ROBERT RICHMAN called my dads house today and left a message to call him so i did he told me he was an officer of the fbi and i took out a pay day loan in march of 2007 he said eme marketing didnt want to play games and to pay them or i will need a lawyer and go to jail then he goes to tell me if i dont pay triple what was borrowed they will take all i own

    same thing happened to me like 10 times...Its the same freaking stupid people...same numbers as u guys are getting calls from...Ya an Indian guy with the name John Smith...come the [***] on...i told him i hope he goes to prison and gets ass raped over and over again.

    I am Robert Richman and I am actually a real police officer in Texas and not a debt collector.  Whomever is calling you and making threats under the guise of being affiliated with law enforcement is nothing more than a deceptive police impersonator. As stated above, most if not all financial debt is a civil matter that is not dealt with by the filing of criminal charges. Anytime someone identifies themselves as a law enforcement officer, politely ask for their full name, badge number, agency name and primary agency phone number.  Then call and verify their identity.  A real cop will never hesitate in providing this info.

    I got a call Thursday from someone saying he was officer alex smith from a 818 area code he told me I took out a loan with cash advance usa and had to pay 1200.00 by 5 30 or I will. E arrested at my work or home. Indian accent hard to understand. Told me I had three charges aginst me and the us government had a hold on my ss#. He went as far as to give me a badge # 2307 and a file number on my case.  I called the police they told me to tell him to call them.  I called cash advance usa told me they had nothing in my name.  How can these people be stopped

    I got a call from 125463251452 and they said they were Cal. Attorney. And that I need to verify my info and I said it was private info and hung up they called right back and I didn't answer they haven't called back yet

    I have gotten a call from a person st. he was Robert Jackson, crackled noise on the line and other people talking in the background. St. he was from USC, and then said United States Crime Bureau. I am sick of stupid people calling me .

    These people called me today and pretended to be a crime investigation division stating that my roommate was going to be arrested at 6:00 p.m.  My first question was how in the world they got my number when I was not even tied into this loan since it is not my loan.  Also, I told them that I knew that 1. They were people who were tapping into pay day loan sites, 2. Getting people's information that they should not have 3. making false claims.  

    They hung up on me, so I called back.  Then, I told them that I had filed a report with the real police and that they confirmed that they are not a collection agency, that there is no warrant for my cousin's arrest and not to send any money.

    He asked me then "Why are you messing up the business, we have children to feed?"  To which I replied no one is going to take money from our household that is not owed.

    I tool out a small payday loan on-line through CMG Lenders LLC Loan Co,I haven't been able to pay the $300 loan off.Its now at $525 that I owe. I have been getting terrible calls from someone saying they are Nicholis Black or Douglas Black,its hard to understand becuae he has a thick indian accent. He's calling from the number 408-905-1785,somewhere in California. He calls my family over and over again. He called my job a few days ago,which makes like 10 times that he's called there. I was working in the back,my manager comes to the back while on the phone with someone,having a pretty heated conversation. She told that person she did not believe them and that if one of her employees was under investigation for transferring funds in the co that she would have known about it. She told that person she was not giving any information out,took his number,and hung up the phone. She pulled me to the side and said that the person she was talking to had a thick indian accent and was gong by the alias of "officer Black" and that he told her that I was under investigation for transferring funds from the co to my Bank Of America account,and that he was CIA or FBI. I don't even have a Bank Of America account. I called that person back and it was the same person I had it out with a few days before. He said I needed to make a payment of nearly $800 on this $300 loan that I took about a month and a half ago. My manager got back on the phone with him and told him to never call back there again or she would call the police. I went into work after I had a day off and one of my co-workers told me that the same guy called back and said if he couldn't get in touch with me he was sending out a team of investigators. He has been discussing my debt with my sister-n-law and a friend of hers which I know is illegal. He has told her for me to pay him $450 instead of $800,and that if I don't,he is going to court to have me arrested because this deliquent loan is the result of cyber crime. I called the loan co and the said the loan was turned over to a collection agency but they don't know which one,and that the FBI and CIA doesn't get involved over $300 loans. My sister-n-laws friend is a parrallegal and he contacted this person,and this imposter is using and FBI agents officer number. How he has retained it,I don't know. I haven't payed the loan because I am the only one working. My husband is out of work and we have 4 children. I don't know what to do. If anyone can help me..Please feel free to call me..(276)-356-1429 is my cell number..but I live in Florida. I just moved here about 7 months ago. Thanks

    I am not saying this officially but some borrowers have discovered that they could just not pay the loans and get away with it. They put a stop payment on the check with their bank and sometimes change primary accounts and close the old one. Then they just make small payments to the lenders over time. You should always pay your debts but sometimes you may need to make payments.

