I do not have a harassment complaint. I paid my debt of which was with Pay-Pal. I get this refund check back from Portfolio Recovery Associates. I called Portfolio and they said it was and adjustment check from Pay-Pal. I can't get any more information on why they sent this amount back to me as a refund. I have called Pay-Pal, Portfolio and have talked to about 16 idiots at Pay-Pal. They can't give me any information because it was an old Master Card Account that I no longer have and cancelled. I just want to know if it is safe to cash this check. Lord help me!

    I received a litigation check for $30.68 from portfolio recovery. I will not be depositing into my bank, as I don't want any trail with my account access within their reach. But I will be cashing it at a local check cashing facility. There's no trail to my bank account, and I do believe I should receive something from those harassers.

      Did you have any trouble cashing it at a check cashing facility, being that the check is from a post card with our name and address already printed on the back?

    I also received a check yesterday for $30.68 and plan to not deposit it in any of my bank accounts.  I have been harassed by them for years and do not want them to have any access to anything i have....its enough that they have my mailing address.  Therefore....unsure what i am going to do with the check.  Check cashing place is out of the question....it will cost me so much to cash...not worth it so unless i can think of some other way....i will trash it.  Its enough that they got in trouble and had to pay out money.

    I got check from class action lawsuit today. I did a screenshot of receipt when I signed onto lawsuit last year. I have that proof. But it's on a postcard! I dont have bank account and can't imagine my local Wal-Mart cashing a check on a postcard. Has anyone been successful at cashing one?

    Hi!  I just received a check from PRA Group.  Can we cash?  It isn't much, they do give a reference number, however, that is it.

    Nobody has answered the question if they have cashed their check yet and where?? I still have one for $30 although I lost more them that to them years ago. There is no place  on back too endorse it at so I was wondering what to do with it
