Voice on the other end announces itself as Rachel from Card Services, informing me that she is NOT calling me regarding my current credit card, however, to get a competitive low interst card to hit #9 to speak with a representative. Since this is the only way to talk to a LIVE person (questionable there as well), I hit 9 ... when the rep comes on, I inform them that this is a DoNotCall # and could they get me removed from their dialings. They always say the same scripted remark ... "so you are not calling to get information on competitive credit card rates?", and when I say NO, and restate my request, I get a varied # of responses from just hanging up to down right nasty and rude. Many of them just laugh and say, "then why did you dial 9?. Please help!

They offer #3 to discontnue, but they ignore it.  They say press #1 to speak to someone. When you get someone, and tell them to not call, they don't respond, they just ignore you. There has to be some way to get this stopped!

I have probably received 100 phone calls from "Rachel" and have always hung up.  Until I rread other peoples comments I didn't realize I could call dial 9 and actually talk to someone.  All my phone # are on the national registry but I have noticed i am getting more and more unwanted calls.  My guess is there are no teeth behind the registry.  Anyway I am thinking about seeing if I have enough info to file an FCC complaint.  I got to do something as it waste my time.

      Granny Gruntz replies to Spike
*The FTC and/or the government is NOT going to do or pass any
      legislation that has any teeth!
*I have even been called a "[***]" when stating I was on "the
      Do Not Call" list.

*Forget the Do Not Call Agency!
*Whoever set up that "program" had to be incredibly naive
      and/or just plain stupid!
      *Registering is of no avail!!!
      * 1) Why would the DNA think that a telemarketer is going
to bother calling to see who is registered in the first place?
      * 2) For a fee of $??? "telemarketer/whoever" can "subscribe"
and "receive a list of those registered with the DNC agency"
--and I presume the "subscriber" would request names within
      a geographic location?
      * 3) IF anyone/business or otherwise did pay for a list why
would the DNC ASSUME the "subscriber" would check in every
30-days to verify the names on the list?
      * 4) AND if anyone/business did "subscribe" and pay -
--what is to say the "subscriber" did not turn around and re-sell
      the list to a telemarketer/scammer?
*Why pay when one can use a phone book and set up auto/robo
      calls that way?
      *DUH-H-H-H-H!!!!!!!!!!!
*I have a small "piercing alarm" and if "live" person does answer -
      *I LET THEM HAVE IT!!!
      *Doesn't stop the calls -
*BUT IT SURE GIVES ME A LOT OF SATISFACTION!

I get calls from these [***] every other day, sometimes twice a day. Nothing helps to stop the calls. I have filed a compliant with the FCC but that has proven to be useless. I even have a "file number" and when I call to report another call they just tell me the investigators look for "patterns", etc. I have yet to speak to someone who is actually working on tracking down these scammers. Do not tell me that with todays technology that they cannot be tracked, found and shut down for their actions. I have tried pressing 3 to be removed from the list, I have tried playing along and when you will not give them your credit card number they become angry, call you fowl names and hang up, I have tried blowing a loud whistle and even an air horn to no avail. I have even had repeated calls back from then after I blew a whistle saying they know where I live.  I have been threatened and called various names. Phone company doesnt seem to care much as well. I just want to be left alone and I refuse to change my phone number. What will it take to bring down these criminals????

Yes, Rachel is a sweetheart!  I have had numerous calls from Credit Call Services.....and finally took the time to talk to the rep.  After asking why they needed my name and I believe, phone number, since they called me, I was told they were "experiencing severe weather" and their data bank was not accessible at that time.  So, I went on to say that yes, I had more than $3000 in debt (all the while talking v-e-r-y slow and drawn out and asking them to repeat themselves numerous times).  Told them my name was "scam"....again, very husky voice and taking 4-5 seconds to get that out.  The man then asked me to "spell that please"...........so I did, again, if an extremely slow and husky voice.  After a pause, he said, "is that like the word scam?"  When I said, yep, you got that right and you should be really familiar with the word.  He shared a few choice adjectives about me being an undesirable female.  And, then, he disconnected abruptly.

Guess he didn't like his time wasted any more than the rest of us do!...go figure.

Buy an air horn and when the dormitory pleasure companion calls, push 9.  When the vomit muncher on the other end answers, give'm a piece of your horn.  If needed, keep one by a couple of phones, then see if they continue to call, if so, they haven't heard enough from you.

I receive multiple calls from "Rachel" every week, including on my cell phone now.  Since I cannot get them to stop, and the government is useless, I have taken to blowing a whistle in their ears as long and as loud as I can.  They may keep calling but I feel a heck of a lot better each time I blow out their eardrums!  Maybe if everyone else does this, they won't have any employees left.

I am getting a call everyday from Rachel on our home phone and both cell phones.  Once I tried to get more info on their scam and told them I am in debt for 50 grand (I have no debt) thinking that if they sent me info I would get an address and take it to the police for a restraining order against them.  They do high pressure sales and will not send you anything. There has to be a way to get them to stop - it is a different number everyday and you cannot call them back.  Why can't the government stop them?

Here's an idea . . . every time they call, get to a human rep and give a false credit card number and name.  If they spent all their time with false numbers, it seems like it wouldn't be worth it for them to continue the scam.  It might take a while, but false numbers would do them no good, and they might even decide not to bother with phone numbers who consistently gave the false info.  What do you think ?

I have received dozens of call from these scum bags, and nicely asking to be taken off their call list doesn't phase them.  After receiving the last call I connected through to their "representative" and gave him my best round of sailors profanity at the top of my lungs.  I felt better at least. However, within 30 seconds of hanging up I received another call from the same guy who said "I know where you live and I'm going to come in the middle of the night and blow your house up" I wish I had been able to record it. This really is beyond a "do not call" violation.  I've reported it to the FTC and maybe this will get some attention.

From the time of morning on the clock that they can start calling till the time of bedtime on the clock that they have to stop card services calls.  I have 4 different phone numbers and times of day that "Rachael" calls.  We haven't had credit cards for at least 10 years.  We also are on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  All recordings are a little different as far as promts go to choose from.  To day I got to talk to a real female voice and seemed bothered to have to answer the phone with a big SIGH!! From Her!!!!!  I told her to stop with the harrassement and got the phone slammed in my ear.
    GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

I encourage anyone being called by these pests to immediately file a complaint with your federal government: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2

Only when this agency is overwhelmed with complaints for these pests will action be taken....maybe.

On 12/5/2011 the US Dept of Justice filed an action on behalf of the FTC against Roy M. Cox, Jr of California alleging that he is responsible for all of the Rachael calls.  Google him and mybe give him a call or two.

I thought this was only happening to me, and after months of aggravation I google "Rachael from Card Services"  and this is where I landed.  There has to be something  we can do to stop this!  If you figure it out let me know I"m behind the "Rachael Lynching"

The next time Rachel calls I'm calling Fairpoint my phone company and tell them if I get one more robo call I'm going to cancel there service.  They are not protecting me or my right to privacy.  I've been looking for a reason to just use my cell phone and save money and this seems as good as a reason as any.
