Willfully breaking "Do not call" laws

Complaint

Every attempt has been made to stop the harrassment from this company, to no avail!

606 834 8725 Lester, Inc

*when I pick up phone, nobody answers
*when I don't pick up the phone, no messages are left on my voice mail
*when I attemp to call the number, no one answers, or there is a
computerized "mailbox full" message after dozens of rings.
I have reported this phone number to the National-Do-Not-Call registry, and no action has apparently been taken against them.

There must be some way to stop this group of leeches!
Maybe a barrage of complaints from recipients of these calls.

To get rid of this company call the advertiser he is selling. Tell them about him and because he is  representing their product you will no longer buy it,  You will also spread their lousy way of selling to your family and friends.     This really worked well  for me when I  went afer a bigoted radio talk show personality.       I talke to ad Directors, marketing executives and president  of some large businesses.           GOOD LUCK

I live in San Diego, and they have been calling once every 2 days or so for the last 2 weeks.  I never answer, and they leave no message.

They call me DAILY and leave nonsense messages.  I attempted to use their "do not call list" request from their phone number, but of course, the "mailbox is full".  Good luck trying to get them to stop calling.

Calls often.  No longer answer calls with no name or a state.  This one doesn't say anything but just hangs on long enough for answer machine to get it.  Does do not call list not work at all anymore?

Day shift- they call to make updates of your information for you can continue receiving your free magazine subscription. Night shift make calls to the different alumni's of whatever account they have to ask for donations for school fund raisers, scholarship funds, etc.  and Channel 13 to renew the member ship. All you have to say is " Take me of the list or no phone solicitations." if they do their job correctly they will mark it appropriately and you will not receive calls for that campaign. If you want to NEVER be called again say "I want for Lester Inc to never call me again" this stops them from using your phone number ever again to any campaign they have. Hope this helps!! :)

I agree Byrd, I certainly hope the company is still as responsible as it was in my day. When someone failed to take someone off of the call list, They lost their job. (NO EXCUSES) I never put up with that. Maybe if the current Supervisor gets hit with an audit or two, They will become more efficient at their job.

I've been getting calls from Lester 2-3 times a week for past 2 months. Most complainants seem to be from US. I live in Canada with a Canadian number and still get called. I am on Canadian do not call registry and does not apply to someone calling from outside of Canada. Not sure how to stop them from calling.

I have read that these robo calls will come more frequently if you give your number to be taken off their call list or acknowledge the call in any way. I'd love to know if those that left their number were actually able to stop the calls. I'd pursue their advice if so!

This one made me chuckle, You wouldn't receive MORE CALLS. You do need to disclose your number though, That is the only way they are able to remove it. Information is not categorized under name as they are predominately B2B callers and multiple people could work at that location. I have a good idea, Just say you are an independent auditor. That would certainly get a quick response. I would also ask to speak to a Supervisor to MAKE SURE they get the message as the caller really has no incentive to be diligent in the matter. (Although they did in my day, No comply No job.) See that is so simple (Take note current Managers and Supers) P.S. Just be aware that ALL CALLS ARE RECORDED on their end. Tell them that you are recording the call as well and you WILL submit a complaint if the calls do not stop. You will have to give it ten days though, The system takes that long to purge as your number may be in multiple locations within the server. Again, I hope this is helpful.

I am wholeheartedly saddened by the complaints against Lester Inc. I worked as a Supervisor years ago and there are a few things I would like to explain. The reason messages are not left on answering machines is because it is against company policy. The division I worked in was calling from an automated dialer for free magazine subscription renewals to trade publications. (Callers cannot choose the number manually) It certainly was not a scam. The Trade Rags really were free. I cannot speak for the Company today as I have noticed that many people have mentioned "GuruAid". I am unfamiliar with this department and/or software. My guess is that this is from the India division. They are all computer techs in the India division. I can also say that the reason someone was asked their phone number (By Senior VP Joan Marcus) is because that is our only way of removing a number from the DNC. I can assure you that she would NEVER retaliate due to someone wishing to be removed from a calling list. She is a true professional, (Although her personality is a bit dry). I hope this helps a bit. There is also a night division for fundraising. The callers are almost exclusively seniors and retirees. They raise funds from Alumni of multiple Universities. I am not surprised someone received a call in Canada as that made up about 3 percent of our calling list. If I cleared the air a bit for someone, My job is done. Warm Wishes for all.

Here's some good karma news for those of you out there who have been harassed by this company.  They are now chronically dialing my businesses' Google Voice # - which no human will ever answer until the end of time...  And they apparently are paying for every single call... Take that you pieces of sh*t...

Always register a complaint if  the call gets thru the DNC registry.

Call the attorney general in your state, The attorney general wants to know to sue the caller if caller keep calling after you said to caller to put you on the do not call list.
