Just got off the phone with "Frank" who i promise was not born "Frank".  Very little English.  I am prone to fall for "too good to be true opportunities" at times and almost gave in to this.  I was lucky enough to keep him on the phone long enough to google the company's name Ultimate Savings Plus and saw this site.  Glad others have posted.  Saved me $ and a pain in teh rump situation.

Thanks OregonLove!!!!  Your situation was the only one exactly like mine.  A common situation when I pay off my card about every 30 days is that my account is paid, but nothing is available on the card.  Typically, when I see that, understanding that there is a "hold" on my account, all I have to do is call up Capital One's Customer Service, and the hold is lifted and the funds become available.  Today was different; I contacted the same 1-800-955-7070 on the back of my card and was re-directed to an unusual recording stating that I was selected to benefit from an offer where for the fee of $2.95, I would receive $200 in gas vouchers and other bonuses, followed by toll-free directory assistance.  After several moments of listening to this great offer, I was told to write down an access number to contact Customer Service.  THIS is totally unacceptable customer service practice and makes someone that deals with unsavory characters all of the time VERY SUSPICIOUS.  I spoke with someone from the "Benefit Rewards" and they attempt to sell me on the deal.  Why wouldn't I want to receive $200 for only $2.95?  I even asked the agent on the phone if any recurring fee would come about after the 30 days, if I do not cancel, and I was told it is a first and last time fee.  Sounds great, right?  Something still did not sit with me, so I asked to be connected to Capital One Customer Service and the agent told me he was unable to do so.  I pulled the Online Banking Support Number (1-866-750-0873) and was able to talk to an agent that was very helpful and took care of my problem, but even he said that this offer was legitimate.  Before I called the previous number back, I referred to the internet, in order to see if there were any cases like my own and came across one called "Complaint Wire" where there were many similar cases, but none exactly like my own.  That was until I came across "OregonLove" who's case was exactly like mine.  Here is what OregonLove stated:

Pretty much the same thing that everyone is saying. they called me, but their number was from Illinois. 773-488-8148
The first guy was insistant on getting my CC info. But i don't give it out to inbound calls. He gave me his company name. I told him, "Listen. how about, YOU pay the 2.95 shipping and handling, and then YOU can keep the walmart gift card, as my gift to you."
I swear, he was SPEECHLESS. LOL
I told him to call back, then came here to confirm my many suspicions. They won't scam me!!

I am now getting calls from all you poor customers who got scammed.  Apparently, this company gave out a toll free number to unsubscribe from the services (877-789-5249) except, that is MY toll free number for my real estate appraisal service, here in Clermont, Florida!  (http://AmcAppraisalsinc.com)  My heart goes out to the 12+ people I have talked to this week, looking for help, only to find they were given a wrong number.

    Hahahah!
I just got a call from a "Jack Nelson" foreign accent... Describing everything written above. I knew it was a scam when he came on the line but I stayed on anyway to mess with him. I nearly passed out when he said his name was Jack Nelson! For all the Jack Nelsons in the world I am truly sorry there is someone out there tarnishing your name.

My spouse will be happy though because my monthly need for an arguement has been fulfilled and we will skip this month!

Now that's lame...You pay for all those incoming calls too. So if they don't scam you with their gift cards they'll get you with sending calls to your #. I would see if you could dispute those charges.

My ordeal started around september 6th or so. I got a call from a man with a very heavy Indian accent asking if I had received my package yet, I asked him what package he was talking about and he said " your $500 grocery card and $50 wal-mart card " I told him I had no idea what he was talking about and he kept insisting that I give him authorization to charge my debit card $4.95. I told him I wanted nothing to do with him or his offer. He then told me he already had my card info (which he did because he rambled off every digit) and that I personally gave him my info when he called 3 days earlier. Here's the kicker, we had just moved and our phone was down for 3 days, one of which was the day he claims to have called me. He kept calling me " the damn lie" and saying I was trying " to do the rip me off" after 2 and a half hours he finally hung up. Since then on a daily basis we get at least 10 calls a day from this same a**hole. I had to cancel my card and signed up for lifelock.
Today was the last straw. He called again and I accidentally answered the phone, this time I thought maybe if I'm polite he'll finally stop. Oh noooo, he told me he was going to continue daily until I gave him authorization. when my husband heard me argueing with him again he got on the phone and he told my husband that we were American pigs, that he was going to come to our house and rape me, sell our daughters in his home country and that we needed to mind our words, you can imagine what the rest of the conversation was like. Can you believe the balls on this guy? He has the nerve to call my house, threaten me and my family and tell us to mind our words? If only he would come over, I've got a lot more than $4.95 for his ass!

