I received a text from realtimewinner.com at 6:14 A.M.(yes, 6:14 in the early morning).
Telling me my entry last month has Won!! Enter Winning Code 5555 to claim your Free $1000 Best Buy Gift Card.
How do these people get your phone number? and how do they get away with this?

    Same text message from +19125774934 about an entry last month that had won $1000 at best buy. I tried texting STOP. Don't know if it worked. I also went to the first step website, read the terms and conditions, and tried to unsubscribe but I don't know if that will do anything either.

    just got same message. Seems like they're all from different area codes. Just saying watch out don't answer nothing you not sure about. You could lose more than you think.

    I got one from 1-850-708-4349 over an hour ago. I looked it up on google, and found out that it's a # out of Panama City. Best Buy wouldn't just give stuff away like that. How do people get away with this crap?

    same for me, on AT&T iphone: code 5555 for $1000 Best Buy gift card.  Not been on e-bay, Craigs List or any other like those. Bet AT&T makes money from this. Plan to deduct pain & suffering and BP-related costs from my next cell phone bill.

    I just received a text message saying that I wont a $1000 gift card from best buy, to go to this sight, realtimewinner.com and put in a code...well wouldnt you know it, the sight does not exist, I figured it wouldnt, but morbid curiousity made me check it out. How they got my number, I have no idea.

    My wife and I received the same message, but from two completely different phone numbers.  I forwarded the text and phone numbers to AT&T Spam account using their "Mark the Spot" iPhone app or just forward the text to 7726 (SPAM).

    I just got the same msg, i don't know how the got mY # but that is NOT cool. The # it came from is 4352419805 code 5555 SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING!!!!! Do not reply to the # at all

    WTF my phone is literally a week old, and my number is so new that I've yet to even memorize it let alone post it anywhere on the internet, but some how I'm being solicited with stupid [***] texts already ugh!

    I rec'd the text from 786 452-3667 telling me I won a $1000 gift card from BestBuy.  The instructions stated I need to go to http://realtimewinner.com and my code 5555 to claim the free card.
    definite scam.

    My husband made me fall for the scam. Then that same day our checking account was billed $11.99. GRR!!!
