I do not have a harassment complaint. I paid my debt of which was with Pay-Pal. I get this refund check back from Portfolio Recovery Associates. I called Portfolio and they said it was and adjustment check from Pay-Pal. I can't get any more information on why they sent this amount back to me as a refund. I have called Pay-Pal, Portfolio and have talked to about 16 idiots at Pay-Pal. They can't give me any information because it was an old Master Card Account that I no longer have and cancelled. I just want to know if it is safe to cash this check. Lord help me!

    I saw that everyone is only getting a $28 check, which is to be mailed out on or before April 30th. Did anyone else hear this? Is that all we get?

    I think the portfolio lawsuit is some kind of fraud. I haven't received any kind of check but every day I still hear from a collection agency about that debt that portfolio said I had. I will never again file to take part in a class action suit because instead of a check they gave my phone number to portfolio so portfolio could harass me again. This is over a debt they said I had seven years ago and even though I proved that it wasn't me the phone calls keep coming. Disappointed.

    Just to add...$28 is an insulting amount of money for those who have been harassed by those vultures as it was originally supposed have been around $3,500 per claim. Portfolio put me through hell, for example, they called and harassed my landlord about the so called debt which didn't sit well with him. He could have evicted me for causing him trouble. The debt isn't mine and as I said before I proved it wasn't mine. They first called me seven years ago and for a time they stopped up until a few months ago.

    I received a check for $30..not going to cash it, figure it will give them access to my bank acct. Also says - do not copy or will void check.. there goes any evidence! The check itself us much smaller than a normal check. Nonsense/scam/trash

      Received a check today for $30.68.  Not putting that check in my account so they can drain me. I agree with Poor Boy.
