Universal Survey Center keeps calling our phone even after we requested them not to call us. (Calls from 1-646-467-6665). We would like to request FTC to list our phone number (301-279-5477) so that Universal Survey Center will not call us again.
I did a Google Search and found that many people report similar complaints against this organization. The web address below lists many similar complaints.

6 calls in one week, last 3 agents were asked to remove me from the list. Like others, was told they are not soliciting and that they did not have to remove me from their list. I went directly to their website and added myself to their DNC list. I advised the last agent of this and she continued to argue with me about their right to call. When I asked to speak to a floor supervisor, the agent hung up on me. My biggest issue is that the calls come just before 9pm and to my cell which I do not give out.

If I recall it is illegal to auto-dial a personal cell phone number unless you have prior business with the company.  In this case you probably should report them to the FTC.

This is why the FTC initially said cell phones didn't need to be added to the do not call list, until the realized it was a way to hit corrupt companies twice.

While they do not have to honor the do not call list if they are just giving surveys, there is a difference between a mandate and a good practice.   If they want a list of people who likely won't take their surveys, the Do Not Call registry is a very good place to start.   Apparently they don't care about this, which really sheds light on what type of company they are.

I had the same problem. I told them I was on the do not call list, and they told me that their company didn't count towards the Do Not Call Registry because they weren't selling anything. That was yesterday, and now, on Saturday, I got another call. I didn' t answer it though.

Try blocking the number in your cell phone. This service is part of many cell phone plans.

We have recieved 8 calls in two days from a "survey."  First time I told them I wasn't interested.  Second time, that person had died.  Third that they didn't live at this address anymore (they were asking for me, but they don't know who they are talking to).  I just started hanging up on them after that.  After 2 days, I called the 800 number back that showed up on caller ID and the automated system answered saying they comply with all federal rules and if we wanted to be removed from their call list hit "1."  I did and then there was just silence.  Another call from them.... I hung up on them and called the 800 number again, after you hit "1" you enter your phone number - then nothing.  Another call....  Third time I hit "1," entered my phone number, and it says are you really sure you don't want to give your opinion?  Hit "1" if you want to allow others to make decisions for you.  It is absolutly absurd that it is that difficult to get them to stop calling.  We will see if this works or if they call again within the hour....

I worked at Universal Survey Center for 2 years. First of we do not have control over who we call. Most of the times there is not a option to put then number on a do not call list. We are told to schedule the call for a call back. The number is not deleted even if you talk to a supervisor. On average it takes over 50 calls and months before they actually delete your name. The client pays people for your number and they say they can not delete it for that reason. They lie and say they will stop calling but they don't, the best way to handle this situation is to block the number.

They do not pay 41000 per month. Average pay is minimum wage. It is not even a full time job and no one but the people that work in the office are allowed to work 40 hours per week. You also are required to work at least one day of the weekend.

I investigated this place b/c a friend who fell on HARD times ended up working there for a few months 2 years ago!FOLKS!This place employs convicts, pregnant 17year olds, half way house individuals, vagrants from shelters, all the dreads of society and some decent very low income people as I am sure. They scream all kinds of ridiculous and disrespectful lude remarks when they need more calls made so the shift leader can make his/her quota for the night. They watch you constantly when you go to the bathroom....or they come in the men's bathroom to tell you to get out or hurry up.you cannot use your cell phone to make calls,if you are late they make you sit in an area and maybe make you go home and lose a day/night's pay! You can just walk in there @ 5:30pm on any given weekday and pretend you work there and go to the back of the kitchen/waiting area!In the immortal words of Chris Rock the comedian..there are black people and there are n***z! well the latter is who they employ and that is also who watches over them like big brother, slave master mentality! I kid you not.Oh yeah..This place is  NASTY, loud and in a big call center loft/warehouse set up and they pay you $7.25 an hour and make sure that  you do not work more than 26 hours a week.Trust me when I say this.I am black and I would not wish this job on anyone.

Well I don't object to who they employ, so much as how they treat them.  Everybody deserves a second chance, it does not do good to slander a company by saying they employ such people.

However employing people who cannot get jobs elsewhere for the purpose of exploiting them is wrong, and if what your saying is true, this is clearly the case.   You really should make that your point instead.

You are very wrong. I work there and they never come into the bathroom when i use it. And you could use your phone but not just in your booth. And you can work more than 26 hours, you can even work up to 39 hours but cant exceed that, so if you dont work there stop making assumptions or going off of what someone told you. The best experience is first hand experience

still scum of the earth.  ROBOCALLS ARE ILLEGAL. DO NOT PRETEND THAT THIS IS A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS. Even if the DO not call registry does not apply , legitimate businesses maintain their own Do not call lists and do not [***] people about the rules not applying.

No you are not allowed to use your cell phone anywhere not even in the breakroom or the bathroom and if you take longer than the 3-5 mins to use the bathroom they will send someone in there to get you. They do not scream insulting comments to get more completes. It is not a warehouse it is located in a nice office building in the city.

I don't know where you get your reasoning from.they are not the best job and they do try to help everyone. Please if you don't know about the place don't just put your two cents into it .I have been working there for two years and I can say this it a job that they give opportunities to everyone. You can't say that about most jobs these days.
