Never again

I started my reservation to Orlando with eTourandTravel.com. They said they need my credit card number to hold my reservation. I provided one. It was a natural thing to ask and many companies in travel industry (hotels, and car rental businesses) do this. They make an empty request to your credit card to make sure you have the credit allowance for that amount. In two days I noticed a charge from eTourandTravel.com for near $300. I was just holding my dates and was told I will not be charged until I actually pay for the trip. Yet, they took the money from my account without my authorization!

A few days later, after receiving the information package, my husband tried to cancel again. He was denied because my name was on the form. On July 27/07, I returned from camping and immediately phoned to cancel. I was told that the 15 grace period was over and that the trip was mine. I could sell or transfer the trip to a friend or family. This is a trip that not just anyone would go for since you are required to sit through one to two hour presentation on time share. We regret ever getting involved in any of this.
I receive phone calls all the time. We never signed up for anything. I asked them to take me off the list and do not call again but they still kept calling. I kept hanging up until they stopped calling.. These calls ended in 2009 finally. I think there should be some kind of control over this.
I told the rep that this was a scam because I was within the 15 day period. If this were legitimate, they would honor my cancellation. Furthermore, it is within 15 business days and the rep never said calendar days.
I will complain to the NJ State Consumer Affairs. I will spend time on this one since it is so blatantly fraudulent.
I( was also told that I can't appeal the decision of the person I just called. I will make every effort to contact those in charge as well.

I just filed a complaint myself. They promise you things on the phone and then they say it's not what's on paper. By the time you call the 15 days are usually up.
