I purchased the Husky HU80722 2600psi Pressure Washer late 2008 from Home Depot. In less than a year, August 2009, there was a problem with water pressure or the lack of water pressure. I called the 1-866-340-3912 help number listed on my paperwork and they referred me to a local repair shop, "Scottys Small Engine" 1550 Azalea Garden Rd, Norfolk Va. I dropped the pressure washer off on August 29, 2009 and it's still there. I call many times each month with no luck on the repair. They claim the supplier has backorder the part needed, but several times have told me that they have the parts and it would be fixed, only to find out that they were lying, again. I just want my pressure washer fixed.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I am not apposed to buying a new pump for under $100, just don't know where to go. Anyone have a link to one at a reasonable price?

same problem as the rest of you guys.  Called Husky and they said to contact Gardner who has replacement parts.  Called Gardner and they said the machine is now built by Homelite.  Gardner sells replacement pumps for 56 dollars and change before taxes.  have one on order and hope it works.  For 56 bucks I will give it a try.

Yup, mine lasted 3 or 4 small jobs.  Looks like brand new.  The pump froze and stalled the motor.  After cooling, the motor started with one pull but that was the end of the pump.  Ordered new pump from http://www.m-and-d.com/HM-308653025.html $60 delivered.  Verified the Homelite pump number at the Husky website here http://www.mastertoolrepair.com/husky-parts-h ... er-p-38365.html.  Beware: they are still selling the OEM pump out there - if you get one you'll have the same problem 3 hours into your job.  Get the retrofit pump, model number 308653045 made by Homelite.

This is the way it is with the Home Depot "good deals".  The up side is HD always tries to make it right with you - the down side is the loss of time and the hassle factor.  In this case I just paid the $60 and am done with it.

i also have the same problem with the pump this is bull we all should get refunded at least for a new pump, we got sold a $300 lemon with no refund at all, and the worst part is that they still are selling it. now we we are stuck with it, either buy a new pump $75 and up, or let it take up space in your home. wow what a scam

Same powerwasher... same problem. Tried the Limeaway and didn't work. The one of the internal plastic valves is cracked. What a piece of junk.. Motor is great, guess Ill try to find a third party pump that fits the housing. Will think twice before buying eguipment from Home Depot again.

Have same unit, pump is only designed for 50 hours of use. There are after market pumps made to last 300 hours, Here is a link for the pump co. used by Home Depot(HUSKY)
      http://www.annovi-reverberi.com/pdfs/srmw_3400_a.pdf.
Here is a link to the after market co. http://www.ppe-pressure-washer-parts.com/product/PWVR24%2F2.3
The only difference I can determine is the brass outer housing. I believe the problem lies in the oil, they use standard 30 wieght, I`m fixing to order the Husky from the company that makes them, BUT will change oil to LUCAS OIL TREATMENT . Use it in my Jeeep that has almost 300,000 on it and it still runs great. This will take the high temps. these unit produce and keep it well lubercated

One other thing, these HUSKY units are sold as 2,600 PSI , FALSE these pumps are only rated at 2,400 PSI @ 3,400 RPM. the after market is a true 2,600 PSI

Used the machine once. i didn't use for a while and when I did the engine wouldn't start.   I purchased a new carburator and replaced when the engine wouldn't start.  Finally got the engine to start and now I have
Same problem as other posts, pressure water cease to flow, pump locks up and motor stalls. Tried adjusting unloader, remove jet valve re assemble, will get water through gun again until motor starts, locks again. Plastic valves look ok, unloader, etc.  I purchased this machine to help me reduce the time it takes to clean stuff and now I have spent more time fixing it than it has saved me by cleaning things more expeditently.  The whole reason I purchased this machine was to save me time, and so far all it has done is caused me to spend more time trying to fix it then usining it.  I am a stockholder of Home Depot, I know selling inferior products is not what made Home Depot a great company and if they don't fix these problems it could be what causes the demise of Home Depot.  Husky should recall this product based on all the problems I have seen posted on the internet.

I came across this message board when I googled HU80722 to find a replacement pump. Seems like it wasn't just mine. Here's my story. I bought mine at the Home Depot in Frankfort, Ky. I let it sit in the box over a year before I got around to using it. When I did, no pressure. Thought it was probably something simple. As it goes, I waited another two years before I got around to taking it somewhere for repair. Diagnosis is a new pump, go figure. Never used it one time!!! I see where there's an updated pump but I hate to spend more money on something that should have least given me a couple years of dependable service.

Wow! Same pump same problem. When life hands you lemons you thank Home Depot for giving you the shaft! I don't know how they don't have some fix or rebuild kit to make it right. Lowes will get my service from non on.

My Husky HU80722 has the water flowing back into the soap container. I have cleaned all known connections and orifices; but the problem still persists. What is my next step to reverse this backflow and to send soap through the wand?

    Me too
Yes I too have run into the same thing as everyone else.  One thing I have learned from this pump issue is, NOT TO BUY HOME DEPOT BRAND PRODUCTS!

Misery loves company-ha.  I also purchased the Husky HU80722 and used it only once before water flow stopped completely.  I'm talking to my very good friend, attorney Kevin K,  tomorrow about the possibility of filing a class action suit.  Husky should step up and provide a quality replacement pump and Honda should be embarrassed to be associated with this product.

    Disgusted with Husky
I bought two Husky electric pressure washer after one single use the pump was shut, burn out completelly. Home Depot told me I should then buy another one and after two uses the hoses are leaking in two  separate places. Home Depot claims they don't carry it Husky products anymore or certainly not that model and the washer is in my garage and I cannot get anybody to repair it short of buying a new hose system or a new washer.
I should have read  this blog before I bought them back in 2011. Mark in Atlanta, GA.
