Got mail from Car Safe to call them at 1-866-364-3336 to "Extend Your Vehicle Coverage".  I called 02/09/2010 & Robb, the sales person, answered.  He looked up my car (2006 Chev Malibu), asked how many miles (53,700) and in a doubtful voice said it's hard to cover a high mileage vehicle.  Then transferred me to the approval dept.
That person asked about repairs completed, accidents & if it ran ok now; also warned me they didn't want any fraud situations.  Satisfied, she sent me back to Robb.
Robb didn't want to answer my questions, still worried about high miles and in general gave me smart-ass remarks vs answers to questions.  I hung up as I sensed I was wasting my time.
Robb called back & said I really needed protection since I even had trouble using a phone.  I asked how long he'd been in sales.  Since he was 14, said Robb.  I asked if he hadn't figured insults don't lead to a sale.  He responded that when he sold cars he greeted customers with " Gosh!  How'd you make it here in that thing".  Again I hung up, or had trouble using my phone.

I just spoke to the manager "Chris" at customer service about the above mentioned problem and he was very responsive and professional about all of it.  He assured me that was not the way to speak to a potrntial client.  We had a nice conversation about this event and about the other complaints on this site.  If you have a complaint, call 801-783-4929 for resolution.

Thanks everyone for your posts. I just called carsafe and was told exactly what everyone else was told. I am not trying to contact the original person
that I spoke with (Krista Zielinski) and send her some of the results that I got when I searched on "carsafe" and "enterprise finiancial group. I want this company to see what's  being said about them on the web before I report the to the Federal Trade Commission.
Federal Trade Commission.  The government has the power to sue these companies.

Got our little second notice last week.  Decided to check it out and saw this site.  Also have seen on another location that the Government officials of MO have filed suit against Carsafe for several reasons.  also appears that they sell auto additives, not service contracts to get around MO laws protecting the consumer.

BUYER BEWARE      If you have bought, contact the BBB...I see several listings of resolution when they put on the screws.  this business is not BBB approved and has an alert on it.

DO NOT !!! DO NOT !!!! DO NOT purchase an extended warranty through this company . I purchased the warranty because I purchased a 2004 Ford Explorer and thought it would be better to be safe than sorry . The policy goes into effect only after you hit 1 month from the day of purchase AND 1,000 miles . But , hope you dont have any issues you want looked at shortly after those milestones because they will look at this as your trying to pull one over on them and screw you . I heard a loud pop making a left turn one night and also had some slow engaging of the tranny when putting the car in reverse . I took it to a shop and sure enough there were issues with the transfer case and the tranny totaling $ 3,400 . When the repair shop called me , he said EFG needed me to contact them about this . When I called , I spoke to some young punk [***] clown named Chris ( ext. 8293 I believe ) who more or less accused me of fraud . Needless to say , he told me they would have to send one of their guys to inspect the issue to see if it was " pre-existing " . When they say pre-existing , you know your screwed . They sent an inspector and my claim was denied because of " pre-existing " conditions . Maybe I am a complete moron but isnt it possible for any part , on any car at any time to break , snap , be faulty from the beginning etc. , etc. ? My point is , at any time for any repair , these jack [***] can claim " pre-existing " on anything they want . I understand that they want to protect themselves from people who want to rebuild their car with warranty repairs but basically accusing me of fraud from the get go and then denying my claim when there is a documented history of these exact issues I was having , is going to cost you all . Charging $ 2,127 for a 5 year warranty and then denying claims is big business I understand but I am making it my mission in life to make sure that those people who research aftermarket warranties as I did , will know to stay away from Enterprise Financial Sercices .

P.S. - even calling to discuss reimbursement for rental car use was a hassle . Every woman that answered the phone acted as if I was bothering them and they were the customer . I considered launching a verbal attack of my own on them to remind them who the customer was but my kids were around . Another thing for you potential buyers to consider

You are all wondering how they get the info on your cars? It's easy to do, and because your insurance company sends this or should I say SELLS this info out to companies in bulk. The Dealer does this too for money. Take CarFax for example, did you know you can walk up to any car in the USA today and take down the VIN number on the window. Then go home and enter the VIN code into CarFax or 10 other companies and either get basic info or pay $14.00 and get all the info on the car, the Owner, address for the owner, the Bank info from the purchase, your repair center for history. Now just think about how easy it would be to be a stalker, or someone wanting to do harm to the owner or worse. The FTC does not care about these companies at all and you are waisting you time filing complaints to them, these companies are small change to them. I've had the above happen to me! The nightmare that followed was just that a nightmare! I tell everyone now to slip a square of paper in front of the VIN number in the window. But all this info is out there to get and then to  mess with you to fork over you money.

