I call SEARS they route my call overseas and those people arent allowed to tell me where they are, so I guess SEARS is no longer a real company!!

Stayed on the line for a live person. She asked for my info, and I said first I needed to know the name and address of her company. She said it was Florida Resort Promotions and she was calling from Florida. I asked for her name, "Lacey White." She said she didn't know the address because it was her first day. I said that she had called a company on the Federal Do Not Call List. She said that it was an automated system. I said that it didn't matter; it's still a crime. She said "Have a nice day" and hung up. The phone number is apparently blocked; I couldn't get it by *69.

Stayed on the line for a live person. She asked for my info, and I said first I needed to know the name and address of her company. She said it was Florida Resort Promotions and she was calling from Florida. I asked for her name, "Kimberly." She said she didn't know the address because it was her second day. Apparently she has twice as much experience as Lacey (above). I asked if I could speak to someone who knew the phone and address and she hung up. The phone number is apparently blocked; I filed a complaint at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.

"tony" called me.  he said that i "won" a free 3-day cruise but in order to take the cruise, i had to stay at their orlando resort here:

    http://vacationvillageresort.com/

when i asked for him phone number, he gave me my number.  when i told him that that was my number, he said that they don't give out their number and hung up.  no legitimate place would not give out a phone number.
