I got an SMS from Airtel that if I recharge for Rs.49 I will receive the SMS pack value RS.2000. I went and recharged to 49rs and immediately received a SMS that my SMS pack will be activated in 48 hours.
When in 48 hours I didn't receive the promised pack I called their customer service. A representative told me that my number is not in their database. I thought I call again because obviously it was a mistake and I thought their system had a temp. glitch.
I called again, this time they told me the promotion has expired. But how come I received an SMS that my pack will be activated in 48 hours???

I am really not satisfied with your Airtel representatives.
I am from Pune. I have given one written complaint in your Vega Center, Pune on 1st Sept. 2007.
They told me that they will process that application/Complaint and let me know after 2 days.
But as of today (10th Sept. 2007) I am not able to get any feedback from your representatives.
I am tired with this kind of service.

From May 16 to June 16 my balance was automatically deducted thru GPRS that was Rs. 360/-
From 16 May to till date I m struggling to get may balance back.
From that day i was unable to use my card for internet which i had taken just for net.
Following are the peoples who know my case but they are not cooperating me.

Now I am fedup with your people & I want My money Back in cash/cheque
because I don't Want to use your card.
This was my first Experience with Airtel & last also. I have wasted my Rs.800/- on Airtel.
The kind of language which your people used is very rough. I personally feel that You hired people from Slum are with quota system.

these Airtel Guys and for that matter all indian mobile companies are chors
bloody chors.
I refilled for a lifetime membership and try as i may the damn thing would not register. I phoned the helpdesk and those dumb [***] at the desk did not know anything except repeating what was on the monitor screen.
After a few days I tried and Voila! it worked.
Point is,that Indian mobile companies really cheat the public. In no other country do they have service cost. If you buy 100 dinars from Etisalat for example you get full 100 dinars talk time. Indian companies give big bashan
but cheat you in the end.
Overall companies are looking for opportunities to get extra money with all means possible. they have staff that come up with new ideas regularly. but they may not be able to update systems or train staff to give good server for thes enew schemes. hence be careful if you are running around lucrative new offers. Sometimes the higher-end staff might not have even properly evaluated these offers.
I focus on basic service and performance more then add ons and quick replies to new requirements. I found Airtel better then others.
if you want to buy addons and special services, it will be better to check with friends who already have it activated and using it.