    There is almost nothing a payday lender can do if you default on the loan especially if they start receiving $20 checks in the mail. They can threaten you but not really. Just tell them you feel threatened and that all communication from now on needs to be through the "mail only" or your will be reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission. Say put me on your "Do Not Call" list. Also put your number on the actual federal do not call list.

    these people are hilarious, but on a serious note I started receiving these calls at work, threatening me with them coming to my home and arresting me, getting me fired anything.....I told them don't call me anymore, and if you feel like that is what you have to do then do it.  They haven't come yet.  They just change the names and try some other tatic.  How can we stop them, we can't sue cause we don't know where they are?

    My husband works in a mine and so their phone is for emergency calls only. A man with a heavy Indian accent called for him on that line today threatening to have him arrested if we didn't give him a visa card number by fax by Friday to pay off a supposed payday loan for 450$. He also claimed he had the FBI watching us and to comply or else. My husband gave me the number when he got home which I called, and the same man answered that he had spoke to. I told him there was no way any of this was true along with the loan and that he needed to watch what he does or he would be the one in legal trouble and begging for HIS job. He said "Alright then mam, tell your husband I am having him fired from his job tomorrow.

    Brian Cruse has been calling me stating that hes a Police Officer an sating I owe money for a payday loan I dont what the hell hes talking about and i told him that, he said if i didnt pay i would go to jail and i would lose my job.  hes been calling me all day long for 8 days now, what am i to do ( help )

    Call and harass him as he have been doing to you. He knows now that everyone is on to the game he is playing. He thinks its a joke to him but the joke is on him.

    In Avon Park & Sebring FL they are doing the same thing! This is a scam!  They called my husband telling him that they wanted $400 by Friday, they don't tell you where you owe, just that it's a payday loan and they call from a restricted number and someone tells you that they are from your local police station and they will arrest you in X amount of days.Then they call another person and they try to coerce them to give information, and mind you, my relative's number is new and I NEVER ASKED HER FOR IT! And when you call the number, it doesn't say no company name, it just says dial an extension! 877-576-4895.

    Yep same crap just a different day. I get the same calls every month ever since i filled out one of the pay-day loan forms. I am sick of getting called and being told that i am being sued. well i have gotten so i tell them to mail me proof that i owe them money with in 7 days or to drop the case. they shut up or start asking me so your telling me what the law is? yes the law is they have 7 days to show you in writing that you owe them money or they drop the case.

    whenever you default the loan to payday loan company.. they sell your personal information to these people who run Hard Debt Collection Agencies with many agents continuously calling Defaulters for paying the loans off. Now since American Payday Companies sell these accounts, to get their finance even, and since these Collection Agencies have already paid for these accounts. It gets necessary for them to get their money back and get some more extra money back as profit. its the normal business same as every one does to make profit. when you think about these people being fraud..think about this.... American Payday loan companies who sale these accounts to Indian agencies.. not all accounts are real. not all people in the list of accounts owe them. so these American payday companies starts fraud business first and which is carried forward by the Indian Agencies.

    Some one mentioned in the above comment, that agent replied "why are u messing with our business? we have children to feed." yeah rite, its true. because they invest hell lot of money to buy these accounts, if defaulters do not pay loans back they won't be able to make their balance sheet even. In the terms of Law n order, it might be illegal to threat people. but think about American Business men who introduced this business of hard debt collection. who got their money from Indian agencies by selling 80% good accounts and 20% fake accounts..

    they have lot of fees to pay, agents who work nights n nights being awake to call you.. they are to be paid monthly, rent, internet, everything just like a real business. this business is real in India. i Hope i am clear with the "how this takes place" but believe me, not paying them back,if you owe, is not a good thing.. i do understand how people feel when they get calls when you owe no body... but sue those Payday Agencies who sold your accounts to some one in India...

    I was done the same bout 2 months ago. whiuch I have read this brfore. They do tell u all wat everyone talking about plz watever u do dnt fall for this mess its a scam. I know its a scam
