This company is owned by Carl Perkins and Duane Brinson under the name PBH LLC or Perkins Brinson Ho. They created the toolbars discussed here: http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=28710 and profited greatly. They may be at it again with this: http://www.performancemediaplacement.com/OnlineDemo.asp

The sales people they currently employ sell a new type of local advertising that has been reported as fraudulent. Here is a post on some of the things they promise: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdWords ... 79abadae6&hl=en.

Both Perkins and Brinson worked for Search Initiatives (Now Elocal, Elocallistings, Elocalplumbers, etc.) until they were both "let go" for unknown reasons when the company formed Elocal. http://web.archive.org/web/20070621061940/htt ... om/company.html

Do not be fooled by promises of "exclusivity", 24/7 first page placement, unlimited clicks and other false claims. The company has been known to break many contracts and forces employees to lie. If they do not lie to customers they are fired.

Here are just a couple of the many URL's the company uses:
premiumlocallistings.com
performancelocallistings.com
performancemediaplacement.com
pl411.com
pll411.com
pll-orange.com
premierlocallistings.com
g2411.com

Please do your research before doing any business with this company.

Google is helping to protect businesses who buy Adwords marketing through third parties. They require all third parties to adhere to strict guidelines such as 100% transparency, not making false or misleading claims and the account setup requirements. What does this mean for the business owner using a third party for Adwords management?

    * Google requires these third parties to provide the Adwords customer ID to all business owners: "It's important for advertisers to have the ability to contact Google directly with concerns about a third-party partner. To allow Google to properly investigate and assist the advertiser, we require that you provide your customers with the customer IDs for their AdWords or AdWords Express accounts when requested."
    * Third parties "...must provide your customers with monthly performance reports that include data on costs, clicks, and impressions at the Google advertising account level. When sharing Google advertising cost data with customers, report the exact amount charged by Google, exclusive of any fees that you charge."
    * Management fees must be disclosed: "Third parties often charge a management fee for the valuable services they provide, and end-advertisers should know if they are going to be charged these fees. If you charge a management fee (separate from the cost of AdWords or AdWords Express), let customers know. At a minimum, inform new customers in writing before each first sale and disclose the existence of this fee on customer invoices."

False claims are described by Google as:
    * claiming false affiliation with Google
    * guaranteeing top placement on Google
    * claiming that ads will appear in Google Search at all times
    * representing free Google products as pay-for-insertion products
    * making false statements about how AdWords costs are calculated
    * offering unlimited clicks

My opinion is every person NEEDS access to the google adwords account. Access to an account will show how much was actually spent on the advertising, the position of the ads and frequency of ads being shown. If the company does not want to provide report access to an account, request the "Adwords Customer ID" and contact Google directly, they will provide all the information you want.

    * Cost per click and total monthly spend on Adwords.
    * Management fees the company charges.

My company was contacted by Performance media marketing in October 2016 with an offer to place my web search adwords ad at either 1.5 - 2 listed position on Google.
I was told how the billing and services would be handled. The billing offered was $1000.00 for setup and $700/ mo to be listed in Rancho Santa Margarita to which I said I wanted the billing to be done differently i.e. 500 for two months with $700.00 each month but since we we're moving into a slower time I didn't want to start the campaign until December 1st .
I was told I would not get billed until December as the services were to begin on December 1st.
My services did begin on December 1st as planed however my ads were not tracking in the positions I was guaranteed and performance was supposed to attach a tracking phone number to the ad starting Dec. 1st so we could track performance. The tracking number was not attached until January 2017 after I asked why it wasn't attached.
To Date, we have received 4 calls off ads all from January forward. Although I'm $1900.0 deep into the services and I've Generated "0" revenue from this source.
I did ask to have the campaign started in December with Wil Valencia's promise that the ad would run and place well.
So far I'm getting nothing for $1900.00 and I'm feeling like it's either a scam or a poorly performing company. I was told I had to run the ad for two months minimum to see results, however an ad that places well should be effective the moment it runs. The problem is... it was not placing well.
I'm hoping this will change but for now....IT'S NOT PAYING OFF!!!

Btw, my company is a 5 Star rated company on most trackable sources so it's not that I don't have a marketable product!

I own a deli/market/liquor store  and they had been calling me everyday for months I even told them to STOP, finally I when I begged and begged them to get taken off the list they told me I had to buy a Google Plus Program, and they would give me a Google Map listing free with it.  I didn't think Google charged for the map listing, so i questioned him and he told me that they don't charge for a listing but those never show up in the search results.  I have to buy a premiuim package this is teh 2nd spot on Google's page 1 for up to 7 keywords, and that Google will stop calling after that.  FINE! i paid.. but they charged my card $1400 !!!!  I was told that was for first and last month...   NOW im really mad,   then I call Google and find out that they are NOT Google, So I call back the rep there and yelled at him for the charge on my card, yelled at him for lying "you are NOT Google, told him I wanted my money back and then he said "i'm sorry Google does not and will not give you a refund.... Then after so much more crap they told me they will put me on the top page for the pay per click ads with my money , unlimited clicks...    So that whole month goes by and my business stay's the same...I didn't think it would bring in a huge amount of people.   SO... months over...  i lost $1400 then   BAM i get another charge $700, I call up and they said that's for my google+  listing and it's the last charge.

I don' t know why this guy Carl say's he's Google and how they can charge people for a listing that's free..... or .......how they use adwords to get out of it...   I found out from the rep there that they only spent $100 of my $1400 on actual clicks  so they made 2100 for creating a googlel+ and running an AdWords campaign with $100 of my $2100 dollars. I looked them up they ARE a certified partner of Google (not actually Google like they say) I can't believe Google would allow / trust them to represent them in anyway.

Sorry Google you just lost major points with my business and myself for conducting business with Carl Perkins.  This guys lies like a snake in the grass.  Did you know they did a survey at Harvard on how many people wake up in the morning and tell themselves they are going to lie today vs. other people that don't....   so interesting

We were with this company for more than 2 months and ended up getting about 54 clicks to my website, and the companies excuse was that they needed more time to get a "feel" for what people in our area were searching for when it comes to automotive repair. If I could give them no stars, I would. Then the arrogant "---" that followed up with me the other day, basically said, "your business doesn't make a difference on my paycheck"
I had very good results in 30 days with Adwords Express, is a matter of fact, over 750 clicks to my website. They wanted me to send them an  adwords report for what Google was doing. I thought they were the professionals!!! They are after all "Google Partners" Find someone else. They really don't care about you.
