On June first a friend and I went to Red Lobster Restaurant for lunch around 2:30PM. We were greeted poorly by a messy dressed hostess who had a very sad and put upon attitude. As she seated us, we decided to sit at the bar. The service was terrible. When we complained to the manager nothing was accomplished. Just the manager and the waitress/barmaid whispering to each other. The potato was uncooked and hard. The food itself was sparse for the price $22.95, the coke was flat, and the manager did nothing to help our situation. We would never go there again or advise anyone else to go there either. I visited Red Lobsters located 8009 West Broad Street in Richmond, VA (804) 747-9490. I was given a pager to wait to be called for a table. me & my guest wait was approximately 20 minutes which I didn't understand because there were many tables available. I'm not sure if help was short or what nevertheless; we waited. upon being called to be seatd someone not the waiter/waitress told us that Sarah our waitress would be right with us however; Sarah didn't arrive until 20 minutes later. I was HOT at this point but my boyfriend told me to cool off. I refused then I said ok because it was his birthday and I wanted him to enjoy the dinner. Upon Sarah arrival I questioned her as to what took her so long to get to our table she explanied that she was tired up with another customer. I even videoed her because I was recording my boyfriend for his birthday at the time. She procedded to take our order we ordered an appetizer and our meal at the same time. during the wait 25 minutes passed and we had not gotten biscuits or appetizer the resturant didn't appear to be busy at all. We witnessed other guest who came in after us eating their meal and we still had not received our appetizer or bread. after a 25 minute wait  approximately 10 minutes later we receive the appetizer with our salads that came with the meal. One salad was to have no crutoons however; it did I told Sarah the salad was wrong she asked if I wanted her send it back I said no for fear it would take longer to get another one. She apologized and said it was on the wrong tray. That's not my problem. Our experience was the worst. Any and eveytime I visit Red Lobsters and I am not satisfied with my service I will continue to voice my opinion with a complaint. At no time were we ever greeted by a manager to inquire if everything was going well with our visit. Im not sure if that's something they do at this location or not. I spent close to $100.00 attempting to make his birthday special for him and im sorry that he was dissapointed. I didn't request for them to even sing the happy birthday song due to someone else being sung to and we witnessed they only had two people singing so I passed on that part. For me to have spent that much money and received the service we got was horrible. I even left her a tip because fair is fair on my end. Again I don't care how often I visit Red Lobsters if the service is not what it should be I will continue to let someone know. If this complaint doesn't reach the District Office I will be responding to them as well.

Went to Red Lobster for my mom's birthday 6/06/2012 in Beaufort, SC. Dad ordered Chicken on noodles, mom ordered the pick shrimp, and I got the admiral's plate. The scallops were okay, the shrimp had NO taste along with the strips of clam, I think it was clam, smelled off. Dad asked me how the fish was. I just stared at him going "This is fish?"

We have a nice seafood place down the road that catches it fresh. We'll be going there from now on so I do not have to buy another bottle of pepto.

i ordered crab legs and as i cracked my crab legs, here was 1/2 empty crab legs, flacid, rubber "meat" , i was so grossed out, i lost my appetite.  my sweet waitress tried to crack some of my crab legs for me, and she was confused about  how bad my order was. the manager acted as if i was bothering her. she never apololgized for my inconvinence(I cracked a pound of crab legs and had possibly 1/8 lb of crab meat). my son kept saying sorry for your terrible birthday

I dislike any type of seafood but my husband loves it. I have tried the steaks and they are lousy for the price.  But, the chicken, it use to actually be grilled and juicy and gave me a meal I could eat.  Now they have switched to some sickening frozen chicken in a bag with grill marks on them.  It is disgusting along with being injected with preservatives and salt it makes you gag.

I told my husband after having this happen three times ... sorry hon, we are no longer going to red lobster.  This chicken is sickening ....

Imagine you are losing many more customers like me ...

I celebrated my birthday this evening at Red Lobster and was treated to the following:  Salad and salad
dressing disappointing;  After a long wait my steamed lobster was passed to me with no comment that
the plate was VERY HOT......I burned my hands.  The lobster was overcooked and tough.  Instead of
a lovely dinner it became a stuggle between me and my lovely overcooked lobster.  I only order lobster
on my birthday (77 this year), and you can be sure I won't return to Red Lobster for my 78th get together
    with friends.

I ordered aa pork chop to day with mashed potatoes.    I eat at Red Lobster at least once a week and have eaten at this particular one for a long time.   I could not chew the pork chop and the potatoes were quite cold and hard.   I told my waitress but nothing was done about it.    I am very disappointed with this service.

