On Feb 13, 2008 I was charged on my Visa Credit Card $29.95 and the telephone number is 888-999-0564 CT. I did not authorize this and I am therefore filing a complainst against them as a Scam.

I got charged by these people as well on July 12, 2008.  I didn't sign up for anything at all.  I called my credit card company and they provided the number I could reach these people.  I found out that this website, www.vitacost.com did something wrong with my credit card number when I tried to purchase vitamins online but they didn't have that product in stock which did not show at that time of purchase. I am thinking that this vitamin shopping website is fishy.

This is VITA COST. I just spoke to the guy and he said that this was done since I placed my order on Vitacost.

NO MORE BUSINESS WITH VITACOST. IT IS RIDICULOUS

I have been charged $14.95 on 5/20/08, 6/30/08. 7/27/08. and now 8/17/08 (They seem to coming faster and more furiously now). I called their 888-999-0564 and spoke to Chris # 14933 (he says) who said he could only cancel 2 months. Then I called Band of America's credit card fraud department and told them that I did not want any charges on my account from this company. They said that they could not do this since, THIS COMPANY IS A THIRD PARTY VENDOR THAT BOA DEALS WITH111111. I'm hold for a BOA supervisor at the moment and will change credit card numbers. Just spoke to Daniel robertson BOA supervisor, 866-344-8899, and asked him to look up "AP9 Shoping Essential complaints." He did and said "yes, there are quite a few."  He will file paperwork with his supervisors.  We'll see.

My Fraudulent charges began in June when I signed up for REALTY TRAC and nothing else! The amount is 19.95 a month it is now October before I have found out how this charge is occuring. My Advice take care of it through your bank which I will be doing from now on. 60.00 in the whole and not very happy.

So Sorry thought it was REALTY TRAC but I read where someone said it was Vita cost and I too order from there. So there is no telling but NO more Vita cost.

I have been being charged $14.95 every month since December of 2007! That's nearly $150. I called the website and they were so rude! They credited back 1 month and cancelled my "membership" that I never signed up for. I then called my credit card company and they were extremely helpful and said they would dispute everything for me and get all of my money back. WOW! I can't believe this 3rd party shopping company can get away with all of this! It's ridiculous and I think we should have some class action lawsuit or something. :)

Hope everyone can get things resolved

I definitely agree. When I called my bank, that was the first thing I did: even though Shopping Essentials claimed that they canceled my membership, and even if they did, they still have my credit card information. What's to stop them from charging me again, and what's to stop them from charging me even more? I'm just thankful that I caught them before the charges started to add up.

I actually called the 888-999-0564 number and spoke to somebody...it's definitely very fishy, because a lot of people have reported calling the same number that was on their statement twice and getting different companies.

This just happened to me: I bought a pair of shoes off of Catalog Favorites in mid-July. Over the next three months, 8/8/08, 9/9/08, and 10/8/08, I received a charge of $11.95 from AP9*SHOPP AP9*SHOPPI 888-999-0564 CT. Unfortunately, they were very sneaky about it with the relatively low amount of money, so I didn't even realize what was going on until yesterday. I immediately went to my bank, who told me to call the number on my statement. I did, and the first thing I did was cancel the membership I never signed up for. Then, I spoke to a representative who told me that they could only refund one month's charge. At that point, I hung up, called my bank, and had my card canceled and had a new one issued to me. I also requested the paperwork to file a dispute against this company, and the bank said that they would refund me all the money that was taken out of my account fraudulently. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well, and I believe that I will be filing a complaint with them about Catalog Favorites as well.

I just noticed shoppingessetials charges of 19.95 on my acct as well.  I called the 888# and canceled my unauthorized membership and was told they could only refund 2 of the 3 charges.  I spoke with a supervisor (Bill #25045), who said they were not even suppose to refund the 2nd charge.  I told him I want ALL charges refunded & wanted to talk to a mgr & he said he was the only one I could talk to.  Which I kinda believe since I called back 2 times & he was who I was transferred to both times.  They said they got my info when I signed on to classmates.com on 7/15/08.  Here is the odd part, I used my old card and they had my NEW card.  My old card was canceled due to possible mail theft or just plain lost in the mail.  They said my bank info was tranferred over from my old to the new.  Which can't be the case since classmates.com never had my new #.  I was told that I could mail my complaint for the 3rd (1st) charge & I said their has to be an email I can use since they got my info from the internet.  So needless to say, they directed me to www.dealpass.com contact them thru the "contact us".  I have done so, but don't expect much resolution from it.

I called my bank who is disputing ALL charges for me as well & they too are concerned as to how they got my new number.  I know it doesn't transfer since all my regular auto bill's (cell & internet) had to request the new number from me.  Very odd.

If it happens to anyone else, GO THRU YOUR BANK!!!  You need to cancel your membership, but I don't know if you can do that without giving your cc# again.  My bank said to not give it if you don't have to.  So I don't know how that will work.
