Voice on the other end announces itself as Rachel from Card Services, informing me that she is NOT calling me regarding my current credit card, however, to get a competitive low interst card to hit #9 to speak with a representative. Since this is the only way to talk to a LIVE person (questionable there as well), I hit 9 ... when the rep comes on, I inform them that this is a DoNotCall # and could they get me removed from their dialings. They always say the same scripted remark ... "so you are not calling to get information on competitive credit card rates?", and when I say NO, and restate my request, I get a varied # of responses from just hanging up to down right nasty and rude. Many of them just laugh and say, "then why did you dial 9?. Please help!

Tell them to write down a 6 digit number you give them. After they read it back to you, tell them they now have your FBI badge number. I guess they won't call again.

I get them on home phone, cell - all the time. Why won't the government do something about this.  I  pay for cell minutes.  Call answering lists an 877 number - why can't it be traced to stop it?

According to FTC, the people behind all this are: Jeanie B. Robertson, Brook Robertson, Ivan X. Estrella, Jamie M. Hawley, Kimberly Nelson, Paige Dent, Alexander J. Dent, Micha S. Romano, and Ashley M. Westbrook

If enough people call them, maybe they will stop.

I got through to someone and let them get halfway through the spiel, then I started swearing like a sailor and calling her nasty names.  she kept saying hey hey hey, and I told her what she was doing was illegal and if they kept calling, they were going to get more of the same language.

Robot called like it was one of my credit card companies.  All they want is to hook you up with credit service.

You can do something. File an FCC complaint at:
    http://www.fcc.gov/complaints

    The phone number is from
    Allegiance Telecom of Florida
    8230 E Broadway Avenue
    Tampa, FL 33619-1310

The are a holding company for
    American Phone Services Corp.
    308 Maxwell Road, Suite 100
    Alpharetta, GA 30009-2062

Found this info on Florida Service Commission site(link below)
TJ212 is FSC code for Allegiance and it lists American as the owner.

Got a call from Rachel at card svs today, one of many.  Usually, I say don't call anymore and they just hang up and call again, this time I punched #9 and got a young man, when I asked him not to call anymore, he got a nasty attitude.  He said "why, are we bothering you"?  I angered him just enough he had to keep insulting me when I said
I would report him, he said "what you gonna do, report me to the police, the FBI and tell them you are 72 years old and sickly, I can call all I want to B----".    I said enough to get him to boiling and then "I" hung up on him,

I plan to make a name calling game out of this until they take me off the list.  They can stop them, they can't stop me.

These people have been calling me for FIVE YEARS, most recently on my cell.  As others have noted, federal and state Do Not Call is useless.  Comcast told me to go to my local police department and file a criminal complaint for phone harrassment.  That's the next step.  If everyone does this, maybe it will do some good.

I thought to google Rachel and find a way to stop her. Looks like we're all in the same boat. I get a call at least every other day. Today I finally hit 9 and spoke with a rep who identified himself as Marcus. When I asked to be removed from their calling list he replied, "that is not an option." And the SLAMMED the phone down in my ear. I'm ticked off now.

I will see how it goes by pressing 9 in the future and wasting the reps' time. Am also thinking of a nasty sounding whistle or noise maker to end my statment. Now THAT gives me some pleasure.

I pressed "1" & asked to speak to Rachel.  I then asked the
smarty guy for his phone number & he told me he didn't have to give
it to me.  We have repeatedly asked to be removed from the calling
list. He also called me a "ho".  SOMETHING NEEDS TO STOP THEM!!!

"titus" has provided us with a FTC document
naming the following as responsible parties,
    Jeanie B. Robertson
    Brook Robertson
    Ivan X. Estrella
    Jamie M. Hawley
    Kimberly Nelson
    Paige Dent
    Alexander J. Dent
    Micha S. Romano
    Ashley M. Westbrook
the document also provides several LLC's (Part of the collection from a lawsuit problem)
JPM Accelerated Services Inc., a Florida corporation
IXE Accelerated Financial Centers, LLC Etc....
all of them located in Florida.
Why can't we get help tracking down the phone numbers and the addresses of these businesses as well as the people that run them and start a telephone and letter campaign in protest, without incurring legal problems ourselves?

Here is the phone number for these scam artists: 888-878-1014. If you politely ask to speak to Rachel because you have additional information for her, you can get to these folks and let them have it!

They hang up everytime even if I act like I want to lower my interest rate.
The phone number is usually different too. Maybe they are spoofing the caller ID. Today it was from 702-997-9999

I'm going to file a complaint with the FTC. But it doesn't seem like it is useful as they take no direct action as a result of filing a complaint.

"Rachel" calls me every day.  I have asked and asked to be removed from the call list by hitting "3" - does not work.  Today I acted like I was interested and then told them to stop calling.  They hung up on me after saying something I could not understand.  HOW DO WE GET THIS STOPPED?  DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE?  I AM ON THE DNC LIST.  THIS IS NOT LEGAL.

They call us once a week or so and we DON"T HAVE A CREDIT CARD. Today I pressed *9* and when the customer rep came on I asked to be taken off the list. The guy said "F*** you ma'am" and hung up. Are people really giving these folks their credit card numbers and other identifiers! Gee!

It's November 2011 and Rachel, Sarah, Heather and a host of other Robocaling neophytes are still at it claiming they are from "Card Services" wanting to help lower interests rates. Despite being on the DO NOT CALL LIST, this does not deter them. In fact, I wonder if they use the DO NOT CALL LIST to target people. This is a scam pure and simple - otherwise, why would they spoof the callerid? One time I played along with them to see if I could get some identifying information - it wasn't easy. I did actually get to speak to someone, but when I started asking questions, he hung up. The call back number shown in CallerId is always bogus and it is hard for the average citizen to identify these people. However, perhaps unbeknownst to these crooks, can identify MagicJack, Skype, and other obfuscating methods of concealing identity.  The only way action is going to occur is if enough citizens protest to their Attorney General and elected representatives.  More is needed than just another law - enforcement of existing laws would be a big step forward. But, perhaps the FCC needs to reign in the MagicJack and others to prevent them being used so true identity can be concealed.

*The FTC and/or the government is NOT going to do or pass any
      legislation that has any teeth!
*I have even been called a "[***]" when stating I was on "the
      Do Not Call" list.

*Forget the Do Not Call Agency!
*Whoever set up that "program" had to be incredibly naive
      and/or just plain stupid!
      *Registering is of no avail!!!
      * 1) Why would the DNA think that a telemarketer is going
to bother calling to see who is registered in the first place?
      * 2) For a fee of $??? "telemarketer/whoever" can "subscribe"
and "receive a list of those registered with the DNC agency"
--and I presume the "subscriber" would request names within
      a geographic location?
      * 3) IF anyone/business or otherwise did pay for a list why
would the DNC ASSUME the "subscriber" would check in every
30-days to verify the names on the list?
      * 4) AND if anyone/business did "subscribe" and pay -
--what is to say the "subscriber" did not turn around and re-sell
      the list to a telemarketer/scammer?
*Why pay when one can use a phone book and set up auto/robo
      calls that way?
      *DUH-H-H-H-H!!!!!!!!!!!
*I have a small "piercing alarm" and if "live" person does answer -
      *I LET THEM HAVE IT!!!
      *Doesn't stop the calls -
*BUT IT SURE GIVES ME A LOT OF SATISFACTION!
