Called 877-217-9567Forward Movement Recovery  Spoke with Jon, however Sarah left a message on my boyfriends home phone. According toi Jon I applied and received 2 payday loans via an online application that I did not pay back using a banks account at Wells Fargo which I never had. He stated the name of an employer that I have not been employed with for over 5 years as reference.. I stated I needed a few minutes to research the company. Right away he said that the reviews would be bad. HA the reviews state this is a scam and I totally believe it,  I will not be calling back and if they call again I will pursue leagl action or at least get the word out to the public they are a scam.

Received a message from Sarah as well concerning the "whereabouts and tracing" of a particular individual. When I called back I spoke with John. He asked me if I knew the whereabouts of the same person. I informed him I had no idea who this person was and asked why they called me and what company they were with. He said "FMR", "which stands for what?" I asked "Forward Movement Recovery" was the response. He then became rude with me and said I "sure ask a lot of questions considering I don't know the individual". Sounds like a total scam to me! What if I had known the individual, then what?

Got a call today from a Betsy Boyd saying that I have breached a contract of a pay day loan(loan was supposed to be paid by a abusive ex boyfriend who knows if it was) from 2yrs ago I was told the loan was for 300$ but interest had made it 700$ that I had 3 options that I could pay 700$ settle out for 400$ or be arrested for fraud. I paid 25$ today but immediately called the bank and canceled card and reported it as stolen and fraud. They said my phone number was linked to my ssn number which is not true. My phone is in my husbands name we have only been married 1 month and I have not legally changed my name. This company prayed on a emotional 8months pregnant woman very upset that I let it happen

I too was contacted around the exact same time as you but by a woman named Genave saying almost the exact same thing. I too made a payment to them and called my bank and let them know what was going on. It wasn't until I came across this site that I realized that they were scammers. I even called and asked for the lady that called u Betsy Boyd. She was there. But how do we report them?

I too was just contacted and was told the exact same thing as every other person on here, and I informed them that if they are a real company they would be able to send me document showing what the loan is when and who took the loan out, the lady name Besty told me that, its my problem and I need to fits it, I then informed her that I was contacting the police while she was on the line with me and she hung up. I need to know what can be done about this.

Automated voice message left by "Sarah", who also called my brothers cell phone number. Tried to contact them back but only got voicemail.

I have gotten four or five calls from slightly different numbers that leave the same messages. I have not answered because I don't recognize the number. I'm glad I didn't answer, I have not taken out a payday loan in over eight years, which is past the cutoff for collections activity and credit reporting  in my state.

Seems FMR has bought some old, expired debt and are trying to collect.  if they can get you to verify your information and acknowledge the debt, it starts the clock over again and the debt becomes collectible.  Safest bet...just do not answer.  keep track of the calls and report them to the attorney general for your state.

I am getting a flurry of these calls from different debt collectors - it's all a scam.  I have reported them to Collectionbully.com, Texas Attorney General and even the FTC and FCC.  About all you can do is either play with them for your own entertainment or block the numbers.  I have never had a payday loan, NEVER.  The "verification" they claim to have is not my bank account, not my employer, not even my address, yet they continue to call.  They also refuse to provide written verification of this debt - a huge red flag immediately, that is a violation of the Fair Debt and Collections Act.

I am so glad i looked this up! this company has been leaving me messages as well. each call is from a different number (866)-866-7509, (877) 412-4086, (877) 414-1242. Each voicemail is from "Sarah". Obviously automated, but very passive aggressive. "Location and whereabouts"... makes it seem very scary and then it said "legal obligation will be taken and we will contact other references on file". WTF. That would scare anyone into calling them and giving away the correct information they need to screw you over!

    NOT okay at all!
They have been calling me to "hunt down" my mother. Of course when I call back this company the representative I spoke to, "Chris", was VERY rude and did not give me any information because I was not the person they were trying to find.
I asked him "what company are you affiliated with and what do you want with my mother?!" his reply was, "Oooohh she's your mother... okay. goodbye." then he hung up on me?!!?!?!

    so sketchy !!!!

I called back and spoke to a "Becky".
I explained to her that, "I have been receiving calls and i want to know what company you are. My mother is a recent widow and she does not need BS scammers calling her and trying to take advantage of her."
Becky replied with, "I understand. Your mother will need to call and speak to me. I cannot discuss anything with a third party." then hung up.

Best thing to do is let these calls go to voicemail, report it, and block them!

I knew it was a scam when they called asking for my brother.  I have gotten several calls like this looking for him.  I haven't spoken to my brother in over 6 years, but being the bratty little sister I am, I called back and gave them his number.  Is that bad?

I got a call from them today and the guy seemed very nice about it. I told him,i would need to contact my lawyer and he gave me until Thursday to get back to them. Just received a message from my ex husband's wife telling me they called her looking for me. I am not sure how they got her number. I don't even have it. I am over these companies trying to scam hard working people.

My calls were the same.  I spoke to "Nick" and he said I owed for payday loans also.  I explained to him I have NEVER applied for a payday loan in my life, he said I must have forgotten.  And on top of that I only found out through my nephew in Europe!  I was forwarded to another company by "Nick" because I said I need more information.....the company is closed! So I will be reporting FMR!
