I recently purchased a starter kit for the Chaz Dean Wen product through Guthy-Renker.  The product itself builds up on your hair with continued use and no longer works after a month.  Also, Guthy-Renker does not adequately advertise that upon purchase of the starter kit you are actually comitting to 3 additional months of product delivery and an additional amount charged automatically to your debit/credit card.  It is not clearly stated on the G-R site nor on the Chaz Dean homepage.
Guthy-Renker and Chaz Dean are obviously working together to defraud the consumer marketplace in this situation.

DO NOT ORDER THE WEN PRODUCT OR DO ANY BUSINESS WITH GUTHY-RENKER.

    "Mr.Customer" you most likely work for Guthy Renker! They have been running scams for years, and need to be stopped...so you my dear, you need to snap out of it! Their billing is very shady:( & I hope they fix the problem or they are put out of business!

    I also emailed Leeza and complained that she is associated w/ such a sorry company. I don't understand how Guthy can be on tv, home shopping network, etc. You can email Leeze by Googling her website.

    Guthy Renker is a scam. If you watch their ads, they basically sell the same products in different packages. I purchased Meaningful Beautiful, which is about the same as Victoria Principle’s product. Only wanted and ordered the 30 trail kit on line to avoid the sales tactics. In bold letters, it states what you get and in small print, says they will start shipping you product every 3 months at a monthly payment of over $50 (w/shipping). I called and spoke to a rude customer service rep. She kept saying it’s on the site. So while I had her on the phone, I went to the site. Sure enough, it was there, which I missed. I asked why wasn’t that statement in bold to make customers aware of this agreement. Her sarcastic reply was she didn’t know and I would have to ask Guthy Renker. I told her to quickly cancel any pending shipments.

    I also questioned the size of their 90 day supply. Per the 30 day trail size, the 90 day supply was only double. So they are trying to sell me a 60 day supply for 90 pricing. Her answer was all the products were not to be used every day. I quickly pointed out per their pamphlet, the mask was the only thing not to be used daily. Of course, she had an answer (excuse) for everything. No wonder GR is a multi billion $ company.

    I then asked if I could just by the product as needed. I said I did not see it on the site to purchase separate, which is how they make big money. She said I could not online but had to call them direct. NOT!!

    I can’t believe Cindy Crawford endorses this product. I really liked her, not because she is beautiful but because I thought she was a genuine good person, unless she is clueless. But I guess what does she care, just more money to add to her millions. After reading several complaints about this company, I read that Cindy does Botox. Is that false advertisement?

    I suggest everyone run the any product GR sales. They need to change their marketing. Sure, right now they are raking in big money but it will catch up with them one day. Oh wait, they have billions of $’s to pay their way out of it.

      what we do not tell you is that your initial 30 day trial is actually a 45 day amount...  waaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        I did call and cancelled and informed them that I would call when I needed more and they were fine with that next thing I know they still sent me a packet. I didn't open it just rejected it and sent it back. I had already changed my card. The sad part I liked the product they didn't have to use a scheme I would have reordered because my curls came back. Now until they make all the corrections and compensate me for the extra headache I will not order from them again their customer service is very bad.

    I am so angry right now I can hardly see straight.  I just checked my bank account to see if it was as low as I thought it was.  It was.  I have a whole #1.24.  But what really made my blood boil was the "pending" charge from Guthie Renker for Chas Dean's Wen products.  I had called them back in August to Cancel because I was mad then when they sent the new shipment before I had a chance to call and cancel at that time.  The product is basically just a conditioner that you're using to "wash" your hair.  I wasn't crazy about it and really can't afford it since I am not working.  But somehow the girl got me to agree to wait until January to see if I change my mind.  The charges used to always appear on the 24th or 25th of the month!  But now those B------s VERY SNEAKILY put the charge in extremely early and on a HOLIDAY NO LESS, plus the next day is Sunday so I STILL won't be able to call them.  I'm telling you all now, DO NOT EVER BUY ANY GRC (GUTHY RENKER) PRODUCT.  I NEVER WILL AGAIN.

