Just got a call from them saying they could save on our electric bill and to press 2 to be added to the Do Not Call list.

No, we're already on that list and they are supposed to honor it. I filed a complaint to the Do Not Call people.

I work in the telecommunications industry and know people that work for Vitelity.  The problems and issues raised in these posts have nothing to do with Vitelity.  The company is a telecommunications wholesaler which means that they sell phone services to a variety of companies.  The companies that buy these services are the companies that your complaints should be aimed at.  Vitelity is the number that shows up on caller id because that is where the number originates from.  Being upset with Vitelity for these issues is like being upset with Sony because wal-mart sold you a television they broke and put on their shelf.

They might not have nothing to do with the phone calls but they enable the tea bags that make the calls. The scum that are making the calls could be stopped if Vitelity wanted to so they are just a guilty as the callers.

Rec'd a hang up call from Vitelity llc.... I think if I ever do answer it and they start asking any questions, I'll just give them all bogus information. It's only a matter of months til I move and disconnect this number anyway,so I may as well have some fun letting them enter all my fake info into their computer and then try to do something with it. "Yes, all six of us who live here have diabetes." "Oh, you want my debit card info? OK, the account number is 987654321987." "A free cruise? Great! My name is Bea
    A. Frade, and my address is ..." "I owe money? OK ....I'll send that check out tonight. Where do I send it?"

I have received multiple phone calls on my mamas home phone a number I have not used in 20 years they finally left a message today saying they had a bad check from a pay day lender and that if I did not call them back today I would be arrested tomorrow. The thing that worried the most is that they had the last 4 digits of mu SS #. I seen on the caller ID that the same number showed up 3 times as unknown caller then the name that left the message was Vitelity LLC. I called my bank to make sure no checks had been sent through and was told by them it is a scam and not to give them any type of info. I told them I had no intentions of even answering the phone if or should I say when they call back. Here is the Number they are using 646-871-3777. Do yourself a favor do not give these scum bags a cent. I thought about telling them I would only pay them in person and see if they would give me there address just for laughs.

Just got a call for my wife's maiden name  on my cell phone saying there was a payday loan made that we "purposely" defrauded and we could be arrested if we don't pay right away.  This was a loan made before we were even together so forget how they got MY number.  The wife being hysterical called right away and gave all her information including credit card info.  I then did a search and this is just a collection agency  http://www.hearshekempllc.com/.  We then called the bank account that she had at that time and they said she didn't have any outstanding debts.  Right away we canceled the credit card she used, but now they know where we live and stuff.  Just a future warning never give out info without doing research first.  In fact don't call angry or frustrated that is when people start making mistakes.  Incoming call was from 646-871-3777 with a return call to (877) 787-4717 extension 301.

I have been receiving calls from Vitelity LLC for some time now.  The number 704-817-3725.  When I answer the phone they either hang up or start launching into something I have never requested and know nothing about.  For some reason the FCC refuses to do anything about it.  Previously, there was a place in Colorado that was doing the same thing with another name.  I wrote to the Sheriff of the small town and told him what was happening to me.  I also treatened a class action law suit and I received one more call and then the calls stopped all together.

If a user of VoIP such as Vitelity has set their CID, is there a way to determine what carrier they are using?

For example, Vitelity and other VoIP cariiers are not only used by legitimate businesses, but also by numerous overseas scammers.  These scam customers ignore Do Not Call requests, and often engage in illegal phone harassment and robocalling.  FTC also appears to be uf limited value in dealing with this problem, as these scam users often use false names and change numbers frequently.

The VoIP carriers are enabling the creation of this illegal phone harassment problem.

Is there a way to quickly check phone numbers against blocks of phone numbers (area code/exchange lists?)  reserved to different carriers in order to determine which carrier to push back harassment complaints against?

I repeatedly keep getting calls from Vitelity LLC as well. In the past they've called at least two times a day asking to speak with the "oldest female in the household to take a survey". Today I asked to be put on the "Do Not Call" list.  The lady said "Well, we don't really have a 'do not call' list, because we are not a telemarketer. When will the oldest female in the house be home? I need to know a good time to call."

Then I said, "There is NO good time to call. We want you to *stop*calling us. Your company has been calling us 2 and 3 times a day."

To which she replied "No maam. There is no way we'd call you that many times in one day. When would be a good time to call?" (So in essence, she just called me a liar.)

I repeated "There IS no good time to call. Please stop calling this number."

She said "Well, we really need to speak with the oldest female in the home so that I can confirm that you no longer wish us to call you. When would be a good time to call?

WTF?? I got frustrated at this point, and I ended it with "Thank you for your time, but do not call us back." and I hung up.  I am so frustrated with this company!
