My husband just got off the phone with a customer service rep from Maytag and is he upset.  We have a 3000 series washer that we have had for 2 years.  It started making a very loud noise during the spin cycle, so we called to see what the problem could be and how to rectify it.  Customer service pretty much shuffled him around (transferring his call so that he actually spoke to and explained the situation to three separate people).  The first person told him that they had been having issues with this problem and that the labor and parts would be covered.  He then transferred to another person to get further information.  Once my husband gave the second person all the information, she then transferred him to the third person, who basically told my husband that he could purchase the extended warranty, roughly $316, and that might cover the problem and be in effect for one year.  He declined that offer, since the first person told him the parts and labor would be covered.  The third person told my husband that the first agent had "misspoke". Once he was off the phone I told him I would look this problem  online and see what it could be and I was surprised to see that this is a REGULAR REOCCURING problem with this washer that the company is WELL aware of.  Very frustrating to learn that the company does not stand behind the product and take better care of the customers who loyally purchase their products.   Hopefully we can get our washer fixed and it will last awhile longer. We are calling our local repairman, from the company that sold us the machine to see what can be done.  But, we will not be purchasing another Maytag product.

Bought Maytag Bravos in October 2012. It started making very loud noises during Spin Cycle two months ago.
Will Maytag fix this as a faulty design?

My washer is just over 3 years old and it also sounds like an airplane taking off during the spin cycle...I decided to purchase a Samsung washer. Hoping it will be a better product. With all of the posts it sounds like we all bought lemons...sound like they need to recall and fix it for free like car dealers have to!!!!

Same with mine. Will not spend  money to repair, and will NEVER again purchase another Maytag.
Also purchased a Msgtag dishwasher that stopped working just months after the warrantee ran out.

I have a Maytag Bravo washer that is now 5 years old and it is making a very loud noise recently too with the spin cycle. It goes through all the cycles fine but very loud and noisy. Sounds more like a tapping sound during the spin cycle. Love my matching maytag washer and dryer and hope someone can give me some info on how to get it fixed! thank you

    WAR WITH MAYTAG
I purchased the maytag 3000 series matching set in red back in nov 2009.  Right about 2 years later the bearings start going out.  (that loud noise while spinning)  was told by a repair man that it is such a hug repair job and expensive that it wouldn't be worth it.  The warranty was expired.  I kept using it with that noise until just last week when now the water pump went out.  Called a repair man and he said to fix both problems would be over $1,000,  one thousand !!!   Dollars.  This machine is only 6 years old and has been making the loud bearing noise for some time but was living with it.  Now have to buy new.  I am so angry.  I will never again buy maytag.  Has anyone found a way to have them pay for this?

Have maytag Bravos, spin cycle sounds like a jet engine.  I guess I,m lucky mine lasted for 5 years. Also have a maytag dishwasher another piece of crap.  Will be buying german apliances for my next place and getting x waranty as well.  for my washer drier combo I will go to second hand place and buy the old, dependable repairable stuff.  I don,t care it it looks old and doesn,t match as long as it does the job.  So long Maytag guy.

Does everyone that has a Maytag have a reason for why the tub doesn't fill up with water? I can understand the whole idea of an energy saving appliance, but come on. my dirty clothes are just turning in enough water to soak dirt in deeper. shouldn't every washer at least wash in enough water to exceed its level of clothing?

I bought my Maytag 3000 series washer and dryer in August of 2013. From the very beginning it has made pulls in my clothes, the nylon/ poly fabric! My husband and I have felt all around the drums of the washer and dryer feeling nothing sharp or out of the ordinary. I have ruined Nike shirts shorts and even tablecloths. I have discovered though the dryer is the worse culprit. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm nervous after hearing the noises you all are experienced, I have not had that experience yet! Let me know if anyone else is having this problem! Thanks!!

Maytag Washer 3000 series purchased in 2009.  Noise in spin cycle.  Bearing replacement should be about $105.00 for bearing kit, $180.00 labor.  Or you can do it yourself and save the labor.  Google "maytag bravos washer noise during spin" and then watch the video from SMU:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44nCWA5CHPw  Two hour job, level intermediate, if you have the required tools.

We too hate maytag. Bravos washer is not even 4 years old and I cannot tell you how many times we have repaired it. We have listened to the load roar for about 6 months and now it leaks terrible. Price to fix it is ridiculous and we do repair work, so this is parts alone. Maytag only offered us a new washer at half-price. I do not want anything else from this crap company. Did I mention we can not use our stand pipe with it bc it tears up clothes and causes so much lint that it clogs up our pipe? Ugh. Maytag sucks.

We also have a Maytag 3000 Series Front load washing machine.  Right after our 5-year Warranty ran out, we had to replace the bearings.  These bearings were supposed to be lifetime bearings; however, not even 3 months later, it is doing it again.  We bought this at our local Sears in 2010, which has now closed.  Apparently there is nothing we can do after reading all of these messages.  Purchase price of both the washer and dryer was well over $2000, with the 5-year extended warranty.  My machines are both red in color, so I have been trying to find a red washing machine to match my red dryer.  Impossible to find, and I know I am going to have to have a mix-match, or buy a complete new set when we replace it.  My dryer works great, though.  Knock on wood!  :)

We replaced the bearings and seals as suggested in a post and it still sounds like an aircraft during the spin cycle. I should have taken a coworkers advice but my father and I spent 6 hours replacing bearings.

    Maytag Loud Series 300
Just as everyone else on this forum we also have a Maytag washer that sounds like a jet is crashing. The name of this washer alone should be enough to sue for false advertising - ( Maytag Bravos " Quite Series" 300 )?? I'm mean, Seriously? Quite Series!! This has to be some kind of sick joke by Maytag. They must laugh everytime someone buys one. I can hear them now, " Ha Ha we got another sucker that just bought a "Quite Series" LOL LOL..... After just two years it literally sounds like a jet inside our house. Our laundry room is at the opposite end of the house and we can't hear the TV or anyone talking when it's spinning. It's gotten so bad I really think it may fly apart sending parts and pieces flying through the walls. Terrible craftsmanship!! Pure Junk!!
