I started my reservation to Orlando with eTourandTravel.com. They said they need my credit card number to hold my reservation. I provided one. It was a natural thing to ask and many companies in travel industry (hotels, and car rental businesses) do this. They make an empty request to your credit card to make sure you have the credit allowance for that amount. In two days I noticed a charge from eTourandTravel.com for near $300. I was just holding my dates and was told I will not be charged until I actually pay for the trip. Yet, they took the money from my account without my authorization!

I just got a phone call from my Dad telling me about some travel agency trying to get a hold of me about our Disney World trip we were planning. I thought it was odd they had tried contacting me through my Dad's number. He gave them my updated number and they called me. The lady had a lot of my information.. just happened to be old information like an address from 8 years ago and phone number from then as well. This is why I think it isn't legit. I never signed up for anything, I have always left forwarding addresses so for her to come out and give me all this seemed like a load of B.S. She directed me to the Website and at the same time I typed it in I copied the address into my google toolbar and this site came up. She was trying to tell me about their accommodations and as soon as I told her we always stay inside the resort and that we were members of Disney she said Thank you for you time and hung up.

OK Listen up people and listen good because im going to give you the full scoop on Etour and Travel. Im an X employee and i know how things work. 1st things 1st the are 100% Legit but the way they get some of your numbers isnt through the survey, see they are contracted with info commercials/QVC and when you buy something from them you are automatically qualified for what they are selling. 2nd if you want someone to cancel your package for you always put their name on the list. 3 After your credit card number is put in everything they say is recorded by the computer and sent to your credit card company so if the person who offered more lied then YOU HAVE PROOF(just call your card company to get it) 4. Some of the people who work there arent the best people and some actually are really nice its hard to tell. 5 REMEMBER THE 15DAYS TO CANCEL!!!!! people hate taking responsibility. 7 Schedule your rooms a month in advance for bst quality and last 8. You have every reason to be skeptical but they are a legit company that is contracted by Hilton, Disney/Universal, Best Western, & Enterprise. They have been in buisness 15 years and going they can be mean but they are legit. Hope i helped some.

this vacation their offering as a prize is a giant scam.  There are many catches to it that they dont tell you.  I have fraud protection on my card so they will be in for a suprise when they attempt to get their money.

About two years ago, we were taken in by this company too. They called just before 5 in the evening, which I think is a ploy for them. After getting off the phone and talking over what had just happened, we decided that we would call back at the number on our phone, to cancel out, but of course there was no answer. By the time we called our Credit Union the next day, to ask how to cancel, the chg. was already through. Today we got a call from them. They said we needed to pay $99 to re-instate our vacation (we have a CREDIT of $498 US)  We told them to return the money (as we have maybe 5 times or more already, but of course that won't happen)They are definitely a SCAM COMPANY.

I was contacted by Tour and Travel by telephone although my phone number is on the "no call list" that was made a law in 2008. A minute into the sales pitch I stopped the salesperson and asked, "Is your company connected in way to the sale of Time Shares?"  The person answered "NO" ( Which turned out to be a lie because when I received a letter from them, it says in bold print - "This is a program to sale time shares". At the end of the sales pitch, the salesperson asked for my credit card numbers. I asked why, and he answered so we can be sure you have the ability to care for the expenses you will be required to pay. Then I asked, when will you charge any expenses to my credit card? The answer was, " When you call our reservation number and have a Month and day when you will be coming." I asked the second time so I could be sure, " Will you charge my credit card for anything BEFORE I have a specific reservation?  The second time he assured me, "NO, I will not use your credit card until you have a reservation!" This was on February 13.  I received a letter from them on February 20 and it read, There is no balance on your account !  The next time I had any contact with Tour and Travel was on March 10 when I got my credit card bill.  The salesperson had lied again, but on February 13 and 19 he had charged by card for $398.00 for total of $796.00.  The same day I telephoned their office, and was told they could not do anything about the charges because it was past the 15 day time for refunds. I talked with the supervisor and he repeated the same thing. I wrote a two page letter reviewing all the lies I had been told by their salesperson, but they refused to refund the money that had been charged without my authorization.
I wrote to my credit card company and disputed the charge. They got the company to return half of the charges, but Tour and Travel kept the other $398 dollars they had charged. I listed a complaint with the government as they called a "no call" number which is against the law. I would never again deal with this company as they are not honest and unreasonable.

I just got off the phone with etour as they were calling me about their fabulous $119.00 flat rate Orlando and Daytonia package. I am Canadian and a little sun sounds good just about now. I listened to the young girls pitch and she was very sweet. I asked if it was Time Share and was told no, it was Vacation Ownership.(Ha, ha)So I had the basics of the pitch at this point but I just don't jump all over strange deals and give out my credit card number!!! When I said I wasn't willing to make a decision right now she asked me to hold the line and a guy came on the phone.

