CDWS was the biggest scam.  I had the warranty for about 5 months and had gone 4,000+ miles when my fan clutch and heater core went out on me.  I contacted CDWS to see if I could take it to the dealer to have it checked out.  They told me yes.  So when I did the michanic found that my heater core was going out and my fan clutch was also almost toast.  Then when the mechanic countacted CDWS and told them the problem they said no we will not pay for what is covered he asked why and got no response.  I myself have tried to contact them and have got hung up on givin wrong numbers, and treated rudely.  If anyone else has been treaded this way or been scamed by this company then let me know my email is sharkasurf@comcast.net  I would love to file a class action lawsuit against this company, and get them shut down.  Thanks

We have one of these stupid warranties and we just had a car issue. We tried contacting all of the offered numbers as well as the fax and got no response. We then tried contacting the finance company in which is supposed to work with these jerks and they said that we don't even exist, yet they take our money? I am all for helping in a suit against this company to try and get our money back. It was not cheap in the least and has been the most unhelpful I have ever seen.... Please send me any info that I might be able to go after these people and get our money back.... They also had told us that if we didn't have any claims or any problems that we could get our money back in no problem.... I don't think it is going to be that easy.... Email me at riverchick720@yahoo.com put in subject header CDWS info.... so I know its not spam.... thanks

Hi I have the same issue with everyone else here so no need to rewrite my personal experience.  Just wondering if there are any on-going class action suits or how do I go about getting a refund from these guys.

    Please email me with info.

I have CDWS as well and have similar problems as many others on here. I was even told that I can not cancel my warranty service.  I would like to be involved in a suit against this company as well. Please email me if you need help @ Joel.kirouac@live.com.

Same issues, according to the BBB (which rated them an 'F') there are hundreds of complaints for warranty denial against them. As stated previously the Deprtmt of Insurance in the state of Washington put them out of business in their state, so there is at least hope that we can stop them from taking money from others. If there is a class action suit against CDWS, I am in. Rubinland@aol.com

I have had the same experience as you.  Last Thursday 3/24 I tried using the warranty for the 1st time.  I, nor the repair shop was able to get concrete information from CDWS or MEPCO, the fold who financed the $2100 that I paid.I am more than willing to get a class action suit started.  They must be stopped.  This is a huge scam conspiracy...more than one company involved.

So tell us,  How did you get through to a customer service repair person.  I have only gotten a list of phone numbers but am not able to connect to get the repairs authorized.  My repair shop has also tried.  I have even sent a fax to the company and left voice messages along the way.

Please clear up the mystery, if you can. I found a "F" rating when I checked BBB on Thursday.   Thanks.

Today is 3-31-2011. I purchased a "Direct Choice" policy from CDWS in July 2008. My car has recently developed two problems: power window not working and air conditioner not blowing cold air.  Before taking car to a repair facility, I decided to contact CDWS to discuss matter and confirm their written policy coverage. Have spent over 3 hours trying to contact orginal SELLER-Certified Warranrt services; FINANCIAL-MEPCO; and actual PROVIDER-Consumer Direct Warranty Service; to no avail. If this matter does not go down well, then I am willing to participate in a legal action. My policy cost $2,500.

The repair facility and myself have tried to call, email, and fax CDWS about a claim and nothing is being done.  All you get is the run-around. I would love to participate in a class-action lawsuit, if not to reclaim the money I spent purchasing this worthless policy, then at least to shut them down and keep them from doing this to someone else. They are a huge SCAM!!! Please email me: ehollywatts@gmail.com

    Thanks.

    TO FILE A COMPLAINT:
there is already an investigation against CDWS because it is a CA based company ONLY the CA Attorney General's office will handle it, unless you wish to pursue at your own expense.   GO HERE: http://oag.ca.gov/contact and fill out the claim form, or call them for more information,   if they decide to do a class action suit against them, they will notify you if you have filed a complaint.

and yeah  groble groble all of the above happened to me too!

    Hello,
Did you ever initiate a suit against this company?  I have an older consumer who needs help with CDWS, also.  I'd like to give her information on a class action suit if there is one, along with information on the regulatory agencies involved in this situation.

    Thank you,
    Maureen

I have also had problems with this company.  I have an extended warranty witht them and I am unable to reach a live voice as well as my mechanic (who is frustrated and refuse to keep fax over the estimate along with a copy of my agreement). They have scammed so many people. I think a class action suit should be filed against them.  Email please with concerns and suggestions educated105@yahoo.com

You must be one of the crooks that own this company.  They have an F rating with the BBB because they they haven't enlisted with them!!
