I was contacted by etourandtravel offering me also a Mexico vacation package and this was actually why I responded to them, because I was interested to go to Mexico and to relax on the beach, last year I was in Cuba for 7 Day's and the package was $ 1450.00 all included for me and my wife.

Aniway's a lady called me after few day"s and started to talk about orlando and daytona I told her that I was looking for Mexiko but she managed to convince me that the other package is better,on the end of our conversation she asked me for my CC # and I gave it to her thinking that they are not going to charge me until I see the DVD.

Few day's later I got the DVD and I was not very much impressed,so I send them an Email to cancel the package, this was only 7 day's later, they respond to me that they can not cancel it via Email!!!??? why? They want to talk with me I knew if I talk to them they will try to convince me again,I told them if they want to talk with me they can call me in canada and whe will talk,They never responded to that.

Well now the 15 day's cancellation time frame is past and I am charged $498.00 and I can not do anything about it.I am not going to this trip I am not getting my money back,I think I did cancel on time but they does not accept Email cancelation,I dont know what to do.I dont know how is it possible to have companies like this, somebody should shut them down because this what they are doing is not human,I hope somebody will break their neck and I wish them to get the same back what they did to us but 1000 times worser.

THIS DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A COMPLAINT TO ME. IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU FAILED TO CANCEL THE PACKAGE YOUR SELF SO ITS NOT THE COMPANIES FAULT. YOU KNEW YOU HAD 15 DAYS TO CANCEL BY PHONE, NOT BY EMAIL. SO WHY YOU DID NOT CALL TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK? AND IF ITS TO LATE TO CANCEL YOU COULD STILL USE THE VACATION OR SELL IT ON EBAY AND MAKE 2XS YOU MONEY.

Comment to Jay.  I can understand why you might think this individual would have received their money back had they phoned instead of e-mailed.  But the fact of the matter is, my fiancee and I were also defrauded by the same company who assured us that even though our credit card would be charged immediately for a portion of the flight costs, we could back out and receive our money back if we were not completely satisfied with the entire arrangement, which we were to receive days later along with the DVD.  Even at first glance, the DVD looked like a cheap production, then we played it only to see less detail than a typical ad on TV (nothing to do with the trip WE would be taking), after which we looked at the itinerary, which would give you a headache just trying figure out how it would be possibly work given there was absolutely no room for error.  So we realized by this time that we were screwed, but attempted to call anyway to find out that, sure enough, the person we were to call did not exist, nor did the ID# and Security# they provided for us during the initial call.  You guessed it. . . We tried to cancel well within the 15 days, and there was absolutely nothing we could do.  The biggest lesson we've learned from this; If you have won something fair & square, logically you should not have to pay anything.  Oh, by the way, I later called in to a radio show that focussed on the telephone and internet fraud situation, and a detective later called in and provided a crystal clear piece of advice. If you are told that you have WON something, and all you have to do is pay even the smallest amount of money (even as little as $1.00 for shipping) in advance for the promise of something bigger, it is, with no exceptions, a SCAM.

Yes, this is the same person as above.  I failed to mention, for the sake of clarification, that eTourAndTravel have at least two methods (that I know of) of taking advantage of you.  One is to call and offer a trip for a really great deal, and the other is in response to you having filled out a ballot at places like a fair, craft show, bridal show etc..  The end result, however, is the same all the way around.  Your itinerary will cause your head to spin, plus you will be locked into an agreement to attend time-share meetings at each location which will eat up a good chunk of your so-called vacation (and believe me, no one in their right mind would look at your package and buy it from you at any cost, so you're stuck with it). I so wish everyone could be made aware of this company, because they've even called me 3 times in the last couple of months, attempting to sell me on another fantastic offer, even though they ripped us off for approximately $700.00 a year or so ago.  Oh, I can't believe I almost forgot this.  About 4 months ago, our friends came over doing their happy dance (literally) because they were just informed by phone that they had won a trip, and from what they were describing, it sounded all too familiar, so of course, we asked more questions, and once again~eTours.  Thank God they hadn't yet given their CC# as eTours were supposed to call our friends back shortly to get the ball rolling.  So I assured them that this was a scam, and it took a lot of convicing (believe it or not, eTours are very good at what they do), but they went back home, and before they were to refuse the trip upon eTours call, they checked the Better Business Bureau and, of course, one less couple to be victimized.  We felt bad for bursting their bubble, but at least we were able to save them the anguish.  One can only imagine how many new fraud victims they've added to their list.  SO I REPEAT; eTourAndTravelL ARE 100% SCAMMERS WITH NO EXCEPTIONS!  And at the rate they seem to be calling in the last couple of months, I'd be willing to bet someone you know is definitely gonna be taken soon, whether it be here in Canada or the States (and I should mention it appears they'll be taking a lot more than the $700.00 we got taken for).  So you would wise to send a nice broadcast e-mail to anyone you care for, work with etc.. because it would seem they're going through the entire phone book.

