I am having same issues of Peeling leather sofa withing 9 months of purchase. I bought the warranty then also they deny saying that peeling is not covered in the warranty.

Less than 1 year should also be covered in manufacturing warranty but still they find excuse to deny it.

Please all of you login to www.bbb.org and file a complaint with Better Business beaureau. It takes less than 5 minutes to file the complaint and they will start addressing your complaint right away. File your complaint against both Ashley Furniture and Montage Furniture (Warranty Company) This will also reduce their BBB rating and BBB can take action against them it they are genuine issues reported to them.

It is better than putting your complaint here on this forum.  :(

I repair peeling bonded leather almost everyday..Bonded leather is leather sawdust mixed with polyurethane on backing fabric..It breaks down in 3-4 years..Vinyl even holds up better than blended leather..www.ncfurniturerepair.com

I paid $1900 for a leather look (bonded blend) and purchased the extended warranty that an Ashley sales person pitched to me "anything that happens will be covered."  Two years into purchasing the "San Marco" sectional, it starts to show some peeling, I call the warranty provider and let them know that I happened to notice this small tear, they ask "how many days ago did this occur?" I say, "I don't know, I just saw it, why?". That say, well it apparently didn't happen within the mandatory five day reporting period, so we are not going to covert it! After exposing that I don't watch my couch with baited breath and cussing the lady out, I have resolved to letting everyone know how crappy Ashley's furniture is, and that buying these "extended warranties" are a rip off!

We are having the same, HORRIBLE, problem with our peeling "bonded leather" furniture, after being promised by the no-longer-there-saleswoman that the warranty covered "everything".  Every time we call the warranty company, they switch the reason WHY it's not a covered item. Heck, the same saleswoman told us it even covered animal claws, which we now know is a complete LIE!!

I called AF customer service yesterday and the girl admitted there WAS a recall of the durabond some years back and perhaps THATS why we have HUGE areas of missing color.  The person I need to call is "Diane", who won't be in until tomorrow.  She said we will probably need to take pictures of the damage AND the tags under the furniture for proof.  No problem.

"Diane" will be told, in no uncertain terms, that if Ashley DOESNT do SOMETHING to rectify this problem , we will be loading up the love-seat in the back of our big, red pick up, along with HUGE signs stating the CRAPPY furniture and customer service Ashley Furniture has, and drive around the TriCities area of VA/TN for months, and hopefully get the local news involved.  If THAT doesn't work, then we will drop all of their sh***y furniture at the front door one night, along with more signs, take photos and hopefully get press coverage of THAT too!!

We spent over $2000 on this crap and I had previously stated I would NEVER buy from Ashley, based solely on their cheap, ugly orange/blue/yellow logo...it WREAKS of cheapness and tackiness.  But...we needed new furniture after moving from FL and it was purely an impulse buy...sealed by an unscrupulous sales woman who sold us a bill of goods on the warranty.

Stay tuned!!! This could be FUN!!!😈

I have the same problem and I'm very upset!  I called and of course the salesman advised me about the warranty. It's gotten worse. I'm looking for something to cover it with!  Ashley will not get any more of my money.

Disappointed! replies to NC Furniture Repair
All of it does not break down in 2 to 4 years, but we purchased an expensive sofa and love seat and it was peeling in 6 Mos.  It works great if you never sit on it, but now why would we buy something to never sit on.  Aggravated!  Would never purchase this crap again.  Some furniture stores won't even carry it anymore!  Could have gotten leather for 1, 000.00 more money and well worth it.  We listened to a salesperson who lied to make a sale.  It was new and they thought it was going to be great.  Bought at Homeplace, which is now Hanks in Pensacola, FL and isn't it amazing that we are not in the computer system anymore and the same person owns both, Homeplace and Hanks.  He just changed the name to Hanks.  Probably had to many law suites!

So my $1900 couch has now completely peeled and is useless to me. Ashley Furniture should have recalled this material! Of they only knew that just being affiliated with these warranty providers directly reflects on them, they might want to take a second look at how these providers are rolling ot their follow through with the warranties, and read the writing on "the wall"!

We bought a tweed like couch from Big Lots 10 months ago and 4 months ago the top of the one of the back cushions came apart at the seam.  I tried to fix it but with this type of material you can't sew it because it comes unraveled.  Now one the middle cushion on each of the edges has come undone and on corner of the chase lounge has come undone all at the seams.  Is there any way to send a complaint to the corporate office?  Yes I have pets so expected wear and tear but the seams shouldn't be splitting especially when it's been less than a year, I mean you have to sit on your furniture.

Small claims court would do nothing nor would "demanding a refund" seeing as how you sign a contract saying all sales are final.
