I made reservations (first experience) on CheapOair for travel for two without making a seat assignment.  I followed a link in the email confirmation the next day to request one, and was presented with the option of paying $11.95 for an "enhanced" service which included a small graphic of the aircraft outline with seats color coded as to availability (like I've seen for FREE on other websites), or continue with the "standard" selection.  I chose the latter, and another pop-up asked if I was SURE I did not want the enhanced version.  Again - no.  I was then presented with the option of REQUESTING either an aisle or window seat and promised a response within 48hrs.  I called their customer service number and after 33 minutes on hold was connected with a somewhat frazzled rep who took care of the assignments for me.  I don't know if this is a new industry trend or unique to CheapOair, but I won't be back unless I can be assured I can make a seat assignment without paying extra for privilege.

    Am a sweet guy i like to eat chicken and drink beer i work part time as a cook/dishwasher i get 10.50hr studying to be a chef i save money with this service am happy with my seat me and my big booty

    Did not like the fee for seat allocation, it comes up without notice and you have paid before you know it!!

    Called Cheapshitneveruseagin  to get seat assignment, some guy said it would be $14.95 per person...really?  Or, call the airline and they gave me seats, no charge.

    We have just discovered cheapoair have taken £55.60 from us for seat allocation but we weren't even given the option to select our seats! There are 8 of us in our party travelling together with 3 of them children so we need at least some seats together of our flights (we have 3 flights to get to our destination) cheapoair are saying if we ask them to refund this money we are not guaranteed the seats we have been assigned (on on,y 2 of the flights) but from what I have been reading online these are not guaranteed even if we don't ask for a refund. This is the first time booking with cheapoair and will be the last! Other issues we have them trying to charge us another £400 for baggage when the airline have confirmed to us there tickets included 1 piece if checked baggage. Took us over 2 hours of phone called to get this sorted out!

    i just book a flight with the cheapo-air and i have the same problems with the seats,this people they are a bunch of crooks

    Yes I was also charge a 25,90 fee and they over charge me and extra 20 on the hotel for 1 night that I'm on the phone now ! I recommend trying somebody else and if you do buy here check you account and take a picture of your screen!!

    I just purchased a ticket through cheap o flight.  I chose my seat assignment and with each choice a "no charge" came up at the bottom.  When I went to complete the booking, a $12.95 charge came up for seat assignment.  I could not find anywhere that explained this charge. I went thru the entire process again to see if I marked a place that said there was a charge for my seat assignment.  There was nothing. Ugh!!! I had to buy the ticket regardless but this was a very shading charged that was not explained.  I will NEVER buy a ticket thru this site again.

    Same thing happened to me. They wanted $19.99 per seat and there were only 3 seats left on the plane and they were not together so I did nothing.  I got a call from a guy from India saying I did not pick a seat and I said will I have to pay and he said yes, so I said, YOU PICK MY SEAT  for me. there are only 3 left and I will not pay.

    Before you make a payment please contact your airlines!!! Not cheapOair customer service people. They are like parrots, they have the text in front of them and they are repeating what they have  been told to. They are trying to make more money, that's it. Do not fall in this trap! The seat chart they show you is another trap, you panick and  feel like you have to buy the ones you are shown, The real airline seat choice stars 24 hours before your flight's actual hour. The ones they show you are the ones that airlines sold cheapOair or expedia or whatsoever. The ones that you cannot sellect, in other words, shown to you as taken before, are the ones that the real airlines will open online 24 hrs before-and -FREE- and/or for personal checkin time. FYI guys-

    I will not be using Cheapo air again, on four flights they have charged me over $400 for seats.
    Perhaps they should rename themselves conair.

    I want to send an email regarding my seating arrangement which I made a booking for 3 persons 1 adult and 2 children, I found out that they are not together in 1 row. How can I change it. What email address should I go to or any contact number?   I'm booking from Perth Western Australia.