I got a call from these idiots tonight.  I was obviously skeptical, but was somehow initially lulled into forking over my CC number and expiration date.  I confirmed my home address, even though they had it already...

I snapped out of the fog when I was transfered to the "manager" and I tried to back out of the deal.  The f*cking [***] claimed my $2.95 was already going to be charged and the only way to back out of it was to first verify my info, accept the trial offers, receive my confirmation number, and THEN cancel.  That was just too much to believe, so I yelled at him for a couple minutes and hung up.  If only I had taken the opportunity to make ethnic jokes and mock his stupid East Indian accent and broken English.

I called my bank immediately and canceled my debit card.  Better that mild inconvenience than being charged for some nonsensical scam "offer."

I received a call on my cell phone this morning, from this guy and i could barely understand what he was saying. he said that because of customer appreciation month me and all of the other customers were receiving a $500.00 food/merchandise voucher.  he gave me a website www.ultimate savings plus. com, he also gave me his name which was alexander rudolph he gave me a ID# 0565. He constantly stated throughout the call that there was no charge or subscription to anything.  Almost at the end of the conversation the idiot stated that i needed $2.95 for a fee for the package.  I told him that i didnt have my card with me and then he began to sound desperate. Maam you can use any card. Didnt I just tell you i didnt have my card with me? Ok Maam maybe one of your friends or family memebers. I already told you no one time. Ok maam i'll call you back tomorrow morning and have your card with you. Did i Sound like an idiot to alexander or what?

I also got a phone call today from a person who had a heavy accent. So much so that I could barely understand him. He said that I won $200 gas coupon and $500 grocery card and all i would have to pay is $2.95 shipping. I checked online and found this site before I even gave my name. I knew it seemed too good to be true.

I have been called on my cell phone multiple times.  When I finally answered the call, I got a computer voice telling me I had won $500 worth of groceries.  To accept, press 1.  I hung up the first two times.  But they kept calling.  I finally pressed 1 and got a live person.  At first, I asked politely, what company was calling.  Ultimate Savings.  I then asked for the phone number of the corporate office and for their address.  He refused, saying he would lose his job.  He asked if wanted the offer, to which I said, I want to speak with your supervisor.  John came on the phone, refused to answer my questions, and hung up on me.  Call came in from 910-671-3833, but when I called the number nobody picked up. Total SCAM.  Hope the FCC takes them down. BREAKING NEWS ... while I am typing this, my daughter got a call on her cell phone from the same number. Geez.

I feel like such an idiot!!!  You know you hear gas and grocery vouchers and all you have to do is try something but you can cancell, it's like it's just a phone call, I can do that, we need the money so bad I could save on gas and groceries.   I Could hardly understand ANYTHING the guy on the phone, was saying, RED FLAG, stupid!!  Asked to speak to his supervisor, AGAIN could not understand this guy either, RED FLAG, idiot.  I ask for this guys name, he says it is "John Regan", RED FLAG, dummy.  I just want to kick myself, there were SOOOO many red flags letting me know it was probably a scam.  But in the euphoria or wanting to get vouchers for these things so I can afford other stuff that needs to be taken care of I did not think clearly.  The next day go to call the numbers given to me to cancell and the number was disconnected.

I did call my bank today and the card has been cancelled, but now instead of calling to cancell things that I was lied to about, I have to call and cancell my bank card and call all the companies that I have automatic payments out of my account. DUMB DUMB DUMB Me!!!

Ya, on that 25.00 WalMart card, that is through Net Detective.  YOu have to spend 100.00, less tax, send them the receipts and supposidly they will send you a 25.00 card.  But WHO KNOWS, as I said to the lady I was talking to when she said I could check up on friends, co-workers and even myself with their program, "First of all I should be ckecking up on Net Detective and the companies you are abviously affiliated with. If I need to check up on friends then they are probably people I shouldn't be socializing with anyway and I have no need to check up on me since I am with me everyday and know exactly what I am doing, don't need to pay a company to tell me what I am doing!!!"
