Got mail from Car Safe to call them at 1-866-364-3336 to "Extend Your Vehicle Coverage".  I called 02/09/2010 & Robb, the sales person, answered.  He looked up my car (2006 Chev Malibu), asked how many miles (53,700) and in a doubtful voice said it's hard to cover a high mileage vehicle.  Then transferred me to the approval dept.
That person asked about repairs completed, accidents & if it ran ok now; also warned me they didn't want any fraud situations.  Satisfied, she sent me back to Robb.
Robb didn't want to answer my questions, still worried about high miles and in general gave me smart-ass remarks vs answers to questions.  I hung up as I sensed I was wasting my time.
Robb called back & said I really needed protection since I even had trouble using a phone.  I asked how long he'd been in sales.  Since he was 14, said Robb.  I asked if he hadn't figured insults don't lead to a sale.  He responded that when he sold cars he greeted customers with " Gosh!  How'd you make it here in that thing".  Again I hung up, or had trouble using my phone.

Just because a company is "real" does not mean it isn't a scam or bad business.  I just hate how some people come to the conclusion of suing in every situation. Sharing experiences is not slander...

      Also, the word is "through".

Not so fast, Jim.  Your URL address above for the Enterprise Financial Group does not bring one to a website.  Are you, perhaps, an employee?  Before I give my business to any company I ask for references and "CarSafe" was not able to offer me any.  Scare tactics (saying "your insurance has expired or is about to run out") is not a business approach that reputable, responsible companies use.  I will also be reporting this "company".

if this is such a great company why do they so many consumer complaints against them? if you google them the BBB has almost 200 on file as well as many who have voiced their displeasure about Car Safes questionable practices. Good luck Mike, and should you find cause to be unhappy with Car Safe come back and let folks know.

I'm very worried after reading these comments.  My car just broke down and I'm putting it in the shop tomorrow.  During the past summer, I purchased an extended warrenty via Carsafe.  My dealer warrenty was in fact about to expire, so I didn't waste any time taking action.  I was put on a payment plan and have paid almost $1,600.00 of the original $3,399.00 amount.  If this company is fraudulent, then I will soon find out.  Right now I'm hoping that they're legit, but know that I must be prepared for the worst case scenario, which is???

Just received the same official looking letter.  Called - Jason Roth was the mans name he turned me over to their financial director.  5 years, 100,000 miles on my 2005 Toyota Sienna.  They were polite... told me they came well recommended by BBB and were Interstate Insurance. Also they had highest rating from A-1 Best....  How do they get our vehicle info anyway. They even knew where I purchased the vehicle and where it originally came from..

Purchased a warrenty for a motorhome, $2500 , went right down the drain when we tried to make a claim.  The rep just laughed.. How does one know if these companies are legit...Does anyone know of a legitimate warrenty company.. Going to do some checking as they gave me 48 hours to make my decision and a special rate... $695 with $495 down and the rest paid in 12 months without a fee...I'm lucky.

I just got off the phone with Zach at CarSafe-having responded to what I thought was an official notice on my Mazda. He was very nice and offered me a 4 year warranty.  When I told him I had to think about the coverage, he lowered the cost. When I still didn't commit he  transferred me to Eric  in what they called the "hardship" department.  Eric lowered the  warranty cost again-now  $1000 less than Zach's first price. When I told him I still needed to think about it, he started escalating the pressure and finally started yelling at me before telling me he'd never insure my car and hanging up. Clearly, they  wanted  me to sign before I had a chance to check out a site like this and discover their scam. Thank you all for sharing your experience. You just validated mine.

Carsafe sent me the same notice in the mail. I thought it was from the chevrolet dealer.  I did get the policy, but the customer service rep. told me to call and cancel at any time.  That was not the case. You actually have to write a letter and have it notorized before they will consider cancellation.  In the meantime you still owe the financing company for insurance you no longer need.  I found out about this companies fraudelent practices when I googled the phone number in an effort to cancel my policy on my lunch break since my information was at home(RUDE AWAKENING)bigtim

Called 1-866-364-3336 on 4/5/2011 spoke to Sean and asked to be taken off of their mailing list, etc. In a rude tone he replied, "why do you want to be taken off of our list." My response was, "because I never asked to be on your list and that I was tired of receiveing un solicited mail from them." SCAM SCAM SCAM. I should start sending them unwanted junk mail and see how they like it.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WARRANTY.  I made the mistake of buying into this fradulant policy and after a year and nearly $1000 they refused to pay the claim.  It is just one run around after the next.  They insisting on more and more documentation to ultimately refuse to pay anyway.  I  wish I would have done my homework first and I would have saved a lot of grief and aggrevation.  Dean, Kevin, Phillip, Jeff, Randall they are all a bunch of B...S... artists, they just feed you all kinds of nonsense and refuse to pay out  Save your money.  check the BBB, they have over 140 complaints against them, I am one of them.  Don't waste your time or money.

I too received the CarSafe (Enterprise Financial Group) letter in the mail. I called and spoke to Jennifer and then to another manager to get special approval for a vehicle with over 100K miles.
My Trailblazer just went out of 100K mile warranty.  They offered me the same deal of 5 years at $695 per year for a total cost of $3475.  Also offered the payment plan of $495 down and $248.33 installments for 12 months. This plan would then have a $100 deductible.

Before purchasing, I called my local Chevrolet service man who has taken care of many of my chevrolet vehicles. He had never heard of this company and advised me to do more research before purchasing.
He gave me key questions to ask any aftermarket insurance:
How much do they pay for hourly labor?
Do they use OE parts or aftermarket parts?
Do they pay by credit card?

Thanks to everyone and their posts, I have decided to not go forward with this company.
I think I may have saved myself some money and frustration.

Or maybe Mike is not really Mike and maybe Mike is paid by the company to go out and post positive comments for them?

The first time I got a letter from these jerks(CARSAFE) I told them they had wrong information.  They were telling me my warranty was expiring.  HELLO...I hadn't even owned the car 3 years yet and my extended warranty did not expire until 2015.  I told them to take my name off there list.  They said they would, BUT, today I got a 2nd attempt letter. I don't think these people even passed kindergarten!!  What does TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST mean??
Get your facts right, then don't call or send me anything.  If I need extended coverage, I'll go elsewhere.

Received the same mailing as others. Must be a scam. Has anyone contacted the FTC or ICC? CarSafe marketing practices are illegal.

"Did u find out if it's fake or real, Im sure its a fake company!  I just called them and they presurised me to give my credit card number now!  They were sooo forceful that I need to give them my credit card now, that I knew rt away something was wrong. and were extrememly rude and when I told them in the end that forget it, I dont want your insurance. They asked me why I declined so I told them bc you guys r extremely rude pushy and bad customer service.  They started getting personal and telling me oh r ur feelings hurt, or ur pride is hurt.  I just hung up on them telling them theyre ridiculous!
Very obvious that it's a scam!

Wow, and I thought I was the Lone Ranger.  I received a solicitation letter in the mail so I called them up to inquire about their program.  The representative (Bradly) called me a liar and insulted my intelligence.  I told him in conversation that I was waiting for the new 2012 Cadillac DTS to hit the show room (dues this year) before committing to anything because i was seriously considering getting a new one.  He said there was no change from 2011 to 2012 and the 2012s were already out.  I begged to differ with him and he basically called me a liar and when I disputed this with him, he hung up.  I called back and spoke to his supervisor (yea right) and he was as obnoxious as Brad was.  These people are out of control.
