    Received a call from (717) 685-2475
PA, USA and they left a message about reducing electrical rates. Asking you to press 2  if you are interested. I received a similar about a debt last year asking you to press 2 to speak to a customer rep. The previous call would switch your telephone service. These numbers are leased by a telecommunications service. These are bogus firms, telemarkters or scam artists. Never reveal any information to unknown callers.

I am receiving calls from these two numbers (usually back-to-back):
    (810) 213-6594
    (810) 213-1018

After finding these numbers on this site, I am assuming it is VITELITY, LLC.
They are ruthless and will NOT quit calling!
    We are in Michigan.

This company calls my husband while I am work stating that we owe for some magazines and they are going to sue him.  He is disabled and there is nothing to do to him.  We never ordered any magazines.  They harrass you to death. I have filed a harrassment suit against them and if they call us, write to us-they will be arrested that is if they can find them.  Also I called the Attorney General's office and they are aware of this bunch of scammers and are trying to locate them and shut them dowm.  Everyone else should do the same.

Vitelity is an Internet telephony provider. The calls everyone receives here are from people who use Vitelity services. The caller uses Vitelity to buy phone numbers and phone service. While I am not an expert on the subject, it appears to me that Vitelity registers phone numbers on behalf of the customer and would therefore show up as the owner of the phone number upon looking it up.

So, what can you do.. Perhaps you could complain to Vitelity that one of their customers at whatever phone number is using Vitelity's service for illegal purposes. However, the state of Voice over IP (which is Internet telephony) is such that many people are able to spoof their caller ID to show anything they want - so you cannot be sure that the number on your caller ID actually has anything at all to do with the party calling you. That said, I am quite certain that spoofing your caller ID for the purpose of disguising the actual source of the call is illegal, so there are strong discouragements in place generally preventing people from doing that.

I use Vitelity myself for legitimate purposes - so my family in the US can call me on a local number at no charge to them, and I can therefore vouch that Vitelity is not your enemy, but can probably help should they take in enough complaints about a particular customer of theirs.

These tools are a bunch of losers. They want to make threats laugh at them. They are scammers and no legal powers. They have a different load of crap everytime they call. They always try and make threats and strong arm people. Just make up a bs buisness name and pick up the phone. Hello this is xyz inc your call is being recorded to serve you better. Odds are they will hang up. If not then it gives you the ability to record the call if the ask for it not to be recorded say you can't because its automatic. Then say that if they have a problem with being recorded they should loose the number. Otherwise it can and probably another scam.
I try to find the most offensive and nastiest names like money shot productions etc just bs them. Do forget to say its company policy to give out the info they asked for or keep asking for a valid e-mail. Just have fun. Or try a new product to market to the wolves. They are scumbags spammers.

Just got call stating they were a law firm that was suing me for a non paid debt. The guy was rude and talked really fast so that I couldnt understand him. He kept saying we can settle this now or do you want to go forward in court. I kept asking what this was about, he would not slow down so I said see you in court. How scary it would be to have someone yelling and acting that way if I was elderly basically scaring me out of money.

Writing about 810-213-1018.  No message.  We never answer if we don't recognize a phone number.  However, it does eat up minutes on the monthly cellular bill.  Just sharing a bit of info:  If you go to donotcall.gov website, you can file a complaint against the number.  Someone mentioned that Vitelity LLC is the company that leases numbers to people and unfortunately it appears Vitelity may not know that their service is being abused in such manner.  So I would recommend that you utilize the 'comment' box in your complaint form at donotcall.gov and let them know that they may need to contact Vitelity LLC to summons up their phone numbers to see who is leasing them.  I'm assuming there is some agency that monitors and researches these numbers in order to keep within the laws of the DO NOT CALL registry.  I'm also guessing it's probably difficult to keep up with these scammers.  Best of luck and if you don't recognize a number, don't answer it.  Let it go to voicemail.  If it's important, they will leave a message.  And keep reporting all the numbers to the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  These people found a way around the registry and the registry needs to know.

My call came in as "FL HEALTH BRFS."  It is a private telemarketing or call center firm hired to do a survey on Health Factor Risk BUT here is my policy:  I do not answer surveys unless I am paid to do so.  The companies that conduct these surveys get paid VERY well;  I know because I used to do this work.  In addition, the information is sold over and over and they continue to make money.  You are essentially donating your time.  Don't donate your time.  Our time is worth something.  If the survey company is paid then the participants should be paid.  You want me to fill out a survey...send me 10 dollars for every 25 questions and I'll do it.  In addition you, as the surveyor must send me a copy of your privacy policy before I will accept the contract.  Even though you may say my answers are anonymous, you have my phone number, so they are definitely NOT anonymous.

I adopted this policy because I know for a fact (remember I did this work) that  these companies sell this info and operate without privacy statements.  Yes, the work might be important to organizations such as the Center for Disease Control (CDC) but keep in mind that is NOT the CDC that is conducting the research...it is a private/for profit (big profit) company.  They maintain vast records of data and sell it to whomever wants it.  You can test this for yourself;  just answer a survey and note that you will be inundated with advertising or phone calls from companies selling products associated with the survey topic.

These people can also be hired by political organizations so as to "adjust" candidates messages to meet the expectations or desires of certain groups in certain areas.

412-346-1119 - extension 301- called regarding lowering my electric bill and posing as Direct Energy, a legal supplier. When I declined the offer he sang "dumb-de-dumb dumb" and hung up. Annoying and rude. Caller ID was Vitelity, LLC. Direct Energy was unaware.

I have been applying for jobs online thru "Career Builder" and started receiving callbacks from a lot of staffing services whose employees all have heavy Indian accents. Lately I have been getting many calls from this Vitelity number(i only know that thanx to reverse lookup). So apparently by job hunting i have given away all my privacy. What a PAIN!! Btw, they never leave a message which is why i was suspicious.