first of all, you the comsumer were the ones that signed up for the 2 free tickets on the internet. All the company was trying to do is offer you an exceptional vacation at a discounted promotional rate. Apparently, you have never been on a vacation, because if you had, you would have known that you had to do a presentation of their resort to be discounted 1600.00 of the cost of the vacation. Also, I don't know where you obtain you information about the time of the tour as my family was done in 60 minutes. Maybe of you were man enough, all you had to do was tell them that you were not interested. It makes me so angry in the ignorance of consumers like you that don't follow guidelines and as a result get angry for your own stupidity and start bashing reputable companies like Etourand travel. If you were smart, all you needed to do is call your credit card company and they would have disputed your charge. Plus Etourandtravel by law as any travel agency have to give you 15 days to review vacation! SHAME ON YOU!!! You and your family probally never have and never will go on vacation!!!!!!!!!

I received a phone call from them and I give them my credit card and after a few days I regretted so on monday I did call over there to cancel and I wait for a few days and I did receive a credit. So that compagnie to me is very legit et if you could cancel is certainly because you didn't call them. I'm french person and I didn't have any problem. So, before you writte something bad about a compagnie you should think twice before you do so.

I received a call from etourandtravel and the girl was very convincing usually I alway's hang up before the personn finish but not this time. I did lesson and she convince me to that wonderfull trip to universal studio that was a big deal and I did give them my credit card and after a few hours later I start to think that it was a scamed so I read on they internet what you did say about that company was scaring for me and I couldn't do nothing before monday so I say to myself that I did really loose that money. So, on monday I call over there and a guy answer the phone he was really nice and I explain that I want to cancel et after a few days I did receive the money back in my credit card so that company to me is a right and if you couldn't cancel it's certainly because you didn't do what you were suppose to do. so, if I do need someday them if will certainly call them. you should be ashame of you before you start bashing that company. I'm french too and I have no problem to have my credit back.if, someone want a discount for a trip you call them and you certainly will have a nice vacation. I will someday call them if I need too.

    Hi Sylvie Didon,

Did you receive your vacation package info via mail before you phone them to cancel the vacation package?
I phoned them and tried to cancel the package; the girl said that she can't cancel my vacation package because she doesn't have my account number.  The account number will be in the package therefore, she told me to phone when i received the package from them.

I was just contacted by this company wanting to give the same trip 398 in Orlando, Daytona and I told them I would have to research them on the internet first and boy, am I glad I did that! They told me it was a one time offer and I couldn't call back or talk to my husband first so I told them no thanks and after reading complaint after complaint, I'm so glad I handled it the way I did. Thanks for all the posting---at least you helped me!

Thank you everyone for your comments. This company called me saying they spoke to my wife, she was a good negotiator and we won a prize and all we have to pay is $398. While I was speaking to them, I decided to get online and gather some information about them. Luckily, I came across this thread and read all of the complaints. Thank you everyone! I hung up the phone and that is that.

As Rita said, "Thanks for all the posting---at least you helped me!"

