I purchased ''Maverick'' tv series from these crooks before I read about the dozens of complaints about this rogue trader.I would just like to warn people about purchasing complete tv series on the Internet,especially those series from the 1950's,the vast majority of which are not in the public domain.Stick with the reputably established online companies like AMAZON etc.

    They apparently got me too. Over a month ago I ordered and paid for the Wonder Years boxed set. I finally talked to someone online that said my order was in Canada and had not been shipped as of yet but was being processed. I feel they lied and I will never receive kevin and the family.
    I hate crooks.
    That's why they're going to hell!!!!!

    I too have been scammed. ordered all the Waltons for Christmas and havn't heard a thing. Have sent numerous emails but never receive a reply. Is there any way we can stop them or get our money back?

    good luck getting your money back from them.  The list keeps growing on people they have screwed over.  Seems like everyone I hear from either got faulty dvds or broken dvds and never got any money or satisfaction from them!

    I purchased a Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew DVD last July 2007.  I have had so many excuses about a DVD that has been at least 8 months on backorder.  I have never received item just emails of excuses.  A month ago I received an email stating to let them know if I wanted a refund.  I replied yes, but have never to date received the refund.  Today I received and email saying that it is on backorder and when the item comes in they will take the payment.  What payment I have already paid for this item why would I want to pay twice??  Can someone help me with advice on how to stop this and get my refund.  The company must be thick, I have since email many time stating that I want a refund.

    We too have been scammed by them. We got 4 of those e-mails stating our item was on backorder, and we replied to each of them to cancel the order. Luckily we kept all those e-mails, so we printed them out and are disputing it with the credit card company. They also told us that we weren't charged for the merchandise, but we were. Hopefully this works, and hopefully they don't charge us again so we need to go through the process twice! This company is totally incompetent! I feel like it's actually run out of someone garage or something! My husband also tried calling 4 phone numbers they gave out as customer service numbers, and the phone number I got of the Better Business Bureau website, and none of them worked. Good luck!

    They got us too at Christmas time.  We lost over $200.00.  We have been through all the e mails and the back order crap too.  It has driven us insain.  Their site is still open and I am sure people are still being scamed.  Someon needs to do somthing about this.

    I bought the complete box set of felicity for my girlffriend in november 07 and this company took my money straight away and because i was from australia the postage was $50 dollars to start with!! i have as yet not received my product and only 1 email returned asking for my order number and it is now march 08. I have emailed this scam company everyday but not 1 reply!! can someone please help me or tell me of someone who can. i Have lost almost $250 to these pricks

    I too was ripped off by www.tvaddicts.tv.  I ordered 2 sets of old times shows, Highway Patrol and Rescue 8.  My order was placed on 11/08/2007 and I used my credit card to pay for the order.  My credit card was immediately charged for the entire purchase price of $258.01.  At first, I thought this was a good sign since I expected my order would be shipped immediately.  Today is 03/22/2008, I still have not received my order.  I have called, emailed and visited the live on-line 'chat with an operator' link.  All I received for tvaddicts were excuses (and promises) that my shows were on backorder and would be shipped 'next week'.  Unfortunately, 'next week' has never arrived in almost 5 months.  Eventually, tvaddicts stopped answering my emails and phone messages left on their voicemail system were never returned.  Now the phone numbers have all been disconnected and the website has disappeared from the internet.  I have been in touch with my credit card issuer and they have issued a 'conditional credit' to my account for $258.01, pending the conclusion of their fraud investigation.  I would suggest to others that have been ripped off by tvaddicts (or one of the other internet website names they have been operating under) to immediately contact their credit card issuer.  They may be able to assist you in getting you money back.  Good luck to all who have fallen victim to these con artists and thieves ....

    Today is June 1, 2008 and I still have not received my order even though my credit card was charged for $258.01 back on November 9, 2007.  The customer service number is still being answered by and automatic computer attendant, but when the system transfers my call to a customer service representative I get a recording stating "my party is not available".  I have been ripped off for a rather large amount of money.  I continue to try to have my funds returned to me from my credit card issuer.  Has anyone received a permanent refund credit to their credit card from the card issuer?  Any suggestions on how to proceed or what additional action could be taken against the TV Addicts scam artists would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks! -Steve

    I was on the verge of buying the entire set of the Fall Guy from these people. Thank you all so much for the warnings.It is good of you all to let others know what will happen to them rather than sit back and think"oh well,i was conned so...."

    I got screwed by them too. Ordered from them, and then I found out that they were frauds so I tried cancelling the order, but could never get anyone to answer amails.  Then instead of charging my credit card for the amount of my order, they started going to different sites and charging stuff with my card number.  Luckily I caught it right away and had the account closed.  If you do some checking on the tv shows the have on their site, most of them have never been released on dvd before, ever, or the entire series isn't out yet, and yet they're selling the entire series of a show.  They have it now that you can't even contact them on the website.

    I just ordered a series from them, and then received daily backorder emails.  The day after I placed the order, I started receiving fraudulent charges on my credit card, and I had to close the account.  How frustrating!

    Yes, allow me to thank all of you as well for being conscientious and taking the time to save others a lot of trouble...I appreciate it.

    I hope there will be some way for you to get back at them legally.  Maybe by contacting the Arizona (where the company seems to be based) Attorney General(?).

    I was just ripped off by this group as nothing came up under my Google search of their current name -
    TVShowBoxSet.tv . I found this bulletin board about ten minutes after I placed my order. Thank goodness they only wound up with a PayPal balance and not a useable credit card number since it sounds like others have had theirs misused.

    I just thought I would post the new name to help protect others.
