I have a do not call number and the caller from Visa and Mastercard Credit card services refused to remove the number.  They are also trying to get my credit card information to "lower my rates"

Visa /MasterCard Assistance Center has been calling me and being pushy to get my card numbers and bank account numbers, Says they can lower interest rates and save me thousands of dollars and a hole list of other goodies if I could just give them my account information, refusing the disclose where their office address is located I gave them the address of the local FBI office and hung up.

    BEWARE THIS SCAM

"Credit Card Services for Visa & Mastercard"  - starts with a robocall 'this is Lisa from Card Services from Visa & Mastercard" - ' if you would like to lower your rates, please press 9 to be transferred to an agent'.  Then, the call transfers to someone in a bogus call center with an indian accent saying 'our records show that you have a good history of payments above the minumum', "would you like to lower your rates?'

This is a pretty popular SCAM  to steal your credit card info.  If you DO talk to anyone (you should just hang up on the robocall displaying PRIVATE NUMBER on your caller ID, but if you do), ask for the company name, the caller's name, telephone number, address, contact info (you need that to report to FTC/fraud or DoNotCall... they will probably hang up if you ask those questions - that is how you know it is a scam.

this idiot called my cell phone today.....when I asked them what card they were talking about I was given a laundry list of card company names.  when I asked where they got my name and phone number I was told that Visa/MasterCard gave it to them to talk to me about lowering my rate because I always pay the minimum on time.  Well, the thing is, I don't have a credit card by choice!  when I pointed this out the gentleman (and I use this term lightly as you will see as I go on with the story) and asked him to remove my name and number he told me he could not.  I then asked him for the name of his company, his name, phone #, and address. he proceeded to ask me if I was flirting with him and began talking in a sexual nature to me (which I will not repeat here).  no matter what I said to him he continued talking about sexually explicit acts.  I finally hung up!

I just got off the phone with Adam Jackon (a Perisan Mother) , id: 7814361, and we went thru the dance. He gave the phone to Ken Joseph, who decided to terminate the call. I hope someone can find out who these guys are and shut them down.  Otherwise, thank you Adam, it was a good exercise in consumer protection.

Some computer geek should get the owner of this company's name so we can phone him all day long.
All his numbers, residence, cell and whatever else.

I think I'm getting calls from this same company.  Behavior as described, and when I asked to be removed from the list, they literally just said "no" and hung up.   It spoofs both my own area code and first three digits of my number so it looks like a local call, I guess.

It's incredibly tiring to keep receiving these.

If I could find the [***] hole they are calling from I would go in there with IEDs and automatic weapons and take care of the problem. I bet they couldn't find 12 people in the entire country that isn't tired of these calls to sit on my jury.  The only thing that pisses me off more than these [***] calling me 20-30 times a week is the fact that our government is doing absolutely nothing to stop them.  Has anyone else noticed the almost always have a foreign accent?  NUKE 'EM TIL THEY GLOW!

Got a call from a local area code #, so I picked it up. The guy said hes from Visa & Mastercard services, wouldn't say the company. then I told him to remove me off the list, and he said he would keep calling until I get the services because they have lots of different numbers and I can't do anything about it.

At the end of the conversation I asked if hes proud of himself for having such a shi**y job to keep annoying people, if it made him feel good. then I hung up on him.

I have a small business and do not wish to put my number on the do not call list so I have had this call repeatedly for months.  The number on the caller ID usually has my same area code and even the same first 3 digits, so it looks very local, but when you call the number back, it is innocent local people whose numbers the scammers are using to disguise their real origination.  The scariest part is that when I play along for a while, they have more than just 4 digits of my account numbers and they know the expiration dates and balances, so I think they either have access to credit reports or have gotten ahold of data through one of the many data breaches large corporations have had the last few years. Like the person above said, the sentence I use to deter them from calling me is " I only give out personal data to numbers I call... would you give me yours so I can call you back?"  They always argue or hang up.

There incredible [***], just spoofed my insurance company name and number, so I would answer.  When I checked the number, it was a recording saying it was a non working number for Kaiser Permanente . These people are despicable.

They just called me. They were able to give me the balance on my credit cards so I did think they were perhaps legit. I gave them 1 of my cc #s before I started to get suspicious & refused when they asked for another. Now I’m
Concerned about the # I gave them.
Dang. I should have known better.

So far I have a list from 12 different local numbers being used by these scammers. It is ridiculous how often they call, 3 back to back within a 15 min. period and they've even used hospital phone numbers. Nothing you say or do stops them.

I am so sick of these calls 2 to 3 time a day, so I just lead them on and give them fake information, it will hold the phone up for a while and one less call they can make. ask them for a number to call them back on and they will not give you on
