He has been running this scam for a while. I asked for documentation regarding the "outstanding debt" and he just kept talking over me and saying do I want to resolve it today or go to court. Im going to contact the police. I told him do not contact me anymore and I will take my chances in court.

i just recieved a call and unpleasant voicemail today from the same Mr Wilson. claiming to be an officer for us investigation bureau..strong accent. He says i can settle out of court or i will get sued ??? i asked for more detailed info on what he claimed i owe and he kept beatjn around the bush. What a hoax!! im guessing this scammer got ahold of info somehow when i got a paydown loan few months back. His voicemail says if i dont disruption at my job or problems at my door i better call asap. Who is this creep!?

the callers are violatiing the telephone Consumer protection act of 1991 and the fair debt collection protection act. They may also be violating your states collection laws. E-mail me at harmonlaw@optonline.net or call me at 1-877-283-5962. Based on their violations, they now owe you more money then you owe them.

I am getting calls from the number above they claim to be investigations and are threatening me and saying that I am under investigation I did have a payday loan a few years ago thought it was paid off I'm sure this is related to that as I am reading different websites that these people are connected with an payday loans, I have asked them several times to send me information they say they cannot they say I must pay by phone so I usually just hang up on them as they are very very rude

They are doing more than that.

They are actually criminals trying to extort consumers to pay non-existent loans, hiding their location and identities through aliases, changing phone numbers, spoofed caller id, no disclosure of actual addresses, etc.

There are no "debts".  They are using access to old payday loan data and credit report data to try to fake the appearance of "debts".

There are several similar but possibly related scams in operation, all reported to use vicious threats to extort, and often reported to have thick Indian or middle eastern accents.

I have seen no complaints indicating they have actually put anything on credit reports.

Note that no clear complaint trail shows up under that number.  That is an indicator of phony "debt collectors" changing numbers, rather than an on-going collection agency.

    Hello,

I too am getting the same calls and he is threatening that the police will come to my home and my job.  I closed my bank account over a year ago and had not taken any payday loans out.  I applied for some but never got them so now I guess they have my address.  I have moved from the address that they quoted to me but am still at my same job.  What can I do about this?  Officer  Robert Richmond sounds foreign and he has a cocky attitude as well.  I told him I was at work and could not talk at that time and he constantly calls me and is getting on my last nerve.  I have a recorded vm message from him that I will forward to your email address.  His phone number is 936-657-4224.

Complaints are starting to appear consistent with the above.
    https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-936-657-4224

Other complaints are consistent with a phony "debt collector", probably overseas, that got access to old payday loan application information.
"Debts" are phony.  They cannot carry out their threats.

They are scammers I called the FBI today and asked them.  The FBI said that they do not operate like that.  The guy that called me today and called my job and my cousin his name was this time Officer Roy Wilson of the US Investigation Bureau at 724-512-2120.  When last time he called he claimed his name was Kevin Spears.  I wish we could do something about this so they would stop calling myself and other people.  This person is very rude!!
