I ordered two converter boxes on a Wednesday and my credit card was charged the day after the order was placed.  On Tuesday of the following week I still did not receive a shipment confirmation email.  Logically I emailed them but I never received a reply.  So I started to call constantly for two days but I was always but on hold and then told that no representative is available to take my call.  I also left messages.  My order still didn't arrive.  I don't know if it has been sent. I emailed them again but I'm still waiting for a reply.

An entry appeared on my credit card statement in the amount of $74.95 from Digital Star. The transaction took place on January 26, 2012. I have never heard of this company and certainly never ordered anything from them. I would like to find out how my account number was accessed. It had to be from an on-line transaction which are few for me and involve reputable companies. Obviously there is a common source of what appears to be a credit card account harvesting operation operating perhaps under the name of a defunct company or perhaps someone gained access to PAYPAL records somehow. I do hope some investigation gets to the bottom of this because I do not want to keep having to close credit card accounts.

I did not order anything and my credit card company just called to confirm a charge to Digital Star on my card.  After telling them I did not know anything about a charge to this company, my credit card company said they would report them as fraudulent.  They closed my account and issued me another card.  How in the world did they get my number?????  Be careful out there!!

I did not order anything from Digital Star, but when I called my Visa card company, they told me that the $498.99!!!!!!!!! charge was for tickets and had something to do with Great Britan.  My card company is issuing a new account for me.  Sure hope and pray that the crooks are caught and put away SOON!!!

I received my credit card bill today and found a charge of 74.95 from Digital Star.  When I checked with Chase they told me another charge was on my next months bill also.  I have never ordered anything from them.  Chase gave me credit for both charges (149.50) and said they would take care of it.

These crooks are starting to resuse card numbers previously charged.

If you have already had one fraudulent charge, be sure to block the card number.

Watch your statements for any new card number, as charges against the old card number might be rolled over to your new card number for a month or two.

Insist that your bank dispute the charge as FRAUDULENT, not some "merchant dispute".  A fraud dispute  pushes the charge back through the system, and flags the account as having suspicious activity.  Also, insist on sending in a fraud affidavit, to document your dispute.

Be sure to block your card number or close your account, since new complaints are reporting that they are reusing previously used accounts for a new round of fraudulent charges.
