I am having same issues of Peeling leather sofa withing 9 months of purchase. I bought the warranty then also they deny saying that peeling is not covered in the warranty.

Less than 1 year should also be covered in manufacturing warranty but still they find excuse to deny it.

Please all of you login to www.bbb.org and file a complaint with Better Business beaureau. It takes less than 5 minutes to file the complaint and they will start addressing your complaint right away. File your complaint against both Ashley Furniture and Montage Furniture (Warranty Company) This will also reduce their BBB rating and BBB can take action against them it they are genuine issues reported to them.

It is better than putting your complaint here on this forum.  :(

Same exact problem with Ashley furniture. Paid to recover loveseat on two different occasions  now recliner is starting. No children involved. Just a retired couple. I'm totally disappointed and disgusted.

RAYMOUR AND FLANAGAN  sold us a leather set and in two years started peeling on arms, seat and head rest. We contacted bbb and they did nothing also RAYMOUR did nothing.  WASTE OF TIME. WILL NOT BUY FROM RAYMOUR AGAIN.

We are currently going through the same problem. However, the salesperson failed to show us the disclaimer on their service plan that says we have to be within 75 miles of one of their stores (N.J., P.A.). He knew we were military and were getting orders. Now I live in Hawaii and the only thing they would do is send us the material sections, but I have to pay someone to replace them. I called and left messages to the store manager 3 times and have not received a call back. They are refusing to transfer a store credit to my local Ashley which we've talked to the manager here and he said it's possible for them to do. The quote I have for the repair is more than I paid for the furniture. I submitted a claim to the BBB and it kept being transferred and ended up at the warranty company. All they are offering is prorating my service plan and refunding me $70. We just submitted a second BBB claim a few minutes ago so we'll see what happens.

I have the same problem but at least my couch, love seat and recliner didn't start peeling for at least 4 years.  I'm done with Ashley furniture and I will let all my friends know about the sorry furniture they sell.

Same exact problem as all of you, except I bought my couch, love seat and recliner at Living Spaces.  They made their sale and brush you off.

We bought a leather couch and an oversized chair and we had the same problem. We bought the warranty and it won't cover it because it is  considered wear marks. These are not wear marks at every seam the arm rest foot rest have blotchy looking marks. Like someone threw some kind of liquid on it and took the color out. This furniture is absolutely defective and started showing these signs before one year was up. But I couldn't do anything according to them. Now I'm stuck with $3,000.00 worth of crap.
I can't just go out and but new ones, I think they should stand behind their product.

I had the same problem with peeling.  We bought a couch and also a loveseat that had recliners on each end. Within the first year peeling started couldn't realize what was happening suddenly within the year both couches were peeling at the  head and on the recliner  at the feet and arms.  The place I bought it said there was no guarantee. I had to go out and buy new couches and chairs.  I will not trust Ashley again.

I bought a beautiful sectional, wasn't cheap, also bought the 5yr warranty. After almost 2 years the entire thing is peeling. Contacted company, they seem to be working with me, well they wanted a lot of paperwork, which I sent, so will see if they honor the warranty. If not will  contact BBB!!!

They got me too. Just over a year old and peeling on the arm rests. Never been in direct sunlight, no children, no abuse. No more Ashley furniture for me EVER!

I bought mine from big lots which i found out they are ashley. 2 years later the middle cushion on my sofa is peeling horribly and the creases r starting to peel as well. I bought it at big lots on sale and after a 1 yr the springs popped out if the left side. I didn't pay thousands but i sure as hell didn't expect for it to look so nasty after 2 years. Have no idea who to complain to and if after 2 years do i have a complaint. And i live alone don't have a lot of people sitting on my sofas.

I just thought that Ashley Furniture was just a great quality store that sold high quality furniture at a higher price because of the quality of the furniture. I am recently married and my husband and I were looking for what we thought was great quality furniture so we went to Ashley and purchased a highly expensive "leather sectional" of over $2000.00 and within a year it has started cracking and peeling. We took pictures and talked to the manager and various folks at the Warranty place and was told that our furniture was not under warranty. My question is why would Ashley encourage us to purchase this warranty that is obviously NOT any good to us at all, especially if its not going to cover any of the damage(s) at all? So I researched the various types of "leather" and its obvious that this is not real or genuine leather at all that they (Ashley) claim that it is. So we have turned it over to the Fair Trade Act.

My grandson purchased a leather( support to be)  recliner and loveseat. Bought it in a store in Brookhaven, mississippi. He was in college and holding down a part time job. He worked really hard to both go to school and work. He move and left the furniture with us. It was in our house that was never used. No one sat on it. So when he took it back to use the so called leather started to peel . This is nothing but a rip off. The covering is no better or thicker than a cheap piece of material. The word leather should not appear on this !! It may not be important to the manufacturer, but people work hard for their money and can't afford to waste it. I would be totally ashamed to have my name on this product. The Ashley name is becoming associated with defected furniture. Good luck to getting people to buy so call leather furniture!
