I bought my water softener and reverse osmosis 6 years ago, they promised me cristal clear ice but I never had it.I was not able to return the system because thay told me the fridge tubes are contaminated, we bought a new fridge and till noe we don't have cristal clear ice.

The scam today is I called for service for my reverse osmosis under the sink I keep hearing the water , the technician showed up on time looked at it, seriously just looked at it and told me I need a $325 valve and it will cost me $15 per 15 minutes to install it , I said no thank you.
Well I was charge $79 service chage and $30 labor charge although he didn't do any labor.
I called the company and they said this is their policy.
KINETICO IS THE WORST COMPANY I ever delt with,big time LIARS.
I will never recommand it to anybody, it is the worst for a fraction of the price I can get the same system from Costco, lowes or home depot.

    ITS THIS A GOOD DEAL ?
    I have had a kinetico system for over 10 years, just lask week I had a rep to come to my home and check my system, before looking at it, whie being outside on my drive way, he told me that I needed some filters for the R/O. and that I need to replace the water softener because the results of the water test showed hard water and the filter is without warranty,this will cost me $4495.00 plus tax..for a brand new system with 10 years warranty.
    But just to service what its already there will cost me $2500.00 for recondition the K30, servicing the R/O and adding neutralizer, rebed the iron filter. work on the twin tank 2030 water conditioner,so , after taking the 1.5 minutes of  inspection, we walked back outside to my driveway and here was the final deal,,$3000.00 CASH for the new system CASH ONLY..My question is, what is the actual cost of the parts and labor..I can NOT find the prices for the system.
    Where can I purchase these items without feeling being RIP OFF or is this a GOOD DEAL?

    Companies offering cash deals for systems sounds a little fishy. In my opinion Kinetico has an amazing product line with its efficient non-electric options. What seems to be the main issue here is the independent Kinetico Dealer you've been dealing with, I've had a Kinetico for 5 years and I love it, the dealer I go through has been good too. The dealers make there own pricing for services, not Kinetico. (I dealt with 2 different dealers and found one cheaper then the other)  I would send the complaint straight to Kinetico headquarters with the name of the company you have been dealing with so they know what is going on and maybe they can help you, or speak to the dealer and make it right.
    REDSOX-MA you should call Kinetico and let them know about the "cash only" spiel you got too, that doesn't sound right.

    I am very pleased with my residential system down in Kenedy Texas. Is the system noisey, yes. Is the RO water crystal clear, no. Is it better than the crappy, hard, aresenic, public treated water system, yes. Has service been good, yes.

    DON'T BUY KINETICO, IT REALLY DOES SUCK...I bought my soft water and drinking water system in 2009. For 2 1/2 years I went with out soft water. I had the technician out twice a month to fix my softner. they kept telling me there was nothing wrong with the system for 2 1/2 years. after a very long and stress full battle with these idiots, I threaten to hang there system up in the air in front of my house with my tractor and a large sign saying "call me before using kenitico". they came out again and found the water volume counter was for a car wash that uses large volumes of water. to this date I will not call them because of the shotty service, saying that I have the problem and not them, and accusing me of lying about the promises made to me at time of purchase. to this date this system still does not soften the water good enough. I hate this system. I paid $5200.00 for a crappy system and should have bought a sears for $500.00 and been happy. P.S. don' t get the wife started about kinetico.

    If any of the Kinetico dealers reading this thread are willing to sell me some filters (9306B) for a reasonable price - shoot me an email chjensen@earthlink.net  Thanks - I won't tell Kinetico....................just want to not get ripped off.
