Repeated daily calls
Complaint
Josephine Magill
Country: United States
I received daily calls since we got our new phone number ( 1 year) from various phone numbers claiming to be the remodeling center or home center and trying to book an appointment and gather info about me and my home. Sometimes we receive 3-4 calls a day. Nobody cares we are on the no call list. One guy told me it was the FTC's fault and he had to call me. Today it was from a cell phone (909) 231-5204, said his name was Jerome, when we called the number back it said number belonged to Michael Anderson Internal Revenue Service.

It seems to be from Jonathan Construction, in Culver City.
When I ask 'which location is your home center', I am accused of playing games for not answering their questions before knowing who I am talking with, and they will hang up.
I did find their confirmation number: 866-701-7706, from another complaint. I called it, using Skype, and it really is a confirmation number. But I am still not certain of the exact location. The woman who answered my call to that confirmation number said that she works with a few companies, and is not allowed to tell where the business is located.

BTW, I do not feel sorry for the employees/telemarketers of these firms. Just like I don't feel sorry for causing grief to anyone else breaking the law. They know they're breaking the law, they donot care they're breaking law as evidenced by their repeated calls. If someone told me they were just doing the job they were paid to do as they stole my car, should I feel sorry for them? After all "I'm just doing my job."
The predator has been flagged as a scam contractor (probably unlicensed), who also phones from (323) 209-3285. The venerable website www.whitepages.com describes both numbers as "scam or fraud."
