this company has been calling me for months from 760-563-5384.  They just called my employer and left a voicemail message for me or my attorney to call them back immediately.  I called the number back and got a CHRIS ROY of indian decent.  HMMMMMM, okay there Chris Roy.  I told him that i needed the name and address of his company, the original debtor and verification of the debt.  He told me the name of his company, some debtor that i never heard of before and would not send me the verification of the debt.  Sounds fishy to me.  He then proceed to threaten me and tell me i can deal with in it court.  Not really scared since i am a legal assistant and know the law.  I do however want to know how to get these A*& holes from calling me and my employer.

They called me today and said I have 1 hour to contact them to arrange a time and place to meet, if not I should consider myself served.  They will be coming to either my home or my employment.

OK, FYU, THEY ARE NOW USING AMERICANS OR i SHOULD SAY NO ACCENT PEOPLE TO CALL.  THEY STATE THRY ARE STATE PROCESSOR AGENTS AND ARE TRYING TO RESOLVE A PAYDAY ISSUE BEFORE YOU ARE SERVED PAPERS TO GO TTO COURT.  THE CO. IS CALLED ACS AND THEY STATE THEY ARE A LAW FIRM.  I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SOMEONE CALLING YOU TO TELL YOU THEY ARE GOING TO SERVE YOU COURT PAPERS AND FURTHERMORE WHERE IS THE CORRESPONDENCE PRIOR TO THIS POINT.   THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM BEWARE OF APPLYING  FOR THINGS ON THE INTERNET BECUASE THEY ARE ABLE TO OBTAIN YOUR INFO IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PROPER SECURITY MEASURES SET.

TODAY I HAVE ERECEIVED 3 CALLS ALONE IN WHICH RHEY WERE ALL TOLD THE SAME THING.  I SAY LET'S GO TO COURT, SHOW ME WHERE I SIGNED FOR A LOAN!!!! THIS IS KINDA OF SCARY THART PEOPLE CAN ACCESS YOUR INFO, BUT THEY HAVE WRONG ONE THIS TIME, BECUASE I AM A LAWYER AND I WOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY WITH THEM IN COURT.

I received the email (posted below) from ACS INCORP (acs.incorporation@gmail.com). I cannot imagine that a collection's agency would use an @gmail.com email account, nor does it state anywhere in the email what ACS actually stands for. I have never received a phone call from who or whatever this company is. In the email they actually wrote "Grab your debit card and call us or e-mail us right now in order to make a payment and freeze down this case" listing their phone number "1-347.627.0230." The email states that if I do not make a payment "within the next 48 hours or else the case will be downloaded against" me. The bottom of the email states that it was sent from ACS legal department, I am currently studying to obtain my paralegal degree and work for a number of lawyers and have never once ever heard of a case "downloaded" against someone, nor would we ever instruct anyone to "grab their debit card...to freeze down" a case.

Extremely strange. That is all I have to say about it. I have never been a customer of any business with the name "ACS" nor have I ever heard of this company. It was no surprise that when you type ACS INCORP or ACS Legal department into Google, the very first results to populate are websites and people reporting harassment from this company.

This is the exact email I received today (the only change I have made is deleting my email address):

Subject: Reference - Account Number 60595-28; Subject - Lawsuit
    ACS INCORP <acs.incorporation@gmail.com>

    To: acs.incorporation@gmail.com
Bcc: **this is where they posted my email address**

This is in reference to your Account number 60595-28 with ACS in order to notify you that after making several calls to you on your phone number, we were not able to get hold of you. So the IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center) has decided to mark this case as a flat refusal and press charges against you.Your account with ACS is in Final Collections. According to our records, your outstanding balance is $986.45Do revert back if you want to get rid of these legal consequences and make a payment arrangement within the next 48 hours or else the case will be downloaded against you.The opportunity to take care of this voluntary is quickly coming to an end. We would hate for you to lose the option of resolving this before it goes to the next step which is a Lawsuit against you, but to do so you must take immediate action. As we have shared with you in previous letters, read your loan agreement; the next step is clearly defined. It could cost us both a great deal of time and money; you can avoid this by taking care of this now.It is quick and easy:

Grab your debit card and call us or e-mail us right now in order to make a payment and freeze down this case.

