Just got yet another call from GE Security Solutions.   About the 100th call in a couple months.  They are as annoying as Credit Card services Rachel and now Ann.  I have done the press 1 to be taken off the list and of course they probably just take that as information that it is a good number to call because there is a person pressing buttons on the other end.  This time I talked to the guy calling himself Aaron and let him talk for 10 minutes about the GE monitronics wireless security system.  During the conversation I insisted I have his phone number in case I had more questions and needed to call him back.  It took about 5 minutes before he finally said he was out of South Florida and gave me 916-262-7962 x1015 as his phone number.  I had to jump on  a meeting and had to hang up but before I did I told him I'm on the do not call list and he said he suspected that and thanked me for wasting his time and hung up.  Haven't verified if it is his real number or not, but I will give it a try.  If so, I'll report them, else, not much we can do until we put pressure on polititians to put some effort into solving this problem.

The other problem is they are calling my cell phone as well as my house phone.  I average 3 of these kinds of calls a day.  It's like a virus.

Add your number to the National Do Not Call Registry (888-382-1222) at least you may have some legal, or financial, footing down the road when the lawyers finally catch up with em'

I've been getting phone calls from GE Security Solutions, promising me a free security system if I put a sign up in my front yard.

I did speak to somebody on the phone. However, when I asked the woman what her Oklahoma State security license number was, she laughed and then hung up. In Oklahoma, you have to be licensed by the state and they have to give you that number. I think many other states have the same licensing provisions.

Ironically, my husband and I sell and service burglar and commercial fire alarm systems and are licensed in Oklahoma. Always ask for their company license number. Always. You have to be licensed to sell, service, and/or install security systems.

I had a young man come to my door today with a GE shirt on. He said he was with GE and working with the local neighborhood crime watch. I told him that I am the local neighborhood crime watch and he nor GE was working with me or our neighborhood board. He insisted they were, I insisted they were not. He said they will be coming around in September to update alarm phone lines because "phone lines are getting cut." We don't even have a GE alarm.

He quickly flashed his badge at me and held up a paper that he claimed was a permit, then quickly put it in his folder.

Well I looked up on our city website to see if GE has a license to go door to door. In my city any alarm sales people must get a permit and be fingerprinted. GE has no such permit in my city.

I called the police on him but don't know what else I can do. The police will be patrolling and watching for this individual, I hope they find him.

You will probably have to address him using 'Louisville Slugger' security next time. The only way he'll stick around for Police is if he can't walk.

These people have called me everyday for a couple years and are driving me crazy.  When I press one and get someone, I tell them to stop calling me.  They just hang up.  Rude and hateful.  I'm going to keep pressing one and yelling at them until they stop.

Received a LIVE call from "654-8429" around 10am today .... pleasant lady (no not Rachel, I've had them too) said 'This is GE Home Security ... how are you doing today' I said 'fine" and the call disconnected.  Will have to assume this call was attempt to (a) verify a working phone #; (b) scam telemarketing and/or (c) scam survey, w/scam telemarketing included .... or all of the above.  Attempt to call # back resulted in phone co. recording saying '# cannot be completed as dialed .... must dial 1 or 0 plus area code"
Virtually impossible to trace source of call w/o area code ... but you can still report to FCC/FTC by entering 000 in area code field.

If they are asking how you are doing and hanging up after you reply back, they could be verifying your phone number to sell.

Got one of these calls on my cell today in MN - number was 218-316-7413 which is in Baxter, MN (small northern town.) I know times are tough but I feel sorry for the people who choose to make a living this way. It's dishonest, illegal, and really annoying. I think phone companies should be held more responsible for this type of harassment.

I've been getting these calls for several years.  Most of the time the caller ID says "number not provided".  Today I got one from 767-275-4471 and dialed 1 to tell them to stop calling and I'm on the do not call list.  Like others here, they just hung up.  I called my phone company to enable the blocking service, but I don't know if it's going to help.   767 is an are code in the Dominican Republic.  I actually tried to call it back and the phone line just drops with a busy  signal.  Like it couldn't be completed.  So sick and tired of GE Security Systems.  I wish some lawyer would file a class action suit.  This makes the Do not Call List a laughable piece of legislation.  There's no enforcement and no one wants to pursue it.  You would think some ambulance chasing attorney would see the $$ signs and try to file against GE Security Systems.  They would make a fortune.

I've been getting calls from this jerks for the past year.  The first call was actually from the guy that I hear on the robo-calls that I've been getting ever since.  He told me he was with Security Solutions, blah...blah..blah....  I told him I wasn't interested, not to call, I was on the DNC list, etc.  I get at least one call from them every day.  Last week, I finally pressed "1" and I talked to a female who actually seemed really nice.  I told her that I was on the DNC list and to take me off of it.  She said she would be happy to do that for me.  I didn't get any calls from them yesterday (Monday), so I hoped that took care of it.  Not so much....  Today, I got that freakin' robo-call again, from that same guy.  I pressed 1 and spoke to a guy named Adam.  I tried to ask him what his company name was again, and he hung up on me.  Two minutes later, I get the same robo-call again.  So, again, I pressed 1 and spoke with a female named Alicia.  I asked her what company she was with, that I was on the DNC list, and she hung up on me.  I do not have caller ID, call blocking, etc.  I am so sick and tired of these people!!   I already filed a complaint with the FCC a long time ago, but I don't have much faith in that whole DNC list anyway.   Something has to be done!  This has to be illegal!

I'm still getting calls from these [***]!!  Got another one 20 minutes ago.  I press "1" to talk to someone, and as soon as I tell them to stop calling, they hang up.  I can't file a complaint on the do not call registry, because I don't have a phone number for them!!   Now what do I do?????   I hate these idiots!!

I am getting a loud whistle, holding on the line for a live person and then blowing it so loud that they won't want to call back.  That's my next solution.  Rude people and sick and tired of them calling.

Got 4 calls yesterday between 2pm and 7pm from GE Home Security. Man's name was "Dan" and I told him we were on the "Do not call" registry. First call was from a 888 number. Next three were from 919-535-4741. After he was told the second time to not call, he kept calling and pretended he didn't know he called me. The third and fourth time were sarcastic remarks from him. So I filed a police report for harassing phone calls. Let's see if this puts the kabosh on this non-sense.
