I ordered two converter boxes on a Wednesday and my credit card was charged the day after the order was placed.  On Tuesday of the following week I still did not receive a shipment confirmation email.  Logically I emailed them but I never received a reply.  So I started to call constantly for two days but I was always but on hold and then told that no representative is available to take my call.  I also left messages.  My order still didn't arrive.  I don't know if it has been sent. I emailed them again but I'm still waiting for a reply.

    You probably won't get a satisfactory result from them.  I also ordered 2 converter boxes from them.  1 quit working within 4 days and when I contacted them, they gave me the phone number for the manufacturer.  They also did not reply to me.  The only other response I got from digitalstar.com was when I contaced the Better Business Bureau.  They still would not cooperate and I am stuck with a box that doesn't work.  I would file a dispute with your credit card company!!

    I also ordered boxes from Digitalstar.  They were junk when they arrived. I complained to them, and they said they would exchange the boxes, however when I asked what the procedure was to exchange them, they quit corresponding.  I also told them I was going to file a complaint with BBB, and write complaints on internet blogs,  possibly sue them in small claims court...no response. They don't care.

    Hey amigos, yo estoy en la misma situacion.  Sin embargo ellos me contestan, pero no recuelven nada.  En mi caso llamaré al programa de cupones federales para que me devuelvan el dinero si Digitalstar no se comunican.

    Hi friends, I had the same situation.  They had some communication with me, but solved nothing.  In my case, I will write the federal cupon program to claim my money back if Digitalstar doesn't communicate.

      a correa:  I have now had the same problem and am getting ripped off with no response.  They stole $116.00 from me.  I couldn't be more sick about it since I had borrowed the money in the first place.  You spoke of a federal cupon program to claim your money back.  How does that work and I wonder why they are permitted to continue to rip people off?  Possibly, if they won't do anything about it, the only way to get my money back is to create a phoney site like them and use digital star to collect the funds and pay a percentage to the company they used to buy something if they will just refuse to answer any calls or email from the effected parties.  If I used a Marijuana site selling seeds or saying I will send hash to them by "stealth measures" or use other words they like - and just make a killing from all over the world!!  And the BBB won't do anything much either (another federal boondoggle made up by "big government people" to scam money themselves off the Americans - Legally and they get paid for it in millions year after year..)

    I ordered 2 units from them on Sept. 4th. It is now October 1st and they say they will ship soon. Sure, and the check is in the mail. Avoid DigitalStar.com! Don't order anything from them. If you did, go to https://www.dtv2009.gov/EmailUs.aspx and send a message to the people that run the coupon program. Maybe if enough people complain, they will revoke the right for the company to get reimbursed for the coupons. If digitalstar can't use them, nobody will buy from them. Problem solved.

    Ordered two converter boxes from digitalstar.com, one Tivax STB-T9 and one Artec T3A.  Artec had issues with power supply but was able to exchange for another Tivax. Tivax seems to be the best in class, great picture quality.

    My experience with digitalstar.com was good.  I didn't have any problems with them.  Purchased a converter box, the price was the lowest I could find and their name was the first one  to show up when i google tivax stb t9 up.  I received my item within 1 week of ordering.  You should keep in mind that it takes time for processing, it is a gov't program, not a free retailer. But that's only my experience with the company.  I think that you shouldn't have any problems ordering from them. You can reach them over the phone, or via email also.  Not bad!

    I should have done some research before ordering. They processed the payment very fast and I have yet to hear anything afterwards. I placed the order on 1/21/09, e-mailed them twice, called many times and cannot get through to anyone and all their mailbox is full! If I don't hear from them for another week, I am going to dispute the charge with my CC company.

    The Gov should do something about this Co. They are cashing consumer coupons and charging credit cards but shipping no product. I'm trying to get another coupon from the Gov. but having little sucess, they seem to be out of money.

    I spoke with them about my order and they were friendly and polite.  I got my converter on time. Always call them before you place an order to see if they have the merchandise in stock.

    Two days after I ordered a ARTEC T3AP from Digitalstar, I received an email that said "There was a delay from the factory with the Artec converters with no estimated time of arrival, therefore, we would like to offer you an upgrade for FREE to the better COSHIP 9901T converter".  I did not authorized the "upgrade" (the COSHIP doesn't have the 12vdc feature I need), yet two days after that, I received another email that states "Your order xx-xx-xxxxxxxx was shipped on 2/27/2009."
    Several emails later, and they're not responding.
    Advice- shop somewhere else.

    Conversely to the above comments I was happy with the company. They shipped my product veryyy fast - the next day! And they use USPS which I really liked about. Post office delivers fast! The company shipped my converter on Monday from Il and I got it on Wednesday in NY. I also got the Coship but absolutely love it. I received a confirmation email right after I placed the order and then another one with the tracking number. I don't know how fast they respond to their emails because I didn't have any issues with my order. I will definately shop from them again and recommend them to everyone!

    I ordered a digital converter box - Tivax STB T8 from DigitalStar. I received it in about 10 days from ordering.  The box works great, now I get even more channels than before, and the picture is crisp and clear.  I liked the way that the company handled my order, they shipped it on time, plus the price was great, one of the lowest I could find.  And the product is amazing. I just hope that it lasts for long time. Would order from them again!..:)

    Wow, I go looking to see if other people have had a similar problem with the company and you see complaint after complaint and then a few glowing reviews with marketing buzz words...hmmm...I ordered two units with the company.  They're website now only seems to process orders with a converter box coupon. Wierd. Feels more and more like a scam when you call and get a voicemail box instead of a customer support que. 3 e-mails and 4 voicemails later, no response.

    I emailed about the status of my convertor box order and they emailed me back within 2 days and state in took 10-14 business days to process the order. At that point they will send me a tracking number.

    Wish it was quicker but was happy to receive a response. I probably will not shop there again just because of the long wait.

    My overall experience with them was good.  Tivax converter is an excellent product.  The price was fair and package arrived promptly.

    I ordered 2 converter boxes the failed to ship after many promises. This is a SCAM!!. must be working out of his basement. Even the phone system is a hoax. They cash the coupons and charge your credit card and fail to ship.  BE WARE OF DIGITALSTAR.COM