    Contact us on 1-347.627.0230

If you do not take immediate action:
We will be forced to download this case against you and once it is downloaded the creditor has entire rights to inform your employer regarding this and if you are found guilty under the bench of jury then you have to bear a law suit which will be amounting to $4515.85 and will be totally levied upon you and that would be excluding your bail charges, your attorney charges and the due amount pending on your name $986.45

    Thanks for being our customer,
    ACS Legal Department

This is so funny.  What has an attempted email extortion got to do with wiretapping?  Too much.

I guess it's true - if you let a monkey sit long enough in front of a keyboard, eventually you'll get Gone With The Wind.  Who knew...

Today I was contacted by someone named allison landers. She is a lady with a thick middle eastern accent. She gave a case number and said there was a lawsuit against me and that I was due to court in a few days. She also said there would be a summons in the mail for me(which never happened ) !!! SHE claimed it was imperative to contact my attorney or federal action would happen. This isn't the first time its happened though. I hope they are brought to justice soon!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. This is a scam and they are very persistent. Go to this website for more information:

    https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-882-5684

This is a scam. They use threats to con people out of money that you may or may not owe. They don't like being asked questions about their company (fake company), they can't give any information or provide documents about the so called bad debt owed. They tend to change their MO. Sometimes it's about payday loans or debts. About a year ago they were calling people telling them they were in a criminal suit and had a restraining order issued on them. This needs to stop. If they call, question them about their company. Record the conversations if you can and tell them they are being recorded. Tell them you are reporting them to the FTC, BBB, police, attorney general, FBI...and do it. The more complaints, the better chance we have of catching these morons. Here is some information that may help you:

    * They call from various 877, 866, 800 numbers and U.S numbers in various states. Sometimes the number will come in as 000-000-0000.
    * They may or may not have a middle eastern accent. They recently caught on that people weren't buying that someone named John Smith has a middle eastern accent, so they do have American accented people doing this now.
    * They will use phrases such as: Breach of contract, fraud, defrauding a financial institution, Internet fraud, payday loan fraud, etc.
    * They will threaten that you will receive one or all of the following: court summons, failure to appear, email from the company, etc.
    * They will threaten you with: jail time, losing your job, notifying your employer/family or both, coming to your house at night, physically hurting you and I have even found threads where the male callers have threatened females with coming over to rape them.
    * They use very common last names such as: Cooper, Anderson, Smith, Taylor, Logan, etc. Usually common first names too.
    * They will not give you any information about the company. They will tell you it's private information or that their fax is broken, etc.
    * They use company names such as ACS, NCS, CCA, Loan Point and others.
    * They will tell you that you can only pay with a credit, debit or prepaid card. They will not accept any other form of payment.
    * They will tell you that you are a loser, immature, cuss at you, call you stupid, call you horrible names, etc.

Whatever you do DO NOT GIVE THESE SCUMBAGS ANY INFORMATION. Do not verify any of your information. Tell them they are a scam and law enforcement is working on tracking them down. Tell them you are recording them. Call them back and question them. Be sure to protect your credit because they have most of your personal information. Put a fraud alert on your credit file with all three credit bureaus. Report them to as many agencies as you can. And if you have ANY helpful information to add to this that will help catch these fools, please add it to this site. I am furious and ready to take these people down.

The reason you don't get that number back is because they are calling by using a prepaid phone card.  Once they use it up they move on to another one from another phone card.  Trick is to keep them on the phone long enough to use up the card then they have to start over.  Don't use your name....don't even admit you are even you!  Bill collectors cannot call you at your job unless you give them permission.  Once you have that settled anyone who calls you at work is either a scam or the real business (you will know this by their greeting and when they state who they are associated with).

I've been getting calls from these idiots for at least 4 months.  They call about 5 times a day and threaten me with all kinds of things.  Usually they will end a voice message with "good luck while you are in jail."  I've been told that they are from a law frim named Trent & Jones.  Last night I got a call telling me that he was Officer Mike Tillson (unknown location) and I needed to call him immediately because he has an arrest warrant for me.  When the call came through my cell phone it was marked "emergency" which is the only reason that I answered it.  Thirty seconds later they called my landline phone and said the same stuff.  They know my name and other personal information.  Today I am changing my phone numbers.  I keep a list of the numbers that they have used to call me.  It is quite lengthy.  I believe they are calling from India due to the accents that are detected.  I used to live there so I know.
