I purchased ''Maverick'' tv series from these crooks before I read about the dozens of complaints about this rogue trader.I would just like to warn people about purchasing complete tv series on the Internet,especially those series from the 1950's,the vast majority of which are not in the public domain.Stick with the reputably established online companies like AMAZON etc.

    I have placed an order for a box set on this site http://www.tvshowboxset.tv/ which is now showing as under construction. I paid using paypal , i have opened a dispute based upon what i have read here . I followed a link from ebay this site .
    What is my chance of getting payment back ? any ideas??

    Be careful, here is another one of there sites www.dvdmd.tv/ and they are set up the same as the rest. Should have known that the prices were too good to be true

    I too have fallen victim to this website http://www.TvShowBoxSet.tv as of December 11, 2008.  Made a purchase of a Bond series and since then no confirmation shipping no nothing.  Tried contacting them by email or going back to the site and the site is saying under construction or unavaiable or try again later.  Please please be careful people, this is a fraudulent website.  I too made a payment through PayPall, however it was too late to cancel, so i made a complaint.  Hopefully PayPal stops receiving payments on their behalf and report them to some type of agency.  I am hopping mad about this, i've lost money and have to pay it out and have nothing to show for it, these people should be in jail.  Isn't anyone doing anything about them.  Their IP address is 64.151.255.240.

    I also have bought something from the above site http://www.TvShowBoxSet.tv. I have just now filed a dispute against them with paypal because that's what I paid with.  I'd try that first if you paid with paypal, or if you paid with a credit card to immediately call the credit card company. I am also going to file a complaint here http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx depending how things go.

    I puchased the Star Trek box set,$73.99 and no replies from this web site tvshowboxset.tv  the site is now down and they dont respond to emails,just cancelled my credit card and filed a dispute over the purchse before they can run up my card with charges. They are crooks big time

    I purchased thru tvshowboxset.tv,it took me thru paypal,but opted to pay by credit card,when I called my credit card company about the purchase the phone number they had for tvshowboxset was a number for paypal,there number doent exist,same as there website,paypal has there email address as sales_tvshowboxset.hotmail.com  but they never answere,sent them 12 email in a row with conformation that they had read the email,so far zip,thay are a scam,also filed complaint thru http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

    I purchased thru tvshowboxset@hotmail.com, O.C. complete season for 86.99. It still has not come and I ordered it Dec. 7th for a Christmas present.I went thru pay pal and it's already been charged to our credit card account.And of course we can't get a responce from them either to find out where it is.  I was so bummed out to find out this morning that there is lots of complants against them and that I probably won't get the season and will have to go purchase it again somewhere else.  I called the attourney generals office they are going to send me a complaint form to fill out but I don't think it will do any good.

    you have to dispute with credit card or pay pal or do even both ... thats what im doin...i opened up a dispute with paypal and if they dont respond then i get my money back i got hosed too from the same site thinking i was getting the best deal but ima get my money back i suggest u do somethin bout it too

    EVERYONE THAT RECENTLY MADE PURCHASES FROM PEOPLE SHOULD EITHER OPEN DISPUTE WITH CREDIT CARD OR PAYPAL TO GET YUR MONEY BACK!! THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO I BOUGHT SMALLVILLE AND SOPRANOS BOX SETS FOR A XMAS PRESENT HOWEVER WHEN CHECKING STATUS OR LACK THERE OF I STUBBLED ON HERE UNFORTUNATELY WHEN IT WAS TOO LATE.. IMMEDIATELY FINDING OUT MY NEXT STEP WAS OPENING AN ESCULATED DISPUTE WITH PAYPAL THIS WAS DEC17 THEY SAY THAT IF THE COMPANY DOES NOT REPLY BY DEC27 I GET MY MONEY BACK SO I SUGGEST WHO EVER USED PAY PAL TO OPEN THE DISPUTE INCLUDE THIS LINK OF THIS SITE THATS WHAT I DID. IF AFTER 14 DAYS I DONT RECIEVE PRODUCT WHICH WE ALL KNOW I WONT MY CREDIT WILL GIVE ME THE MONEY BACK SO EITHER WAY I GET IT BACK WHO EVER RESSOLVES IT FASTER.. PLEASE DONT THINK THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO CUZ THERE IS SOMETHING U CAN DO..     you can get the money back if you tell yur credit card company that the tvshowboxset ppl are a fradulent company.. itll work for me dont think u lost yur money , youll only lose it if you dont do anything bout it

    you chances are very good my dispute thru pay pal is closing by dec 27 and it says if the company doesnt reply by then i get the money back

    I have used the Attorney General office for problems in the past, and though it took some time, they did in fact catch the person(s) and prosecute.  So its always worth filing.
    I too have been ripped off by these people.  
    Lets stick together and get a good heavy report on them so that they get caught!

    Thanks for the info, and add me to the list of people who got scammed. I made a purchase on Dec 8 but got worried since the website has been under construction for some time. I did pay through pay pal so Ill be filing a claim.

    I too have been scammed I am afraid by this same site.  I paid through pay pal and have already filed a complaint.  This is actually really sad for me because even though it was my pay pal account it was my little brother's money who wanted to buy a box set for our mother.  Hopefully it works out for everyone and they catch these people.  Good Luck everyone.

    Yeah i purchased a box set on December 12th ad haven't heard a thing since and then i filed a claim on PayPal and now i look it up and here it is a SCAM....I encourage people to file a claim through http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx so it will make it easier for officials to catch and prosecute them.

    I also bought a box set from this fraudulent company. I opened up a dispute with PayPal today. I'm so glad I used PayPal instead of my credit card. I know I'll get my money back from them. Buyer beware.  It's too late for my Christmas gift to arrive.