    Whew!  I was just about to order WEN, then I read these!!  I actually Love Wen Haircare, however, I know about the billing and commitment scams, so I changed my mind.  I used to order thru QVC, they had some good prices but the same thing ended up happening.  I dont like not having control of my account being billed!  

    I recently tried the new L'oreal Eversleek Shampoo and conditioner, fell in love with it.  my hair is healthier, color stays in, its awesome and its only about 7 bucks!!

    I had an absolutely horrible experience with these people.  I will NEVER order another produce from Chaz Dean, Wen or Guthy-Wenker.  The advitersing is deceptive.  I continued to be shipped products after I requested they cancel the trial and monies continued to be taken out of my bank account for months after I cancelled.  My bank accessed additional charges to stop the unauthorized withdrawals.  Chaz Dean refused to reimburse my account even after his custoemr service representative said it was clearly a problem caused by Wen and that if the bank provided evidence (which they did), the funds would be fully restored.  THEY WERE NOT!  BAD BUSINESS, BAD ATTITUDES.

    I was scammed the 29.95 for 3 continuos months!!!! Beware of the trial $9.95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not give out your credit card account number!!!!!!

    EXACTLY!!!!  I ordered this for my daughter and they charged me 3 times!  After I called and complained and also told them to remove me from auto delivery...they removed 2 of the charges.  I thought all was good until today...my bankk was charged again!!!  It has only been 8 days since the initial charges!  I called in AGAIN and was told by the RUDE csr that she could see no other charges...I told her I was looking at my bank online at that instant and could see the charges...GRRRRR....I called the bank and they are doing a fraud investigation against this company!

    Mr.Dean, You should be ashamed of yourself. As if you're not making enough money through QVC, Amazon etc. I, for one fell victim to your Guthy Renker scam. Do you really feel that you need to resort to their shady tactics in order to sell your products. I for one liked your product, but greed is greed. You have no real concern for your customers. If you did, you would use only reliable sources to market your products. Too bad, Mr Dean. You probably would have had a lifetime customer in me, but after paying shipping to send back something I clearly didn't sign on for, I'll take my business and money elsewhere.You'd better believe that I'm gonna start singing the praises for Hair One at Sally's. Just as good,half the price and no scam involved. Isn't it enough for people to just try your product once and then decide for themselves if they like it or not.It's not like it was free.Most likely, you would have gotten repeat orders. But to tell someone the have to be on auto ship is just bs.You're losing more business than you are making. Good riddance to you Mr. Dean and you Wen hair care.

    Thank you consumers for all the great information,i will not ever order GR PRODUCTS or CHAZ WEN PRODUCTS thanks to all the complaints. These companies are just deceiving consumers they are just in for the money and that is GREED!!!.

    I wanted to check and see if anyone else had a problem with the guthey renker people - I call them now -GOOFY WRECKER - they are rude, with unclear tactics, and they wreck you. I was going to ship back whatever to get a return for my charge, but reading all this, forget it.  Just cancel my card. Thanks! Gift cards here we come goofy wrecker.

    I have no idea what these are even...I just saw some repeated posts on my credit cards and googled it, which led me to this site. What A SCAM!!! Thank god I noticed the charges...

    I also cancelled their auto shipment.
    Then I had a new credit card issued.
    Then put a credit card block on these jokers.

    Luckily my credit card company did not charge a dime for this service.

    Don't order this crap.  Your feels like it is dirty all the time.  I cancelled with in the time limit, but they still sent the next package.  I called returned the package, but they claim they never got it and are still charging me $29 + a month.  This is really a scam.

    Not sure why you are calling anyone a dummy? This ad was structure to elict a starter kit, not a 2-4 month annuity for the vendor. Please be a better citizen and not call other dummies. Thank you.

    Contact the Attorney General's office in the state where Guthy-Renker is!  Send a copy of ALL the complaints shown here when you write the AG's office!

    NEVER order products from a website such as this one.  If you really MUST have Chaz stuff, go through QVC or Amazon where you can RETURN it and REALLY get a REFUND.

    The Attorney General's office will help you solve this problem.  They are on the look out for mail fraud.  BIG TIME.
