I bought my water softener and reverse osmosis 6 years ago, they promised me cristal clear ice but I never had it.I was not able to return the system because thay told me the fridge tubes are contaminated, we bought a new fridge and till noe we don't have cristal clear ice.

The scam today is I called for service for my reverse osmosis under the sink I keep hearing the water , the technician showed up on time looked at it, seriously just looked at it and told me I need a $325 valve and it will cost me $15 per 15 minutes to install it , I said no thank you.
Well I was charge $79 service chage and $30 labor charge although he didn't do any labor.
I called the company and they said this is their policy.
KINETICO IS THE WORST COMPANY I ever delt with, big time LIARS.
I will never recommand it to anybody, it is the worst for a fraction of the price I can get the same system from Costco, lowes or home depot.

Try Ecowater. They can be found on any Costco and units are way better.

one of the reasons the price is so high is because they are coached by Kinetico as to what price range they should be selling at.  A selling range means no price fixing but keeps the price elevated as all dealers know what others are charging.  You have to buy from them instead of your local independent water treatment professional.  They also have a deal with Home Depot which pays H.D. a 18-20% commission on each sale.  This adds a cost of $500-$1000.00 on each and every sale that is linked to a Home Depot lead.  They also lock you in with their 15" pre-filter.  Only they can sell it to you.  Since Axel Johnson purchased Kinetico many people who were good were let go.  The remaining are nothing but crooks and the dealers have become their puppets.  If you think the Home Depot connection doesn't effect your price just think about it!  The prices across board on all systems have gone up over the last 2 years.  Somebody has to pay for it and they can't quote you less than the H.D. price so everybody pays more and you think your getting a better deal by going through the H.D. but your getting hosed.  Believe me I know the truth.

We've found EcoWater units to be the most economical and extremely reliable.
