A Mr, Arnold Snyder allegedly from the Las Vegas Sweepstakes Company called my elderly mother this week and has repeatedly called her now a dozen times, claiming that she has won $5 million and a new Mercedes.   Luckily mom hasn't given him any of her personal information yet, and lucky that she told my wife and I about it too.

Mr. Snyder has claimed that he is coming to visit her on Monday to get her to sign the paperwork for the alleged win.   I wish that I had all the phone numbers involved but Mr. Snyder called from a (607) Area Code 699 Prefix number that showed-up on a reverse phone lookup as being in the little town of Nichols, NY, on the Southern Tier Expressway about halfway between Elmira and Binghamton, near Tioga Center.

Mr. Snyder has claimed that the win is from a Jamaican lottery and that a woman by the name of Sasha Henry of Fayetteville, GA is the US lottery manager.   He also told mom not to tell anyone so that she could surprise her family and friends later once she had her winning in-hand.   An Arnold Snyder is listed in a Google search as being a professional gambler in the US but I will bet that this Arnold Snyder isn't the same person.

Just wanted to let people know that the Las Vegas Sweepstakes scam is still alive as of today, April 24th, 2015.

I live in Georgia and my dad got a call from George Tucker saying he won $8.5 million from mega millions and $55,000 cash on the first call he kept telling my dad this is not a scam this is not a scam that he won and he would be at our house at 1:30 on Monday that was pretty much how the next call went (now not once has he asked my dad for our address) the third call he explained that he would need $250.00 ( for processing fee) sent through western union to a Margie Hightower at 6239 condon ave la California 90056 he kept insisting that you have to send a little to get a lot and that he couldn't send the money until he got the processing fee.. Now if he won $55,000 cash why couldn't you just take the fee out of that.
His name: George Tucker # 876-843-2103

Received a phone call from Alan Morgan 619-356-6809 but the caller ID comes up as Alan Davis.  He told me that I won 2.5 million and gave me information to call American Savings Bank in California at 845-603-1316 gave me an account number 318190203 ti prove that I won this money and that it was there and available.  He then told me that I was to send $470.95 to a Glenn Painter in Pittsburg, PA by western union and my certified check would be delivered on Monday.  Thanks to these comments I was not fooled.

i get these calls all the time. I like to play along and gather as much info as possible, phone numbers, fake names, voice recordings and the addresses that the money is supposed to go to. Then I send it to the proper authorities. I think that this better than blogging it. The longer you talk to them the fewer people they can scam. ,

Today is Tuesday July 21st I have been receiving many  calls from 513 278 2358 from someone who calls himself JOHN GOODMAN saying that he is an agent from MEGA MILLIONS of LAS VEGAS and he was calling to tell me that I won a 2015 Mercedes Benz and 5.5 Million dollars, and I need to confirm my willingness to receive it. When I said that I was.he said that there was a required procedure that I needed to do.When I asked what that was, He said I said to send (by Western Union) the sum of $5.500. When I told him that I did not have it he said he could help me by reducing it to $385,00. I told him that I did not have that he said he would put in the $200.00 for me and all I had to pay was $185.00.. I told him OK but before I send him the money I needed the Head Office Tel number and address, he gave me 702 347 2313. I called that number and got a FREDERICK COOPER who told me that I must send the $185.00 to JOHN GOODMAN. (Both JOHN GOODMAN and FREDERICK COOPER sounded "NON AMERICAN". I told them both that I would get back to them.

This week I got a call from tony goodman telling me I had won $10 million and a car.  All I needed to do was call someone else in Hollywood to send them $150.  I kept telling him I thought it was a scam.  Then I looked up on the mega millions website and in three places they describe the tactics of the scam, and they were doing all of them.  He kept mentioning how Jesus had inspired him to call me!  I told him that I did a Google search on his phone number and it said it was in China.  He said he was actually out delivering the third place prize on a private jet in China.  Then he told me that he would give me the phone number of another winner from queens Jamaica.  I said I didnt believe or want to talk to a plant in Jamaica, and then he said he meant queens New York.  The next morning he called again.  I told him that I called the mega millions office myself and that they told me I wasnt a winner and that they had never heard of tony goodman.  I told him that they told me to call the police and ftc.  He then said, well if they told you that, then you should.  Then he said he would email me a copy of instructions and a picture of him holding my big check.  I told him that I would have my attorney and the police review it first.  I hung up, and he never emailed or called again.  Phone number. 876-586-6430.  Total scam...glad I didn't do anything.   But I can see how people could be duped.

I got a call from a man named Ben Johnson; said he was representing Publishers Clearing House and I was a winner of $750,000 in a cashiers check, plus $5,000/month, plus a new 2015 GMC Danali.  He said his company name was American Megamillion Sweepstakes & Lottery, located at 328 Queens Blvd. Fort Washington, NY.  He had me write down a winning number, a confirmation number and a check claim number for the supposed package that was going to deliver.  He said all I need to do was go to one of a dozen stores and go to the Money Gram to send to a person in the amount of $138.15, which was suppose to pay for a portion of the IRS taxes and shipping and handling of the delivery package.  While on the phone he asked me to use another phone and call a phone number 1-866-996-5997 (which was a recording) and put in the check claim number -- I did that and the recording told me to proceed to the claim location.  I got back on the phone with this Mr. Johnson and he said he would call me the next morning before I go to the Walmart Money Gram location.  He called this morning and kept me on the phone from when we were getting ready to leave through the entire time when we were in the car and driving to Walmart.  He told me to go into Walmart and get the Money Gram request and then come back to my car to fill it out.  I picked up the request, went back to my car and thankfully on the instructions of the Money Gram it says "If you are sending money to claim lottery or prize winnings, DO NOT SEND the money transfer -- someone may be trying to seal your money."  That's all I needed to read to not go forward to send anyone any money.  Even after I read Mr. Johnson what the instructions said and advised him we would NOT be sending any money -- he still persisted in calling my cell phone at least 6 times -- he even got angry on the phone.  He also gave me the phone number of 1-876-783-7281 for this American Megamillion Sweepstakes & Lottery in New York.  Mr. Johnson's phone number is 876-571-9504.  The number of calls to my phone from Mr. Johnson was 17 calls.  Even after I repeated told him to "cease and desist" calling, he kept calling.

I just received a call from 876-889-9190 telling me I just won 355,000; a washer and dryer; and a 2016 Chrysler. They want me to send them money and I'll receive my prize tomorrow at 11:30 to my home. I was believing them and going along with it until I read these comments. They even gave me a confirmation code to call another number, 866-996-5997 to confirm I won 100 percent. I'm still on the phone with them and they still trying to convince me that they are legal.

I just received a call from David Jefferson. He said I had won 2.5 million and they would be emailing me a letter since I never got it in the mail. He kept saying my name was pulled out of a drawing at one of the retailers I shop at, but would not tell me where because I might tell everyone and they would try to win too. He said, you keep sounding skeptical. I said yeah, until  you hang up the phone I will sound this way. I gave them my email address so I could read something. First of all, it looked fraudulent and was poorly written. The kicker was when I got to the last page and it said my money would be sent as soon as I paid my surcharge. Number was based in Jamaica.

I blocked the phone number from Mr. Jefferson and he called back later from an unknown number and when I did not answer he called from a Georgia number. I answered and told him I was not interested and hung up. He called right back and called my name and said nothing else.