I called the Nissan dealers and they never heard of Car Safe or Enterprise Financial Services.  Also, the service dept at Nissan said that this companies will not pay until a signed bill is faxes to them.  In the meantime, your car will not be released by the dealer, while waiting for payment.

All of you who have posted on this board are clearly uneducated and extremely ignorant. Just because the BBB says this or that, or your dealer says this or that, you just believe it to be true. And yes I do sell extended car warranties, no I dont work for Car Safe, and yes the company I work for is legit. The owner of my company has paid claims out of his own pocket when they have been denied b/c the customer was still inside their 30 day grace period. The BBB itself is a scam, see this 20/20 investigation of the BBB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo8kfV9kONw and these car dealers whom you all trust so much are ALL ON COMMISSION AND THEY HAVE THEIR HANDS SO FAR IN YOUR POCKETS AND YOU CANT EVEN FEEL IT, its pathetic really. The dealer I bought my Audi from is great and they took great care of me, but I know what they are after, so I dont trust his judgement, I make decesion, I decide based on what is best for me. Of course your car dealer doesnt want you to have a warranty, how are they gonna sell you a car when you have that 4 thousand dollar  repair if you have coverage for it. And you complain that Car Safe asks for your your credit card, clearly you have never worked in any kind of business, you probably clean toilets for a living. If you dont ask for the sale then you will not get paid, anyone who knows even the most basic fundamentals of business would know that. Enterprise Financial Group had an A+ and was accredited with the BBB for yrs but were recently reduced to an F, the BBB is being sued over the matter and is being investigated for fraud. EFG was lowered to an F b/c they require a 30 grace period for claims, THAT IS AN INDUSTRY STANDARD PEOPLE!!!!! Anthem Blue Cross, my health ins. provider, required a 1 YR grace period on pre-existing conditions. So please don't comment on matters that you obviously know absolutely nothing about, it makes you look..... well to put it lightly.... extremely stupid. You are type of overly liberal, under educated, over complaining idiots that are causing the collapse of this great nation, thank-you for taking something so beautiful as freedom of speech and absolutely destroying it... Thank-you and enjoy the rest of your day!!!

EFG has demonstrated unscupulous business tactics.  I believe they prey on the most vulnerable when they refuse payment on a legitimate claim.  My advice is simple:  start with a registered, return-receipt letter to John Pappanastos, Pres. at EFG, and pile on with BBB complaint, Atty. General etc.  It worked for me, after several denials.  I personally wonder if Pappanastos knows how terribly the claims department treats his customers.  Best to you all.

    Dude...
You must be a flamer, but please keep it to yourself.  Before you get into other posters and their mothers, check that your own house is in order (viv-a-vis : "decesions").  I assure you that I have more degrees than that rectal thermometer that you suck on, and anyone making claims within the "standard" 30 days or 1000 miles should be referred back to their contract.  At the same time, I think it is nonsense for claims to be denied on the basis of "pre-existence" after this waiting period.  The onus is entirely on the warranty provider to PROVE pre-existence, rather than denial based on their self-serving OPINION.  Pappanastos spins a good story on u-tube, but the EFG situation makes me wonder if he's not just a Greek Doucebag in disguise.  Proceed accordingly.

Yes the CarSafe offer reads as being manipulative.     Using the types of statements that are leading a reader to tap into their fears or natural desire to get something of value to themselves for what otherwise, seems to the customer as promising to a good deal for the consumer.

Never did the notice they sent me indicate that they even knew what make of vehicle they wanted me to insure with them.      The offer for an extended warranty program, they sent was full of deceptive looking  statements and page layout formatting.   That offer contained lots of buzz phrases known in the marketing business to generate their target customers an urgency and fear of failure to respond.

Already lots of "red flags" are apparent in Requested For Immediate Action-Time Sensitive Material Enclosed  piece of mail they sent me.

Thanks to those above who reported the responses they got when calling the phone number that the mailed out sales literature demanded be called.

So many "Red Flags," and that should fully settle the matter for potential customers to know they should not call that phone number.     They should also never give that company any more information about themselves, their vehicles, their credit card numbers, or any other of their personal identity or financial data.
