"Derrick" claimed the company "Florida Resort Promotions." Found nothing about this company. Another ripoff company most likely working out of a  call center.  I can not wait until these felons are put in jail.

A legitimate company would be using the Do Not Call List.

Hope managers of his company find some jail time.

Same old, same old.  Stayed on the line for a live person who, in answer to my question, told me that the company name is Florida Resort Promotions.  I asked for a telephone number and she said that she didn't know it because it was her first day with the company.  Uh huh.  When I told her that my number is on the do not call list, she asked for the number and told me that she would add it to their internal do-not-call list.  Uh huh.  Yep.  Sure.  I filed a complaint with the FCC, pointing them to this website as well.

"tony" called me.  he said that i "won" a free 3-day cruise. When I asked for him phone number, he gave me my number.  When i told him that that was my number, he said that they don't give out their number and hung up.

I received a telephone calle this morning, 8 January, from a person named Chris.  I was invited to take myself and three other people to the Vacaton Village Resort in Orlando.  In addition, I was inviteed to spend three days and two nights at Plaza Ocean Club in Daytona Beach.  and a Free three day cruise to Nassau on the Imperial Majesty Regal Empress. All this for 798 dikkars,    The cost for all this was $798 and I had to make my mind up on this same phone call.

I just got the exact same call as Irene (1/9/2009).  I Googled  "Florida Resort Promotions" while Mike went on and on and on.  Somehow we got disconnected before I could lay all the Google info. on him. Has anyone actually bought this $798 vacation and cruise?

A robot called (despite my being on no-call list).  I pushed "9" for a person. She identified herself as being from "Florida Resort Promotions." When I repeated the company name, she hung up.

It sounds like there's a lot of disinformation and confusion here.

I was just called and got the same offer as Irene (for $798) and did the same thing Windy did (googled their info while they went on and on).  I asked everything I could think of and it seems legit.  The first person I talked to said something about being "new" but then a guy named David who's apparently the supervisor picked up and was able to answer all my questions.  Here's what I found out:

When I asked why I was called, and whether they just randomly called everyone, they told me that it was because I had a Chase credit card (Visa/MC) or American Express or Discover.  Or someone had put my number down at a timeshare presentation (doubtful).  I do have a Chase Visa card, and I do get offers all the time from third party companies that got my information from Chase.  So that would explain why people are getting calls even though they are on the do not call list.  And because of the way Chase sets up the agreement, they are only allowed to call you once (so they can't keep calling and bothering you).

After I hesitated to give my credit card number, David offered me the package for only $598.  I mentioned I had just gotten back from a vacation in Vegas so I was kinda short on money and he offered me another 3-night stay in Vegas for free at their Vegas resort, the Grandview, which I told him I'd never heard of.  He sounded surprised and said it was right in the middle of the strip!  It's actually way down at the far end of the strip an nobody's heard of it.

He also tried to sell me on the "advantage" that they would book a rental car for me and I wouldn't have to pay for the miles and could return it in different city (that's standard when you rent Enterprise, and there's no discount).  He said that alcohol was included on the cruise (it's not), that the $598 includes all taxes and fees (it doesn't), and that their Orlando resort is located at the main gates of DisneyWorld, closer than the actual Disney resorts (it's a short drive away, not closer than the actual resorts).

After giving him my credit card information, I was transferred to a "third-party verification company" which according to Ripoff Reports was just a way they could get me on tape saying I agree so that I couldn't refute the charge to my credit card.  Then I asked the guy ("Richard") the same questions and found out that there would actually be some "port" charges of $50-100 per person for the cruise, and some hotel fees of $5-7 per night.  Additionally, no alcohol would be included on the cruise or any of the locations.

So long story short, I ended up purchasing the package.  Here's a rundown of what I have to pay/do:

$598 plus port fees ($50-100 per person) for the cruise plus hotel fees $5-7 per night.  Also I have to sit through a 90-minute timeshare presentation in Orlando.

    And here's what I get:
3 nights at Vacation Village at Parkway in Orlando
2 nights at Plaza Ocean Club in Daytona
2 night cruise to Nassau, Bahamas, on the Imperial Majesty Regal Empress
3 nights at Grandview in Las Vegas.

all for 4-people (the hotels include one suite, and the cruise is two rooms) anytime (no blackout dates) in the next 3 years (30-day notice).

I made sure to repeat all of this multiple times during the "verification" call.  Even though David was a little deceptive in some of his claims, I think $598 for 4 people in 4 different locations is a decent price to pay for everything, even though it doesn't include transportation.  They also gave me the extension from 18 months to 36 months so I can do any of this within the next three years.  I don't think this is an inherently terrible company, but I also don't think it's for everyone.

i just got the same exact call, but since i am in ca i asked about flight help and they will give us a voucher for buy one get one. for the 798 price. he did say there are port taxes (which you have to pay with any legit cruise company). i told him i don't make money decisions without talking to hubby and he said he will call me tomorrow am. we have friends that belong to time shares all over, and we as a family of 4 on one income would love to do something together at such a good rate. have you gotten your package yet? how long did they say it would take to get it? thank you for your help!

Same as above, but told them that I would be looking them up on line first.  This is the best I could come up with and when they return their call Monday or Tuesday I'll tell them so.  Probably won't call, but I too am on the Federal Do Not Call List which I will remind them of. Sorry I gave them my phone number, never know what people can find out about you with even that little bit of information.

I purchased this same deal.  Received some info in the mail.  It all looks legit.  Only now that I'm trying to book it, no one will answer the phone and when you leave messages they never return your calls.  I have been calling everyday for the last 2 weeks and still can't get a call back.  I'm starting to believe this was a SCAM!

I got one to and he said he would settle out of court, not a good liar.
But he had given me an 800 number to reach him on, I called it it was a sex line.  I get 1-2 calls a week and I am on the national do not call list as well.  The best thing I can think of is to play a long and then waste their time

I purchased a package from them 2 months ago. I went on the trip and it was amazing. I had an amazing time with my family. It would have normally cost me around $4,000 to get the same vacation I got for roughly $700. I was hesitant initially when I read these comments about this company. But to be honest, this was the best trip me and my family have ever had.

I would recommend it to anyone thinking of taking a vacation. And the service I received was top notch.

I am on the DNC list. However, I also have a credit card with Chase. And I know for a fact that is why I was called because I called my credit card company and they verified it. I purchased the vacation at $798 3 months ago. We booked our trip last month and just got back from it. Me and my family had a tremendous time. 4 travelers, $798 cost and we stayed at beautiful resorts that I normally woudln't be able to afford. My children were able to go to Disney world as part of the trip that was included in this price.

I would recommend this to anyone thinking of going on a vacation.

I went on this trip 4 months ago. I was just called again from this company and told them that I would love to go again. I wasn't aware I could take the same trip 2 times in one year. I saw all of these posts online and was very surprised. It doesn't seem like any of these posts were done by people that actually went on the vacation.

Me any my husband had the best time on this trip. We only paid $750. Knowing what I know now, I would have paid $2,000 for what we received. This was my first trip to Florida. Weather was perfect and the resorts were amazing.

I responded to a message and was transferred over to a live rep. I had remembered my friend telling me about going on this trip with this company and loving the vacation. She went with her mom and her 4 kids.

She had nothing but great things to say about the service, the resorts, and the entire experience. Based on her previous comments I went ahead and purchased a 8 day trip for only $798. I just purchased this today once i received the call. I was able to book my trip immediately after. All I am responsible for paying is my port fees and my room taxes/incidentals. This is a great deal and I wouldn't have done it if my girlfriend didn't have such good things to say about her experience.