I couldn't disagree more. I have been to Florida several times on vacation and this did sound like a good deal but it's not. I will not recommend this option for anyone going on a vacation (DO NOT BUY YOU’RE VACATION THRU etourandtravel). When you read the small print on the “package” things are not included.
Example: I told the person that sold me the package that I had three kids and would need separate rooms, they reply no problem. Now when I tried to book a room all the rooms in the package where 1 bedroom with two beds, when I called they told me the upgrade would cost me an additional $40.00 per night and that I had to pay this amount to them.... For the car the same thing. The star tickets they offer for universal studios- read the fine print- YOU WON’T GET THEM UNTIL YOU SIT DOWN FOR THE 90 MIN. SEMINAR ON TIME SHARE BUYING.
This is not a cheap vacation as they sell it when you're talking with them. Make sure if you are going to schedule anything thru etourandtravel you are AWARE of this and that you only have 15 days (counting weekends) to cancel, otherwise you're stuck with a package that is NOT WHAT THEY'RE SELLING YOU. I've had many conversations with them and they won't budge, they're ridiculous and unaccommodating. I was once told they could not cancel my reservation because the “computer” wouldn’t allow them. If they way you want to start your vacation is arguing with customer service about reservations and where you want to stay, than by all means book with etourandtravel - they’re excellent at being difficult and unhelpful. If you want to have a smooth vacation starting with the reservations call the hotels yourself, you will definitely get a better start and better deal because at the end you will know for sure what you’re spending (no hidden fees and exclusions). Very dissatisfied with etourandtravel services- NOT WORTH IT.

Probably the reason why I didn't have any problem to cancel was because the lady call me on friday and after I read about the complaint I decided then to cancel soon as possible and that's what I did. So, I guess I was just lucky because somme of you did help me and thank you. The guy was so nice he did everything he could to convince me to keep that deal. But, even if he was going to give me more days for the same price I did cancel and there was nothing he could say to convince me otherwise. I guess I was very lucky. I just hope the people take the time to check very carefully before giving is credit card. After that happened I did have the choice to cancel my number because for a few months I saw things I never buy so be very carefull everyone and I don't understand how they stay open.

Thank you again and be all very carefull specially on the phone...we never know who is behind talking to you.

i just received a call from etourandtravel about a vacation to orlando and daytona for 398.00 includes hotel, car rental for 5. and 2 free passes to disney theme park choice of two parks. i told the lady its my sons money. me and him has saved every quater, dime, nickle and penny and birthday money to go. and we have 700.00 dollars. i almost took the trip until the agent gave me a website to go to and i forgot to type in a couple words and this site came up. I started to read this info to the agent that was on the line, she stopped me in the middle and said i dont know where that came from but its not our site. i told her that i would have to talk to my husband about it first and call her back. she put me on hold and offered it to me for 289.00 per package. i told her i cant make any decision without me husband. but u can bet when she calls me tomoorow i am going to pull out all these questions that i have read about.  if anyone has any other information to offer before speaking to them again  PLEASE let me know. or if anyone has went through a vacation package that they recommend please let us know..

We used etour twice paid 99.00 the first year paid 199.00 the second both times we paid extra 40.00 a day to upgrade to a 3 bdrm  we recieve disney tickets the day we arrive with the package we picked up upon arrival at the  welcome center. We had stayed 6 days and 5 nights in Orlando.  We really had a great time in Fantasy II condos. Beautiful time for my family. When you have a little money do the 90mins.  And then when you have alot of money you don't have to be bothered. But when you get ready to buy a package always negotiate and confirm it with a manager .  And always upgrade always upgrade and confirm again with a day manager and a night manager.  Sounds like it is within your budget because Disney is ver expensive!!!!

    Joshua-

Let me be frank with you. I think you are just an employee or someone making trouble here. You are not a sincere poster. First of all, I think (by looking at your name) you are a recent generation. In your twenties.
YOU do not spend your money on these types of things because you cannot afford them. So your posting is irrelavent. And....maybe that....you are an employee who probably does well in his job only because you are one of the 'plants' these telemarketing/sales places use to encourage other telemarketers. In other words you get paid to look like you are productive with phony inbound calls and phony outbound calls. Yes, many telemarketers are not aware that the main 'hi producers' in the call rooms are 'plants'. Have a nice day.