Well, this is where the conversation went south. He had this tone about him asking me if I had ever heard of Sheraton...and when I said I wanted to discuss it with someone first he practically screamed..."WHO, lets calls them then!" He told me I was never ever going to get a deal like this anywhere ever again and his voice was soooo angry. "what's the problem, don't you have a credit card?" Then I remembered, I got a similar call some months back and they were extremely rude. At this point told him I definitely decline and then he thanked me for "wasting 10 minutes of his reps time" and was even hotter under the collar than before...and like months back I cut the line and hung up on him because he was staring to go into a rant. Now I tell you...I don't ever find the need to hang up the phone on anyone, but these guys are ridiculous and the last time they swore at me and the whole bit so I wasn't waiting for it again.

Bottom line is people don't give away things for nothing...there is always a catch. And he certainly had motivation for being rude. He's paid by the number of people they can dupe into accepting  because their ultimate goal is to get you into a high pressure sales enviroment, give you some food and drinks and make you feel cheap and stupid. I can imagine the Vacation Ownership reps and how pushy, intimidating and condescending they might be. It would ruin your whole vacation. With people this unprofessional how do you trust your precious vacation time to them? Check out tripadvisor if you want the low down...it's given me travel answers many times.

I have taken this vacation in 2006 and just purchsed it again in 2009 and plan to go in June.  I think this is a great pakage and we enjoyed it so much and the price is unbelievable you can't beat it anywhere. The hotels were nice and we got everything we were promised for the price that we agreed on.  Etourandtravel is a great vacation and yes the presentation is required but all you do is show up and say you are not interested and tha is over in less than an hour.  I would reccommend this vacation for anyone that needs a vaction and wants to save money.  I take all my vacations now through Etourandtravel.

I got a call yesterday.  He directed me to a web site:
    http://www.etourandtravel.com/99promo/
I also googled them and found many sites talking scam.  I specifically asked him if the "Act Now Offer Expires" date was a program that changed for each day.  He laughed and said "No, tomorrow we have to sell this for $499.  You got this call because of a survey I filled out years ago so you wont remember".  I told him I was veiwing scam sites to check them out.  He went on about the License Number which meant they were not a scam.  That number meant nothing to me.  Well, they must take us for fools.  First, I NEVER fill out surveys.  Second, I just looked at the site this morning and guess what...now it has todays date.  Go figure.  They may sell a vacation, they may just steal your money.  I do know they are not truthful and I wouldn't waste my money just to see.  Anyone can create a site to say what they want.  Famous last words "Just cause it is written, doesn't mean it is true"!

I received a call from eTourandTravel and I was asked for my credit card #.  After I purchased the package the next day I received a phone call from my credit card company saying the agency tried to make 2 large purchases from Best Buy in New York and asked if I will approve it or not.  Someone from the agency tried to use my credit card to make personal purchases.  I will NEVER use this company again1

etour called at least twice a day for at least 4-5 days a week. said i had dealings with them before that was a lie, too. i booked a trip back 10 yrs ago in florida but it wasn't with etour and travel. the phone calls would not stop but every time they offered me the same package of 8 days in orlando or daytona with the prices beginning at $598 till the price dropped for $99 for a family of 5 plus rental car or flights up to $500. but if i wanted theme park tickets that was extra. after all the complaints, my husband canceled the $99 off of our card because they have proved to be totally unreliable and this made the news here in the chattanooga area not long ago about their shady pressure tactics and not living up to what you purchased. Beware!

I just got off the phone with etours rep. she told me i filled out a entry form like a month ago at the fair. the last fair i attended was 2 and half months ago so that made me think it was fishy.  she offered me the hotel and rental car for 8 day and 7 nights for 5 people for 398. I told her I wasnt interested, she gave me a website to look at the hotels so i could see it was legit but the address didnt exist, so she gave me another web address and i saw the rip off report right beneath it.  I immediately told her to pass me up and give the offer to someone else. the rep seemed upset.  thank goodness for all the people that complained and confimed this a scam.

    Scam Alert www.etourandtrvel.com

I just wanted to add that www.etourandtravel.com aka e tour & travel phone number is 1-866-639-7720 is most probably a scam.  A very nice lady called me and did a great job of selling me on the package they were offering...
However I asked for a phone number to call back so I could check with the better business bureau BBB and make sure they were a good company.  I was told that they did not have a phone number I could call back on.  I was then moved to a supervisor and he did give me the phone number 1-866-639-7720. But tried to bully me by saying that they only make one call and by the time I called the BBB and then called them back the price would be higher.  (what a lie).  I asked if they were a member of the BB and he gave me the old scammers lie about BBB just being a reporting agency and that they do not have memberships.  (another lie, my business is a member).  I asked about being a member of the local chamber of commerce and he said, I think we are but I do not have that info.  I told him that I was interested in the package but that I did not want scammed.  He got flustered and wanted to end the call.  Supervisor obviously knew that it was a scam by his reaction.  The poor girl that called me in the first place has probably been deceived and I really hope that she can get another job.  She would be great at a legitimate company.

P.S.  I would have bought the package as I do want to go to florida to see my brother.  But with a couple questions, a google scam search, and the attitude of the supervisor, it became very obvious that this is a scam.

This is a scam, I got the same call from eTourandTravel-same line "You got this call because of a survey I filled out years ago so you wont remember" and the same supervisor to talk to when I said I need to discuss with my spouse. When I said I needed to get off the phone he did everything in his power to try to stop me so I hung up. It is a Scam-just google them! Don't waste your hard earned money in this awful economy.