In February went for my weekly meal. My order came back with overwarmed fries in a small amount. Server told me  that fries were all I recieved for order according to chef. Manger brought more. This has soured my weekly eating at your place. Help should not be running the place. Don't need anything except better service and less attitude with staff. Hattiesburg, Ms.

We ate at Red Lobster.   The waitress brought us our bill  and instead of just leaving the bill, she stood there until we paid her.   How rude is that?   Neither one of us were finished eating, but we felt like we were on display so we just quit paid the bill and left.   I have never in my life seen a waitress or waiter do that and we will not go back there.   I do agree with everyone that the quality of Red Lobster is going down hill.   This used to be my favorite place to eat but not anymore, plus paying over two dollars and fifty cents for tea is ridiculous.  Plus, our biscuits were cold and I continually had to ask for more when our basket was empty.  What a terrible dining experience.

heres what guest dont get every server can only have 4 tables at a time so just because you walk back and see empty tables doesnt mean we shouldnt be on a wait second if its a saturday and we are on a 45-60 minute wait the host cant just abandon the poduim to clean the restrooms because guest act like pigs now the kitchen sometimes the line is short or it is just a simple mistake but dont complain about a wait especially if you have never worked in a restaurant

On March 1, 2013 around 6:00 pm my wife and I decide to go to our favorite restaurant Red Lobster at 1515 West Ridge Rd Rochester, New York for dinner, but what we did not know was that we were not going to be able to eat and would be totally discriminated against after being seated.  After we was seated I witnessed four tables that came in after us was being served before we were even introduced to a waiter .I then asked for assistance from a young lady  that I noticed cleaning a table in front of me. She then informed the manager Brian he in turn came to the table introduced himself and offered a complimentary appetizer. The server then came over to apologized and said he didn’t realize he was the waiter for our table. He assured us that our food would be coming soon as Brian took our order. We waited about another 15-20 minutes as we watched more people being served and eating my wife and I then decided to ask to speak to the manager again he ( BRIAN )did not seem to care about our concerns and felt we should've been satisfied with the complimentary appetizer at that time. We were stricken with shock and I was so distraught that I lost my appetite.  We were so embarrassed and ashamed. It’s so sad that in this day and time people would still treat humans like this.  I will never be able to go to another Red Lobster and feel welcomed. As a former employee of Red Lobster I am disgraced to know people that discriminate work for such a great restaurant. Culture was the last thing on my mind, as the time went by I started looking around and realized that my wife and I were the only African Americans in that particular area of the restaurant.. It is unacceptable that we were treated in such way after waiting for so long. I will never return to the restaurant again and I will be speaking to my attorney about my rights. The offers below in not enough to erase the pain of discrimination nor will any amount of monies stop Racism however proper compensation is a sure way to let others know that it’s just not right to treat anyone different, we are all humans. It hurts to think that we won’t eat there anymore. This is what was offered On March 4 at 10:00am I spoke to Melissa to file a complaint who had the Director of operation Keith Morton call me at 12:15 pm on March 5th and offered me a $150.00 gift card. Then on March 5th I also got a call from Carol offering me a $200.00 gift cards to eat at a place that discriminated against us.

A gift card will not erase racism, nor will any amount of money take away the embarrassment you and your wife felt. However you should be compensated as well as the employees should be dismissed for their behoviors. It's 2013 and money and credit cards still has the same purchase value no matter who it comes from. Keep your head up Andre.  As a wise man once told me the unjust will not prosper. God be with you!

    keep it real
Why do black people confuse bad service with discrimination. To me it seems someone with a chip on their shoulder got bad service. By the way my skin is dark.

    been there
If you people only knew where are  your food actually came from at RL you would never eat there again, that is if you were at all concerned with child labor. Red lobster deports all the jobs they can to southeast asia to keep cost low. They are responsible, as well as our economy, for helping to kill our oceans. They treat their employees as if they are worthless, let people sexually harass at will. The management only cares about their bonuses and it really shows. No wonder there are all these complaints but it doesn't matter to darden, they just do whatever they want. They are the beast.

Very disappointed with the Red Lobster on Academy in Colorado Springs. It was drab, no atmosphere, the blueberry dressing nearly took my breath away with the amount of vinegar. Whatever they tried to cook the calamari with stayed with me for hours and made me feel nauseous. the Mahi Mahi was over cooked and the shrimp burnt on sticks. We will not go there ever again. Red Lobster it's time to shape up or ship out of the restaurant business. Sorry
